Spectrum Archive eliminates the need for additional tape management and software to access data. By using Spectrum Archive I simply get moved the information which is less accessed to the other drives that I am not using as frequently. This is an opportunity to give room to running of the business operations. As I have full data protection on tape which is my rescue partner, I feel very comfortable. **What do you dislike about IBM Spectrum Archive?** Recovery of the files can be a resolute matter. In some cases, when I have to deal with old data, I also have to wait for copies getting from tapes, and this is often a major headache. Sometimes it takes hours to get back the most cumbersome file which can slowin workflow if fast pace is needed. **What problems is IBM Spectrum Archive solving and how is that benefiting you?** Spectrum Archive indeed being excellent on two accounts: long term storage and cost saving. In addition, the process of accessing the archived data is supported due to the slow recovery times which, hence, is the less preferred option when access to the data is demanded with much urgency. If yours archive is in need of restores quickly, this contribution might not do here too much. ### 2. Also a bit costly as its features are good.
