V. | Project Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2024 **What do you like best about InfoWorks ICM SE?** The best thing i like about this softwere is that it can be used with ease for complex water system. i have frequently used it on few of my projects to automate many user operations which help our team to minimize time speding on creation calibrating models.it is most powerfull tool for engineers , town planning dep. and munciple authorities for dainage sewer designs as well.their customer support is also very good. **What do you dislike about InfoWorks ICM SE?** one thing i dislike about infowork is it doesnt provide 3D modelling. if user required 3D modelling as need of project then hue will have to use other softwere. **What problems is InfoWorks ICM SE solving and how is that benefiting you?** InfoWORK ICM is best tool for 1D 2D Hydaulic modelling.i have used it on few of my projects for planning and mangeging stormwater and wastewater and make models quickly. this softwere best quality model for any size of project.they also have plenty of user tutorials which help me smoothly process my project. ### 2. Certain tools being not straight forward are improvised in later versions and are more easy to use. **What problems is InfoWorks ICM SE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Solutions proposal on real field problems on flooding and pollution of rivers and water bodies. ### 3. Love how I can import data from multiple sources. The best part is the final product we received after catchment area analysis which gives precise data to plan the mitigation strategies in floody areas. Also as it is autodesk software works softly in the integration. **What do you dislike about InfoWorks ICM SE?** Faced some minor issues working on ArcGIS and getting files set up from the same. This seems to be a temporary glitch. Also need to avail the training data as it is not easily available as available for revit **What problems is InfoWorks ICM SE solving and how is that benefiting you?** Infoworks gives me ability to perform multiple types of analysis like risk analysis and quality analysis on the catchment area in the same place and have all the data in correct format right out of the process. The modelling process made our work easy and sorted so saves times which helps us to increase quality of work and provide better solutions for risk mitigation in high precipitaion zones also the sewage line modelling and grading tools made the InfoWorks ICM SE my favourite Hydro engineering tool. ### 4. It lets you simulate floods and pollution, works well with different kinds of data, helps you test different scenarios, shows results clearly, and comes with good support. Easy to integrate with other softwares. **What do you dislike about InfoWorks ICM SE?** I think InfoWorks ICM SE is complicated so need to spend lot of time and resource to make them Competant to work on the Project, costs a bit much so we are not able to implement it on the smaller projects even we are interested, relies heavily on high Quality data, and can have issues with updates. **What problems is InfoWorks ICM SE solving and how is that benefiting you?** InfoWorks ICM SE combines various model types to improve water management. On the other hand, the diverse options it provides are available on a single platform. And, as it is Autodesk software, it always helps to integrate with other software. And the biggest part of why I prefer it is the catchment area analysis tools available in the platform. **What do you dislike about InfoWorks ICM SE?** As I mentioned in the previous question, it has an easy interface and is easy to learn, but not enough data is available for first-time learners. When I learned Revit, many local tutorials were available, but I faced challenges in the initial phase of learning the platform. Afterward, it became easy for me to work on it. Due the cost constraints we still not able to utilize it on the smaller scale project **What problems is InfoWorks ICM SE solving and how is that benefiting you?** We mainly utilize it to study catchment areas with heavy precipitation zones to provide solutions for managing flood risks. Infoworks ICM SE helps us in visualising the flooding scenarios which would inturn help us in preparation of evacuation plans and also would help us to prevent loss of public life and property. It helps us in planning and decision making for various water management projects. The software is very easy to use and is user friendly. Also, implementation of software through our organisation was very easily implemented.The customer support of Infoworks is very responsive and reacts fast. **What do you dislike about InfoWorks ICM SE?** One thing which I dislike is the cost of software was little too high so we were unable to use it for our various projects even though it had varities of features compared to other competitors. For creating a effective model the software requires large amount of data and is time taking.This software requires high end systems for the software to function effectively so it lead to less use of software. **What problems is InfoWorks ICM SE solving and how is that benefiting you?** The main problem which Infoworks ICM SE is solving it enables us to model the water management systems effectively. It is helping us in accurately modelling flood scenarios which is helping us to present the accurate data to clients in effective way which in turn is increasing our business.
