Then, I have to select the particular command I want to implement by scrolling through a drop-down and then selecting the models and presets. Kerlig is an awesome AI aid for text-based work: write, rewrite, summarize, explain, extend, translate text literally at your fingertips in any macOS app or the OS itself. It integrates a variety of GenAI LLMs (Generative AI Large Language Models) like ChatGPT, Claude, Llama3, Mixtral, etc. via your own API key(s), so you can decide what model you use for your specific purpose. You can even switch tonality and define your own system prompts to better fit your needs. Installation is "mac-like" super easy, and meanwhile, I use it daily for nearly any text-based work. The documentation is very good, and support in case of questions is really quick. A big plus is also the fact that it comes as a one-time-payment app. No recurring fees! Really not much to say on this side of the medal. It already brings all the functionality I need. The one thing missing is perhaps the integration of local open-source LLMs, e.g., via Ollama.
