"Ignition Solves Unique, Real-World Problems"
5/5
What do you like best about Ignition?

As a software development platform it is possible to build basically anything in Ignition which has allowed me and my team to solve very interesting and unique problems for manufacturing companies as well as non-manufacturing companies looking for software solutions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

Ignition has a steep learning curve, especially with Perspective. Combining Perspective with Vision causes some market confusion although this is less now than when Perspective was first released.

Not being able to use modern Python features is also annoying since Ignition uses Jython. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy-to-Follow Manuals and an Intuitive Ignition Interface"
5/5
What do you like best about Ignition?

The website and manuals are very easy to follow and understand. It may be me, but I find the Ignition interface very easy to use too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

Sometimes when I conduct searches in the manual it is too generic and doesn't provide what I'm specifically looking for. I then find myself searching for information in ChatGPT where I should have just easily been able to find it in ignitions site. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlines SCADA with Unmatched Flexibility"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Ignition?

I use Ignition for SCADA applications, and I find it great at connecting multiple factory devices and databases to create an HMI. It's amazing how it helps connect PLCs and other factory devices to a single system where I can view data and control through an HMI. One of the things I like the most about Ignition is how easy it is to begin using it. Once I got used to it, diving deep and learning to accomplish complex tasks became easy. The flexibility of the system is a huge plus, allowing me to implement what a client asks for with ease due to the big community and a wide amount of resources available. The initial setup was very easy as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

The reporting module is not as intuitive as the other modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Unlimited Licensing and Open Architecture Make Ignition Easy to Scale"
5/5
What do you like best about Ignition?

What I like most about Ignition is its unlimited licensing and open architecture. It gives you unlimited tags, clients, and designers while supporting open technologies like OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, and Python, making it easy to scale from a small project to an enterprise solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

Ignition gives you enormous flexibility, but that also means you often have to build more of the solution yourself compared to some industry-specific SCADA platforms Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Integration with Scalability and Versatile Tool Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Ignition?

I am using Ignition to integrate over 200 remote edge units, and I love its scalability because I can apply a standard design to multiple iterations with minimal need for redesign. I really like its ability to work with CS tools and how it smoothly combines with Docker and VS Code, allowing me to manage my Docker containers from a unified directory and make global changes using the open API. The initial setup was very easy for my team, thanks to the core class that helped us get up to speed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

Ever since version 8.3 launched, there have been weird, one-off performance issues that don’t occur often enough to really remember or document, but there are still some bugs in 8.3 that have caused me to do some rework. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Amazing Software"
5/5
What do you like best about Ignition?

I love that Ignition is a product with a rich community and has become very developer-friendly, especially with Ignition 8.3. I appreciate its easy user interface and how it helps my team keep all our data in one place. It's relatively easy to use and develop with, making it ideal for controlling equipment in my lab. The product's tie-ins with MCPs and the ease of edibility really put Ignition above the rest. It allows me to easily whip up a very safe screen for my projects, making development quicker in a fast-paced environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

I think Ignition can be improved a bit. Version 8.3 was a great step forward, but it still has some legacy issues. I also think it could have more ease of use. I'm not sure what the plan is for Python three directly in Ignition, but I think that would be nice. Maybe MCP will solve that. It works well overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The license model, the freedom of creating what ever you want, the stability, AI integrations, Web-based and deployed, endles integration possibilities, and not to forget, the fantastic company behind it, Inductive Automation! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At the moment nothing else that I am surprised that so many companies still using old legacy SCADA. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Ignition?

Ignition is a wonderful platform for rapid development and deployment. It’s backed by an equally impressive organization that keeps its customers in mind as it continues refining the product. The CSS-driven UX helps keep everything dynamic and modern, qualities that aren’t always associated with manufacturing software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Ignition?

very few downsides with the software in the space. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
