Integrations work well with a range of softwares. Particularly TaxDome which is our practice management software. Overall the performance is good in making tax returns more efficient to complete. The pricing is fair given the range of systems and services available and the team are constantly looking for feedback to refine the product. They actually listen to their customers. The AI tech is good, form uploads are accurate and information in Advisor is good especially because it lists the sources directly and you can access them easily. **What do you dislike about Juno Tax?** Sometimes there are bugs when you are working with more complicated situations but I have found that if I simply flag this to the development team they will turn around with a fix very quickly. If I have a suggestion they listen and evaluate and in some circumstances have added it. **What problems is Juno Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** Its making my practice more efficient. We aren't a large firm so problems can compound quickly if not addressed. Anything that reduce return processing time to increase output and add more value for clients by helping to spot opportunities makes a large tangible difference to our bottom line. ### 2. I find it very efficient in understanding standardized IRS forms, which speeds up our data entry process into the tax software. The AI assistants in Juno are excellent at picking up tax problems in returns. I also enjoy using the advisor feature, which reviews the current year 1040, the prior year 1040, and all source documents to help us come up with tax planning strategies. The initial setup was very easy, and the management team is amazing. Overall, Juno Tax has been working much better for us compared to PFX Autoflow. **What do you dislike about Juno Tax?** I find their calculator doesn't work too well, and I notice the source documents in bookmarked PDFs are always in a bad order; they should go in the order of the return. Besides that, everything works very well. **What problems is Juno Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Juno Tax to speed up data entry of IRS forms, find tax issues with AI assistants, and develop tax planning strategies using the advisor feature. ### 3. The interface is easy to use, which makes the process more straightforward. I also appreciate the assistant, adviser, and reviewer features; I've used them all and they are quite helpful. In particular, the reviewer function is great since it allows me to upload and review documents, which has occasionally caught things that helped me improve my work's quality. Additionally, the initial setup was really easy, with a great onboarding experience thanks to the team, especially McKinsey. **What do you dislike about Juno Tax?** Some of the prep for the business returns seems a bit off. I've noticed a little bit of weirdness with statement details, like some deductions that need custom labeling come through as generic labeling. Also, some assets and distributions don't come through properly. So, it doesn't streamline the business tax return quite as much as the personal ones. Overall, I'm still happy with it, but that's where I'd like to see improvement. **What problems is Juno Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find Juno Tax speeds up my tax prep significantly, solving the input difficulties I had with Drakes. It eliminates almost all cumbersome inputting, making my process much easier. ### 4. They are extremely open to criticism and suggestions to improve the software. They're extremely responsive to any comments or support that you need. There's a community that includes other users and Juno staff where everyone talks and discusses how they can make it a better software overall, which is vastly different from other software out there. **What do you dislike about Juno Tax?** I think their business prep software is still a little buggy in its earlier stages, but that's expected with a brand new software/feature. It was only released a couple of months ago or so, and Juno's track record up to this point tells me that they will certainly improve that feature and correct existing errors as they go. **What problems is Juno Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use Juno Tax to improve tax prep efficiency and accuracy by automating data entry and workpaper organization, as well as aiding in the review process. Juno's Assistant feature also saves me hours of research time on both generic tax law questions and even very specific, unique tax circumstances. ### 5. The AI engine works really well. Had a client upload photos of his docs to me. Traditional OCR picked up only 2 out of 24 documents, but Juno accurately read 23 of the 24 docs. **What do you dislike about Juno Tax?** Really nothing so far. Been great to use. They really take feedback and work to incorporate it into the product. **What problems is Juno Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** It’s helping me streamline my data input and processing, which is a big deal since I’m a one-man shop. So far, it’s been working really well. ### 6. Also, their customer service is great. **What do you dislike about Juno Tax?** As they get bigger I can tell it will be more difficult to suggest product updates, and in turn, see them implemented. Might be helpful going forward if they had select firms that are used to give suggestions and work directly with the engineers, as opposed to submitting suggestion forms, etc. **What problems is Juno Tax solving and how is that benefiting you?** Lack of staff and time myself.
