  ### 2. Intuitive and Engaging Phishing Simulation Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sahit .

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I appreciate Hoxhunt's intuitive user interface and its seamless integration with Outlook, particularly its placement in the right corner, making it incredibly easy to interact with and click on. The way it facilitates the reporting of suspicious emails is both practical and beneficial in a professional setting. I find the phishing simulation feature extremely valuable as it educates and informs users about how phishing and scam spam emails are constructed and delivered to professionals. Additionally, the rewarding system, which includes stars and badges for successfully engaging with the software and completing missions, is motivational and makes me feel acknowledged and useful.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find it challenging to differentiate between training and real spam emails using Hoxhunt. The fact that I can easily report any email, believing it to be a training exercise, can sometimes be misleading. This is problematic when the email turns out to be a real threat, as there seems to be no effective mechanism to distinguish between actual spam and training simulations. This makes it necessary for Hoxhunt to implement a more accurate system to help users identify and report real spam emails distinctly from training emails.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to report suspicious emails and benefit from its simulations, which educate me on phishing and spam emails, enhancing my email security awareness.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt tests my ability to recognize phishing emails, enhancing our cybersecurity awareness.

I like the gamification of tasks with Hoxhunt, as it turns what could be a boring activity into something fun. The real-life simulation of receiving emails in my inbox makes the training relevant and keeps me on the lookout for potential scams. I find activities are very quick yet effective, which means they're not time-consuming but still do the job well. It's fun to try and spot fake emails, earn awards, and compete with colleagues, which adds an engaging element to the experience. Overall, I find Hoxhunt to be very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Nothing

  ### 31. Fun, Gamified Phishing Training That Keeps Employees Engaged

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natasha F. | Producer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is a fun and gamified way to train employees to identify phishing emails. I actually get excited to receive the training emails, unlock new badges, and follow the ranking.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The downside is the frequency — there are only a few emails per year.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps you put into practice how to identify and report phishing emails in a light and very engaging way. Before, I used to feel unsure about what was actually phishing, but now I can spot it immediately just by opening an email.

  ### 32. Engaging Cybersecurity Awareness Tool That Actually Works

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dinesh M. | Software Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt turns security awareness into a gamified experience that keeps users engaged. The phishing simulations are smartly crafted and regularly updated, making each scenario feel realistic and relevant. I also appreciate the immediate feedback and points-based system—it creates a sense of progress and encourages participation without feeling like a burden.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

While the experience is largely positive, I wish the platform offered more flexibility in customizing training paths or tailoring simulations based on role or department. Also, the dashboard UI could be more intuitive when trying to track long-term progress. Occasionally, email simulations feel repetitive if used too frequently without variation.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is addressing the critical issue of human error in cybersecurity by training employees to recognize and report phishing attempts. It creates a culture of awareness and accountability through engaging, real-world simulations. As a result, I’ve become significantly more alert to suspicious emails, and our organization has seen a notable improvement in reporting actual threats early—before they become incidents.

  ### 33. Engaging Training Platform with Room for Realism

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jad J. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 24, 2026

I like that I have a progress line and I collect stars and compete with my colleagues and collect badges. I want to collect every single star, keep the streak of no mistakes, and simply want to be the best.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The emails I receive are so obvious that they are phishing, it can be improved by providing more realistic emails.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt trains us to be more aware of phishing emails. I like the progress line, collecting stars, and competing with colleagues, which motivate me to avoid mistakes.

  ### 34. Engaging Security Training with Real-Life Examples

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evaldas M. | Product Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like Hoxhunt for its UI and the fun way of presenting different types of content. The content is very clear and easy to understand, especially with the real life examples.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Even though I have completed all given challenges and have a 100% score, my colleague with fewer completed challenges but the same 100% score is ahead of me. This part is unclear.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt keeps me alert to scamming tactics, boosts my attention to email communications, and offers easy-to-understand content with real-life examples.

  ### 35. An excellent simulation tool for phishing prevention

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Motion Pictures and Film | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like the fact that it's difficult to distinguish the simulation from reality.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

There is none.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Through Hoxhunt, I received training on dangerous email vigilance through phishing simulations, became cautious of emails from unknown senders, and stopped opening emails containing suspicious links.

