Karma Compass Reviews & Product Details

Karma Compass is board management software for nonprofits. It works like a chief of staff for your board. It prepares the work, your team reviews it, and the board stays in control. Most board portals fail because directors never log in. Compass works around that. Directors get the packet, RSVPs, votes and action items by email, and can act on them from their phone. They can also ask questions about the board packet and get answers that cite the page they came from. For staff, Compass handles the work between meetings: 1. Agendas and packets: build an agenda or paste the one you already have, collect documents, and send a single packet. 2. Minutes: upload a recording, transcript or notes and get draft minutes with motions, decisions and action items to review. 3. Action items: track who owes what, including items with several owners. Compass drafts the reminder or follow-up email, and you decide whether to send it. 4. Mission Control: one screen that shows what needs your attention before the next meeting. 5. Playbooks: routine checks that run on a schedule, such as a monthly filings and good standing check against IRS records and state charity registries. 6. Ask Compass: ask questions about your board’s meetings, decisions and documents. Nothing goes out without a person approving it. As your team gets comfortable, you can let Compass take on more.
