**What do you like best about InsightConnect?**

Its good, its not the best. it has a lot of potential to improvise.

**What do you dislike about InsightConnect?**

I have been using insightconnect for about a year now. I am a security engineer and in a small security team where automation is priority where possible. unfortunately I had high hopes with insightconnect, it has some good workflow but usually they dont work, sometimes it needs the plugins updating which needs to be done manually and it is a great deal  of a task to update the plugins manually inside a workflow. it asks for a lot of admin efforts and it is definitely not for someone who doesnt have extensive knowledge of security automation already (which in my opinion destroys the purpose of buying such a product, doesn't it?) It is a nightmare to build a workflow from scratch because both Rapid7 documentation and support team will not be able to help you (or at least that's what happened with me in a number of instances).

**What problems is InsightConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I hoped it would solve a lot of problems for us and help us move forward with SOAR. unfortunately there are many limitations to this tool, documentation is not comprehensive, it requires a lot of administrative efforts and R7 support is not pretty good solving your automation goals when you seek help.

**What do you like best about InsightConnect?**

The numerous out-of-the-box connectors with different services and platforms. Because of the customization, you can do almost whatever you want and automate the mundane. Finally, it's Rapid7, so you know you'll get excellent service. Connect itself is in reality smooth to use, and provides fee from day one. It became very smooth to expose the fee to the board.

**What do you dislike about InsightConnect?**

The user-friendliness could be enhanced. Make sure you or someone on your team knows at least one scripting language well, as specified in the overall experience and depending on how customized your workflows must be. Plugin updates can also take a long time.

**Recommendations to others considering InsightConnect:**

This solution is simple to set up and then integrate with a variety of other solutions via plugins (ticketing systems, EDR solutions, open-source intelligence platforms, firewalls, etc). Depending on the results you want from a SOAR solution, you may require a lot of customization, which is where scripting knowledge comes in. In our context, this is true, and because my understanding of this area is limited, it will take some time to completely operationalize our intended procedures.

InsightConnect - SOAR is helping manage customer relations in a better way & automate business processes.

**What do you like best about InsightConnect?**

I love how many integrations it has and how more are added over time. It is extremely feature-rich and our organization has just scratched the surface of implementation.

**What do you dislike about InsightConnect?**

Having a clear vision for InsightConnect usage is a must and our organization doesn't have a clear vision for it's usage. It lacks integrations with Google Chat.

**What problems is InsightConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Threat intel has been the biggest benefit for us so far! We've been able to automate repetitive security actions with InsightConnect. We've got our AD and LDAP integrated.

**What do you like best about InsightConnect?**

Ability to integrate with MS Teams/Slack to allow for interaction with systems while on the go.

**What do you dislike about InsightConnect?**

Could include a reporting option, although most of the useful metrics are available via widget.

**What problems is InsightConnect solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automation, Automation, Automation.  We are able to streamline onboarding/offboarding, isolate devices that have been compromised, kick-off workflows/tasks from anywhere via Teams/Slack integrations, Powershell/Python script support to help close any gaps due to no existing plug-ins...
