**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

It can be a little disruptive with some emails because I needed to take my time to check if it was a test or if it was something real or if it was something really from my company

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is solving the lack of information and real examples of dangerous emails that can reach my inbox, by giving real examples and putting me through the test I get a better understanding of what I should be aware of in the emails that reach my inbox

  ### 2. Easily accessible without the fear of my personal information being leaked and taken

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

What I like most about Hoxhunt is how it makes security awareness training actually engaging. The simulations feel realistic, and it trains you to spot threats without feeling like a chore. It’s a smart way to build good habits across a team.

One thing I dislike about Hoxhunt is that the frequent simulations can sometimes feel a bit repetitive, especially for users who are already security-conscious. It can also be a bit disruptive during busy times, depending on how the training is scheduled.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is solving the problem of people being the weakest link in cybersecurity. It helps train you to spot phishing and other threats by giving you real examples on a regular basis. For me, it’s been a great way to build those skills little by little every day, and over time, I’ve noticed I’m quicker and more confident at catching suspicious emails. It’s a simple but effective way to stay sharp.

**Reviewed Date:** July 31, 2025

**Reviewed by:** Zinnaira M. | CSR, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt makes training fun. It's helpful by providing popup explaining what to look for regarding spam and phishing instances. The shield levels help you keep track against your colleges! It even tracks your personal progress regarding the spam emails you've caught and ones you didn't! It's easy to use and to report the spam trainings. We got 1-2 a week training sent by our company. It blended seamlessly into our email system. I haven't had to contact the customer support yet, but I'm sure they'll be wonderful!

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The only thing I dislike about Hoxhunt is when you miss a training or simulation there's no notification until you check on your personal progress page.

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The fun achievements and incentives, as well as the functionality of the product ,we are much more careful about phishing and scams. It is easy to use as it is automatically set up by IT.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some of the emails are too easy to spot, they are similar in the fact that they don't try different scams

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving our ability to spot and deal with scams and phishing attempts.

  ### 13. Gamification Makes Tedious Tasks Fun and Engaging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the gamification of something that would be rather tedious. Also, thanks to that, it's keeping me on my toes...

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I think the leaderboard could be improved. Would be nice to be able to add colleagues, for instance, or be able to navigate in the pages for all boards, not only "all countries".

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to spot security breach that can be caused by phishing mails.

  ### 14. Hoxhunt: A useful tool for malicious email training

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James T. | Project Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

1. The friendly competition aspect of the malicious email training kept me engaged.
2. The test emails were tricky and creative. They were relevant to the lessons taught and made me think twice about clicking on them.
3. The program was not overwhelming. I would receive the test emails randomly every few weeks, so it didn't take up too much of my time and I never knew when to expect it.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

1. I was unable to access the leaderboard and training sessions without receiving another test spam email.
2. The only option in my email application for hoxhunt is to "Report this email". I wish there were other options to scan the emails for malware/malicious links before reporting them.
3. The leaderboard for the competition was based on accuracy of reporting and reporting speed. There were several times where I would be deeply involved in work and wouldn't check my emails for a few hours. I don't think my score should be penalized for not reporting quickly.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt was implemented in my company's email software to train us about the different forms of malicious emails and the dangers associated with them. The lessons were very informative and the malicious test emails quizzed us on the lessons taught. These emails were well crafted and made me think twice about clicking on links which could have given hackers access to my information.

  ### 16. Perfect Tool for Spotting Spam and Legitimate Emails

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Israel A. | Data Center Technician II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

This tool really pushes you to distinguish between spam and legitimate emails.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Nothing, it's perfect, also comes up surprisingly random.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I have no downsides about Hoxhunt. It is a very informative and enlightenment tool

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mail and data protection

  ### 18. Learn cyber security with HoxHunt

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro B. | Team Leader, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The good thing about HoxHunt is that you receive a weekly phishing email to test your awareness of cyber security. Some emails are easy to spot as fraudulent, but others are very well done and look legitimate, so it can be challenging to tell if they are real or part of the test. Once you have spotted the fraudulent email, you will receive a short explanation of the different phishing techniques used.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Once you are on the dashboard, there isn't much you can do except look at your achievements and activities. I would like to have the opportunity to take more tests on my own in order to learn more about cyber security and, in the meantime, earn more stars on the platform.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

More awareness about suspicious emails.

