Like much of Apple's products, it is aesthetically pleasing. It is easy to use and does exactly as it should. If I only used Apple products it might make this of a competition against Google Calendar. Most appointment setters including ICal so it is easy to download events to the ICal system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about iCal? It's only available on Apple products so more than half of my products cannot use it. This makes it more difficult to collaborate with others. There's a bit of elitism in that it is only accessible on Apple products and that doesn't feel right.
