**What do you like best about HRSprout?**

What I like most about HRSprout is how simple, intuitive, and well-rounded it is for small library organizations like ours, with several standout features that make my daily HR work far easier and more efficient. I really appreciate its clean, user-friendly interface. The layout is straightforward and not overly complicated, allowing both HR coordinators and regular library staff to navigate the platform without extra training, cutting down on constant back-and-forth questions. I love the all-in-one simplicity it provides by combining employee record management, leave tracking, onboarding workflows, and basic HR admin tools in a single platform. I no longer need to switch between spreadsheets, email threads, and separate document folders. Another aspect I value is the customizable onboarding and approval workflows, which I can tailor specifically for library roles and set up multi-step approval chains for time-off requests. The automation of routine HR tasks saves me a massive amount of time each week by sending automatic reminders for pending approvals and document renewals. Lastly, HRSprout is lightweight yet functional for small teams, providing every core HR function needed without unnecessary features.

**What do you dislike about HRSprout?**

First, the reporting functionality is fairly basic and lacks depth and customization. The platform only offers simple pre-built reports for headcount and leave summaries, with very limited filtering options. I cannot create fully customized reports segmented by department, employment type, or part-time versus full-time library staff. There is no way to build saved custom dashboards for management reviews, so I often have to export raw data and manually organize it in spreadsheets to get the detailed insights we need. More flexible report building and advanced filtering would save me a lot of extra manual work. Second, the workflow customization has certain restrictions. While basic onboarding and leave approval chains are easy to set up, the platform lacks support for complex conditional workflows. I cannot set layered rules based on role, seniority, or different library branch locations. This means I can’t fully automate role-specific onboarding paths or location-based approval hierarchies, forcing me to keep some offline manual steps to complement the system. Document management and storage capabilities could be much more robust. Right now, we can upload basic employee files, but the system lacks organized folder categorization, automatic document expiration reminders, and version control for updated policies, handbooks, and certification forms. For library staff who require regular license renewals and background check updates, we have no built-in alerts when documents are about to expire. We still have to track these deadlines manually outside the platform. It would be extremely helpful to have auto-reminders, labeled folder structures by department or document type, and the ability to archive old versions without cluttering active employee profiles. Lack of granular permission control for managers and supervisors. Currently, role-based access is fairly generic. I can’t set customized permissions where department leads only view their own team’s employee data, leave requests, and onboarding progress, without seeing the entire organization’s staff records. This creates minor privacy concerns and limits how we safely delegate HR tasks to branch supervisors. More refined, team-specific permission settings would let us share workload responsibly while keeping sensitive employee data properly restricted.

**What problems is HRSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRSprout effectively solves many longstanding HR pain points our library organization struggled with for years. Before implementing HRSprout, we relied entirely on disorganized Excel spreadsheets, scattered physical paperwork, endless email chains, and manual file storage to manage all staff-related tasks. This created consistent problems such as fragmented employee records, lost or misplaced personnel documents, unstructured and inconsistent new hire onboarding, messy time-off request tracking, and repetitive manual administrative work that wasted hours each week. We also faced challenges with poor visibility into staff leave balances, unstandardized approval workflows, and difficulties maintaining basic internal policy compliance with our library’s staffing rules. HRSprout directly resolves all these issues by fully centralizing our entire HR operation into one unified digital platform. It replaces our chaotic spreadsheets, paper files, and disjointed email communication with a single secure system for storing all employee records, streamlining leave management, and formalizing every step of the onboarding process. The platform eliminates unorganized record-keeping by consolidating personnel profiles, certifications, and employment documents in one easily searchable location, so we no longer waste time digging through folders or sorting through outdated spreadsheets. It also standardizes our onboarding workflows completely, ensuring every new library staff member follows the same structured process without relying on informal checklists or inconsistent email instructions. Beyond organization, HRSprout automates a large portion of routine manual HR tasks, including leave request routing, approval reminders, and onboarding task follow-ups. This drastically cuts down my daily administrative workload and frees up valuable time to focus on supporting staff and improving library operations instead of repetitive paperwork. It also brings much-needed clarity and reliability to leave scheduling and staffing planning, helping us maintain proper community library coverage and avoid understaffing during peak service hours. Additionally, by keeping all HR processes structured and documented in one system, HRSprout helps our team stay aligned with internal policies and basic labor compliance standards, reducing human error and ensuring consistent, professional HR practices across our entire organization.

I use HRSprout as an all-in-one HR management system that centralizes HR activities and automates tasks like onboarding workflows and document management. The simplicity and all-in-one approach stand out the most, making it very convenient to manage daily operations. **What do you like best about HRSprout?**

To me, HRSprout's User Interface is both simple and effective. The implementation of this system has streamlined our employee on-boarding and relieving processes. The Employee Directory feature has been especially useful, allowing easy access to all employee documents, particularly for part-time staff. I greatly appreciate HRSprout's ability to track employee attendance using Face Recognition or by integrating the Clockly app for remote employees. Furthermore, I want to emphasize that the support team of 500apps is fantastic, and Drake has assisted us on many occasions when we faced obstacles or required future enhancements.

**What do you dislike about HRSprout?**

Could a dashboard be developed to oversee the allocation of assets among employees?

From my perspective, the experience has been positive. HRSprout has allowed me to work more efficiently and effectively by eliminating the need to search for employees.

**What do you like best about HRSprout?**

The User Interface is uncomplicated while still providing all the functionality required. With HRSprout, employee onboarding have gotten simpler. The Personnel Directory's straightforward organisation of all relevant employee documentation is beneficial for part-time workers. The response time of HRSprout was lightning fast, and the software could handle the strain of processing several queries simultaneously. For me, one of the most valuable features of HRSprout is its ability to monitor staff attendance via Face Recognition or by connecting the Clockly app (for employees who work from home).

**What do you dislike about HRSprout?**

My only concern is that we should be informed through email whenever a team member requests a day off but fails to bring it to our attention. In this scenario, we should not be required to check HRSprout manually.

**What problems is HRSprout solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HRSprout has all the features and functionalities that HR professionals and administrative staff need, making it a fantastic tool for everyone involved in the company. HRSprout performs a good job with one of the most important jobs every month: keeping an accurate attendance record. It's designed with the user in mind, with straightforward menus and controls. The fact that they also have a smartphone app to use for location-based attendance tracking is very remarkable.

Over all I like all the futures in HRSprout but what I like the most is that you can easily manage your employee time and attendance by a web-based platform.