  ### 19. Engaging Phishing Training with Realistic Scenarios and Fun Gamification

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The phishing emails are realistic and modified to fit our organisation. After every succesfully identified phising email there is a micro learning, which is informative and but does not take up too much time. Gamifying the reporting of phishing emails through a leaderboard makes it fun.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I had some difficulties opening the application the first time.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The platform helps make employees more aware of phishing emails and keeps us informed about other cybersecurity issues through microlearning. This benefits me because both my colleagues and I are now better equipped and trained to identify phishing attempts, making us less likely to become victims.

  ### 20. ngaging, Educational, and Effective Cybersecurity Awareness Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Automotive | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

What I like best about Hoxhunt is how it turns cybersecurity training into something interactive and fun, rather than just another task. The simulated phishing emails are realistic and cleverly designed, which makes me more alert and better prepared for real-world threats. I also appreciate the immediate feedback after each challenge—it helps reinforce the learning in a clear and practical way. Overall, Hoxhunt has significantly improved my awareness and confidence when dealing with suspicious emails.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the training emails can feel a bit too frequent or repetitive, especially during busy work periods.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is solving the problem of employee vulnerability to phishing attacks—a major security risk for any organization. By consistently training and testing users in real-life scenarios, it’s helping build muscle memory for spotting suspicious emails. This not only reduces the likelihood of falling for actual phishing attempts but also creates a more security-aware workplace overall. Personally, I feel more confident in identifying and reporting threats, which benefits both me and the organization.

  ### 21. Useful to prevent the human risk

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Fully integrated with outlook plugin with easy usage comprehension with a lot of contents.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I often forget to set the vacation mode in Hoxhunt on top of the Outlook OutOfOffice, it would be nice to detect it automatically from this OOO setting.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a technical person, I'm already trained to recognize threats. This also means I'm fully aware that what ever security solutions are put in place, in the end a single human can break it down. The Hoxhunt solutions is training people effectively to acknowledged that when receiving a message, you should not blindly trust all the antivirus/... softwares. In this sense, it benefits me to improve my own awareness that it's a constant threat (phishing, scam, ...) and stay alert, plus knowning that people in the company I'm working in are more and more aware of this in order to reduce the risk of breach is a great achievement too.

  ### 22. Quick, Thought-Provoking Way to Spot Real vs. Fake Emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I'm not very concerned about earning points

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping me be aware of emails that may not be genuine

  ### 23. Micro-Learning Format Eases Training While Gamification Boosts Awareness

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Imran K. | Revenue Enablement Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The micro-learning aspect - it prompts you to complete small, manageable tasks and these are spaced out. It also genuinely causes me to think about phishing. The gamification element is nice too as it encourages me to complete more and that helps with awareness

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

It can be frustrating if I miss an email due to being busy or out on leave as I can miss out on points

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reduces phishing link clicks and that helps all of us as we reduce our risk profile and keep our company brand and data safe.

  ### 24. Admin

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paige C. | Commercial Admin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

It makes tech training fun. We all talk about it in the office and laugh at some of the easy Hoxhunts that come through. Even the hard ones make us laugh sometimes because they almost get us.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I honestly do not dislike anything about Hoxhunt. I dont like how sneaky some of the emails are but thats the point. Hoxhunt not only helps protect me at work but also helps protect me at home with my personal email.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is helping people not only protect the company from hacks due to scam emails but also helps everyone using it protect themselves from any scam emails. I wish there was a way to have my grandparents do Hoxhunts, imagine helping seniors be able to spot scams from a mile away.

  ### 25. Seamless Security Thinking, No Downsides

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Warehousing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Seamless security thinking. Keep's you on your toes.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

No downsides. It's doing what it is supposed to do.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improving security thinking and giving food for thought.

