Ideagen Internal Audit has proven to be a comprehensive and user-friendly solution for our organization's auditing needs. As someone who has previously worked with industry-leading tools like TeamMate and MetricStream, I can confidently say that Ideagen is on par with these established platforms in terms of functionality and ease of use. The software offers a wide range of features that streamline our audit processes, from planning and risk assessment to fieldwork and reporting.

One of the standout aspects of Ideagen Internal Audit is its new interface, which allows our team to navigate the system with ease - although there is learning curve involved for newcomers. The customizable views provide a clear overview of audit progress and key metrics, enabling better resource allocation and project management. Additionally, the robust reporting capabilities have significantly reduced the time we spend on generating and formatting audit reports, allowing us to focus more on analysis and value-added activities. The software's integration capabilities with the risk module also offer to improve our overall efficiency by importing risks from ERM and working closely with them. One of the primary concerns we've encountered is the rising licensing costs associated with the software's transition to a cloud-based model. Although we understand the advantages of cloud computing, the increased expenses have put some strain on our department's budget, particularly for smaller teams or organizations with limited resources.

Another aspect we're eagerly anticipating is the development of cloud-specific hosting solutions to address cross-border data export restrictions. Organizations often face challenges related to data sovereignty and compliance with various regional regulations. We're still waiting for a solution that will allow us to seamlessly manage our audit data without compromising on privacy law compliance. This limitation will potentially force many organizations to delay their move to the cloud.

Another concern is the limited support hours - even though its a regional issue for GCC clients. As our team is based in Saudi Arabia, we operate from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Saudi time. However, Ideagen's support team works in the UK from Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM London time. This time difference results in a very limited window for effective support. This narrow window often leads to delays in resolving critical issues and can impact our audit timelines. We would greatly appreciate if Ideagen could extend their support hours or provide a dedicated support team for the Middle East region to ensure more comprehensive coverage and timely assistance for their global customer base.
