## HttpWatch Reviews
  ### 1. Simple and brilliant

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arun S. | Performance Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about HttpWatch?**

While chrome developer tools offer good troubleshooting capabilities, I would still prefer httpwatch for its splendid visualization via its intuitive timecharts and easy to use filtering options. It is just so easy to present to an audience and highlight where the latency is coming from.

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

It couldnt be used with Firefox because Mozilla stopped supporting it.

**Recommendations to others considering HttpWatch:**

Worth investing as long as the target browser is ie and chrome

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's a perfect tool to understand how the application is being rendered from the browser end, i.e caching, render start, DOM loading etc.

  ### 2. Excellent for Client side UI profiling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Prateek G. | Lead Performance Test Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2021

**What do you like best about HttpWatch?**

As part of performance testing, I've been using HTTP watch over to get the segregation of each request which is contributing to the Client-side UI response time and pinpoint exactly to the cause of high response time in a single page load, as it gives all the details about the CSS, js & all the multiple requests which took place in loading a that page

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

For each step, we have to record it separately. I wish if there could be a way to avoid that.

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Front End or Client-side UI profiling

  ### 3. Performance Test Architect

Provided the Calls from client to server . This helps easy debugging.

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

it can't used as a full-fledged FOSS performance test tool

**Recommendations to others considering HttpWatch:**

Some firms block the extension to be added in the browser. this needs to be worked based on security aspects

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Used HTTP watch to convert the scripts into Load runner or Jmeter scripts. HTTP watch helps where recording is not possible through the Load test tool

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

can introduce REST API client functionality in newer versions. Advanced proxy options should be available for different browsers.

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Usually during performance scripting lot of AJAX calls are not captured properly in Jmeter or Loadrunner recording. HTTP Watch was able to capture everything.

  ### 10. Very good tool for frontend profiling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rohit S. | Lead Performance Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2019

**What do you like best about HttpWatch?**

In performance testing as part of left shift we have to do frontend profiling along with server side performance testing. For frontend profiling i always recommend using https watch since it gives us great length of details for page rendering like css details, jss details, images, videos, and then the tool even shows how they are loaded.

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

Currently for each step we have to record the details seperately in http watch. It would be great if there is a feature where in in the tool itself we can have a create and end transaction feature wherein after each step we can end current transaction and start a new one.

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As stated earlier as part of left shift approach we have to start working on improving the application performance as early as possible. And to do that one way is to improve the application rendering time. To do so http watch is a great help.

  ### 11. Great web traffic analizer

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manuel Ricardo L. | Cisco Network Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2019

**What do you like best about HttpWatch?**

This tool allows you to use a free version that can capture web traffic and analize it in real time whout the need of purchasing the full version that can give you a great idea of the product and test it before purchase the full version.

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

The fact that the different versions are not compatible with eachother so if I purchased the version 10.0.62 and the final users is having issues with the content rewritter and takes a capture to analize it but it uses a version 9.4.17 when I receive that capture and try to open it with the professional version this will not be compatible, that is the only aspect of this product that I dislike, for the rest this is really good and helped me a lot.

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have a content rewritter application that modifies the web traffic, with this tool when the rewritter fails and part of the content does not load properly we can analyze it with the heko if this tolld to confirm exactly which part of the page did nto load properly.

  ### 12. Http guard Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo I. | Cisco Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2019

**What do you like best about HttpWatch?**

++One of the best sniffers that is very hasel free along with a very straight forward browser that does not require ultra bulky systems or extra system traffic or in my case multiple reloads on the equipment (unlike Wireshark)

++Works very likely simple to use that work on my browsers, this add on allow you to keep a track or of the pages that you surf on your browser.

**What do you dislike about HttpWatch?**

++ Does not work on all browser ( specifically I had issue with Firefox)

++It only the paid version allow you to read the captured traffic that the trial allow you to take, the trial should both allows you captured and read the content. Now this will only be displayed while doing the capture but with the saved capture would not be displayed afterwards unless again you use the paid service.

++It's no retro-compatible with previous versions.

**Recommendations to others considering HttpWatch:**

++Simple enough and very user friendly.

++allow you to keep a clean track of your connections and is an install and deployment process.

**What problems is HttpWatch solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This works on the usage of clientless remote access VPN that work as an anyconnect VPN, this tool will allow you to review the process and items that are being acquired on a webpage, the get and post on the web page will need to be displayed and this tool will keep a track of the assets that will be displayed and that are needed to be displayed.