  ### 26. The idea is good, execution can be better.

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

It protects the user base from phishing emails and send out almost real life scenario's. The report button directly in outlook makes a bit easier to report emails. The concepts used are refined over time.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Some of the concepts are too obvious, and can be detected too easily.
Reporting can only be done after opening an email. Which sometimes defeats the purpose.
Automatic scanning of all emails could be a nice addon.
The popup is sometimes very slow to open.
You get points subtracted for "missed" emails that already ended up in spam or directly in deleted items because of custom rules. The fact I didn't open and click the email should already be good enough.
Sometimes emails are received over your holiday period, you can set this up manually in hoxhunt, however automatic syncing from your calendar, now you need to remember to also fill it in after requesting holiday.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being made more aware about phishing emails, with real life scenario's

  ### 27. Hoxhunt : Fun and Interactive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjali B. | Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The interface is both engaging and interactive, making the experience quite enjoyable.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

After a while, the phishing emails start to appear repetitive and predictable.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is helping us strengthen our security by raising awareness about phishing emails through engaging and enjoyable training.

  ### 28. Engaging Gamification and Leaderboards Make Phishing Simulations Fun

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Utilities | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The gamification along with leaderboard of the phishing simulations is very encouraging

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

We only encounter phishing simulations currently. Additional threat simulations could be included to cover wider range of possible threats.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The routine Phishing simulations serves as a good mental exercise. I am more alert now when there are emails with strange subject lines, contents or links. I am more confident of being able to identify phishing emails from genuine ones.

  ### 29. Hoxhunt is the way every company should train employees against phishing campaigns.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Overall, I'm genuinely impressed by how well-designed the product is. The simulated emails are highly realistic and challenging, especially for someone overwhelmed with daily tasks, making it easy to get caught off guard. What’s particularly valuable is the quick summary and quiz after each simulation, allowing you to test your knowledge. The ranking system also adds a layer of engagement that keeps you motivated to participate.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

It's hard to find where to set your days off so that you don't receive any simulations during that time. It's quite important that this is easy to locate, missing it could cost you your spot in the ranking.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps build real phishing awareness through realistic simulations and instant feedback. It keeps me alert even during busy days, and the quizzes plus ranking system make the training engaging and effective.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

This tool offers a fun yet effective approach to helping employees recognize spam and phishing attempts, seamlessly blending into their everyday work routines.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

At times, the wording used when you miss a test email can feel somewhat shaming.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps train employees to recognize phishing attempts, which leads to fewer clicks on phishing emails. The platform integrates smoothly with employees' inboxes, sending simulated phishing emails and providing training based on whether the employee correctly identifies or misses these attempts.

  ### 38. A GREAT SOFTWARE TO TRAIN YOUR ANTI-FRAUD SKILLS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Miguel A. | Suscriptor de riesgos, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The variety of simulations and tests they send are great. With different examples that push your ability to detect these types of situations to the limit.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes there are too many emails in a week

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nowadays, email scams and identity theft are very widespread both in the workplace and personal spheres. Hoxhunt helps you detect these cases.

  ### 39. I use it for my work email to report anything that seems suspicious. It has worked really great.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Teisha G. | Para Educator III, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like that when you report something they go through tips and also you earn achievements for reporting.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

It has been really easy to use so I can't think of anything other than making a button directly in the mail where you can click to report so you don't have to click a few buttons to get there to report it.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making it easier to recognize scams or phishing attempts. Which in turns helps by not clicking on any links that would harm my school computer.

  ### 40. Progressively Harder

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa H. | Associate 1, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I really like how Hoxhunt provides instant feedback when reporting a phishing simulation. While the ease of use and implementation is the same as I had experienced at a previous company, I never had any instant verification that I correctly identified a phishing simulation. Previous phishing simulations that I had received only ever gave an update the following month to tell you that it was a simulation that was sent to all employees.
It is also nice that each simulation varies from person to person and that they monitor your email habits to tailor the "attacks" for each individual. For example, I was sent an email with a subject of "Your password is expiring in 2 days," and I chronically put off emails like that, leaving them unread, until I am forced to change my password. Had I opened the email right away, I would have realized it was phishing right away like I did a week later after wondering why I hadn't been forced to change my password yet.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I wish the scoring/ranking was more precise to add to the competition even more. Either everyone with 100% is shown ranked as 1st place or adjust the scoring of the phishing so it's harder to maintain a score of 100% so there aren't hundreds of people ranked as #1.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is helping me realize how sophisticated phishing attempts can be and helping me appreciate the steps my company takes to protect us from threatening emails. The attacks they send me also help with monitoring my personal email to ensure that I don't fall for any phishing attempts on my personal accounts as phishing attacks are becoming more and more believable and my accounts don't have the type of protection that my work account provides.

