It can be used for monitoring microservice-based architectures. ## Jaeger Reviews ### 1. Great tool for analyzing logs in a multi services system **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2023 **What do you like best about Jaeger?** The ability to combine logs of multiple services which consist the same flow across the services, thus providing a deep understanding of the system. **What do you dislike about Jaeger?** Sometimes the time duration represented by each log entry is not that clear (at least for me). **What problems is Jaeger solving and how is that benefiting you?** The problem Jaeger is solving is analyzing logs in a multi services environment. It is benefiting me because I'm working with a system which is consisted of multiple micro services. Often it is required to anaylize a flow which goes across the system, thus understanding the interaction in each service is crucial in our day to day life. ### 2. Through sharing a ride, individuals are able to be helped. **What do you dislike about Jaeger?** I am able to rest assured that the driver is qualified because of the background check that Uber runs on its drivers, but a hesitancy that I have is the quality of driver or care of the driver. **Recommendations to others considering Jaeger:** A blanket rule on whether or not open alcohol is allowed in cars would be nice. It seems a little confusing right now. **What problems is Jaeger solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is useful for ridesharing. The benefit of Uber is that I am able to rely on a company for my transportation needs and not have to drive everywhere. We were able to use this option multiple times. ### 3. Easy sign-up and you're off! **What do you dislike about Jaeger?** Nothing I can really think of right now. **Recommendations to others considering Jaeger:** Thanks for a great product, take care of your driver! **What problems is Jaeger solving and how is that benefiting you?** Again, unless we need a rental vehicle for moving product around, when we travel if it is just people it couldn't get any more convenient. Multiple parties can schedule their own rides at their convenience and it doesn't take other people to coordinate travel like it used to. ### 6. It's nice to know that the cost is taken care of up-front so that you don't need to worry about going through the process of reimbursement, but rather have it be taken care of right away. **What do you dislike about Jaeger?** It's great! It's sometimes a little confusing transferring between the company card and a personal card, which could definitely cause problems down the line. I wish it was clearer which card you were on and which one you're using to pay for each ride, but as long as you are being attentive, it's not too terribly difficult to figure out. **Recommendations to others considering Jaeger:** Definitely consider implementing it for your organization. If you find the ease of use as beneficial as we have, I absolutely recommend giving it a shot! **What problems is Jaeger solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps simplify our reimbursement strategy and also helps us keep track of what employees have had to travel where & the associated cost. Therefore, we are able to look at a more holistic picture of the organization and where money is being spent (And where we could use our funding more effectively in terms of travel) all organized within the confines of an app. It's great for an organization that already struggles with principles of organization & therefore definitely benefit from having all of this information contained with the framework of this application. ### 7. A couple clicks and you are on your way quickly and efficiently. **What do you dislike about Jaeger?** I think with more safety choices on the app, which they have already started, it will be even better. Sometimes if you live outside a city the app glitches more than within the city. For instance, it will say I have a driver then the map will disappear and it’ll double the time on the drivers arrival. **What problems is Jaeger solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it for all of our clients, so the good news is they feel safer now with all the new features. If also is helping us with having excellent record keeping for past rides and amounts ### 8.