  ### 36. Hoxhunt is fun, useful, and engaging

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clayton S. | Senior Quality Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt has been great for our organization. It is super easy to implement and very clear for our employees to learn about phishing. The puzzles are frequent enough to keep employees engaged and aware while simultaneously not interrupting day-to-day operations. The quizzes and lessons are great for our employees and definitely help us understand how phishing works.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I don't really have many downsides. The software is intuitive and easy to use. One minor issue is the trainings go at Hoxhunt's pace, meaning employees may be missing crucial details about phishing attempts until they come across their inbox from Hoxhunt. A larger training library would fix this.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Phishing emails are an ever present risk to large corporations. As an employee, it is my duty to not click phishing links or accidentally give away crucial information. Hoxhunt teaches me about ALL the different types of phishing attempts and strengthens my awareness as an employee about finding and identifying these attempts at company data.

  ### 37. Hoxhunt:Between the Inbox & the Trap

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Training is fun & engaging, thanks to gamification like badges & leaderboards.
Simulated phishing emails feel real, which helps people get better at spotting threats.
Very user-friendly interface and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The frequency of test emails / simulations can feel overwhelming or disruptive.
Some content may feel too basic for users with prior cybersecurity knowledge.
Occasionally the tracking / reporting (like time taken to report) seems unfair if someone is busy.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Fewer security incidents because employees are better at spotting phishing.
Increased reporting of suspicious or malicious emails: more visibility and early detection.
More user engagement & participation in training — less resistance, better learning.
Saves time & effort for security teams (automated simulations, scalable interventions).
You get real evidence of improvement (drop in click rates, rise in reporting) to show return on investment / justify the program.

  ### 38. Leaderboards and Achievements Well Received but Time Off Policy Viewed as Inadequate

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krzysztof D. | Software Development Engineer in Test, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The overall impression is positive. Hoxhunt emails seem to be truly on par with legitimate phishing emails.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

While hoxhunt offers an extremely engaging approach to cybersecurity training, one area that could be improved is the frequency of phishing simulations. At times, these simulations can feel a bit repetitive over a short period of time, which may reduce their impact for users like me. Also setting time off in the application is limited and can be insufficient to cover whole time paid off in the company.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt addresses cybersecurity threats, particularly phishing and social engineering attacks, by training employees to recognize and report suspicious emails. This benefits users by improving their ability to identify threats, increasing their confidence in responding to actual attacks, and reducing the risk of becoming a phishing victim. Furthermore, it helps organizations build a culture of security awareness and strengthen their overall cybersecurity posture.

Hoxhunt makes me more vigilant when reviewing emails.

  ### 40. Realistic Threat Simulations Keep Us Sharp

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I appreciate how their emails and scam attempts mirror the latest threat trends, such as signUp. Most of these attempts look quite realistic, although they are not convincing enough to fool me.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

At times, it takes longer to load, and I have to refresh the page in order to report a phishing email.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Employee cyber threat awareness is essential for maintaining a secure workplace. Ensuring that staff are informed about potential online risks helps protect the organization from cyber attacks and data breaches.

  ### 41. Informative & Helpful Product Every Company Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adrienne S. | Executive Assistant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

The clear and concise graphics and process that help me learn how and what to watch out for in suspicious emails. It's a challenging process that rewards you when you do well and explains where you went wrong when you are tripped up. There is an in-depth, easy to understand explanation step by step consistently telling you what to be aware of.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Well, I'd have to say the thing I disliked most was getting tripped up by Hoxhunt because I wasn't paying attention to the content of an email. Other than that I see no downsides to it.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keller is an international company and we are constantly bombarded with phishing and sometimes suspicious emails, probably more than I even realize. Hoxhunt is giving us real examples of suspicious emails and testing our skills at evaluating and reporting them when needed. It has definitely increased my awareness of the ways hackers try to get information or possibly send viruses, etc. into our company system. Now that I am educated and much more aware I hope that keeps my computer and the rest of the company's system clean and problem free while also keeping our information private as it should be.