  ### 41. Great Way to Learn About Potentially Harmful Emails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I liked that it was set up in a game format. You received points for reporting emails. After you reported an email correctly, it would explain to you the important things to look for such as a email address that may have 1 or 2 characters switched (Ex. @gmial.com). The "i" and "a" make Gmail misspelled and it is liked to be spam.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the emails would overcrowd my inbox. When I would have a busy day, it would just be another distraction. Nothing major to change.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping protect employees from harmful emails. It shows you what to look for, and not to click on links without looking at the email address and other features. It is also easy to use since there is an icon to report spam and dangerous mail in the upper right corner of my inbox.

  ### 42. Best Software to Repost Phishing/Spam Mails

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Deva M. | Data Analyst II, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt keeps track of how many mails we reported till date and give us a Shield according to it. Experience feels like you are playing a puzzle game.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Hard to find out your same company friends in the leaderboard. Maybe Hoxhunt can add a dashboard for friends or same team employees.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It keeps every employee to upto date with reporting various phishing mails. Also it is a critical part of yearly security compliance.

  ### 43. Hoxhunt’s Regular Simulations Keep Us Alert

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt provide regular simulations to keep us on alert

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jason T. | Head of Indutrial Vacuums, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Quick and easy to do, doesnt get in the way of a work day but teaches you a lot

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Can be repetitive in a way, however that is due to the nature of the system and isnt Hoxhunts fault or issue

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the business I work in, it is ensuring that myself and my peers are not getting caught out by malware and other malicious emails

  ### 45. Hoxhunt Makes Cybersecurity Training Surprisingly Fun

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food Production | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Fun and Engaging: The gamified approach actually makes learning about phishing enjoyable.

Realistic Scenarios: The email simulations feel just like the real thing—great for staying sharp.

Tailored Experience: It adjusts to how you're doing, so it never feels too easy or too hard.

Quick Feedback: You get instant tips after each simulation, which helps a lot.

User-Friendly: Clean layout and easy to navigate, even for less tech-savvy folks.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Can Get Repetitive: Some simulations start to feel similar after a while.

Internet Required: No offline mode, so it’s not ideal if your connection isn’t reliable.

Might Feel Like a Pop Quiz: The surprise emails can be stressful for some people.

Not Always Industry-Specific: Some examples might not fully match your line of work.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Even with strong firewalls and antivirus software, one careless click on a phishing email can compromise an entire system. Hoxhunt addresses this by training employees to recognize and avoid phishing attempts through realistic simulations and bite-sized lessons.

  ### 46. Best Cybersecurity Training Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Riya A. | Junior Accountant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the user interface of Hoxhunt and I love the way it explains the phishing scams. It explains in great details how to identify them and protect yourself. It also has a success percentage scoring which makes it quite catchy. You would want to maintain a good score. Hence it hooks on to you. The training doesn't feel boring.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes it could scare you. You could have a mini panic attack while you're focused on work. It could be a little distracting sometimes.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt helps me identify different types of phising scams. There are some that we are all aware of, and some that are new. Hoxhunt helps us keep learning new scams. It not just explains them but gives us an example of it. It also shows us if we would fall for such a scam or no.
This helps us have a deeper understanding of scams that we are susceptible to or could fall prey to.

It only takes a few seconds, and then I'm taken to my profile page in Hoxhunt, where I can view my progress and stats.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is great, and so far, have not found any flaws or errors.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is teaching us the signs to look out for, so that we do not fall prey to harmful phishing tactics, and giving us a way to limit the spam emails that come to us on a daily basis. The Hoxhunt training is furthering my cybersecurity knowledge.

It is helping me be more diligent about checking my emails.

  ### 50. Effortless Security and Threat Awareness Made Simple
