# What's the highest-rated freight management platform for transportation and logistics teams optimizing carrier selection?

What percentage reduction in freight spend did the systematic carrier comparison produce compared to previous manual quoting — and was the saving primarily from identifying cheaper contracted carriers or from surfacing competitive spot options on lanes where contracted rates were not competitive?

The genuinely defensible decision this question is after might structurally require at least two of these working together rather than one platform doing it all.

The five platforms here don't really compete on the same axis, they each own one piece of what "defensible carrier selection" would need: GoComet on price, Descartes MyCarrierPortal on carrier trust and fraud risk, Freightview on rate accuracy, DAT Load Board on mobile execution, DAT iQ on market benchmarking. That means picking a single "highest rated" platform for carrier selection could mean optimizing hard on one dimension while staying blind on another, a booking could be the cheapest option an auction model surfaces and still turn out to be a carrier with an insurance or fraud problem that only a dedicated vetting layer would have flagged.
