**Reviewed Date:** February 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I like Hoxhunt's approach of making security awareness a game and a competition between employees. It drives conversation and friendly competition, keeping everyone engaged in the process and encouraging them to look for opportunities to score points. The automation of testing employees for their susceptibility to scams or phishing attacks is also valuable. Plus, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The simulated emails are formulaic and could be more unique. It would be good to see more diverse topics covered, with less emails spoofing a legit email address.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt keeps us alert to email security threats by automating tests on our vulnerability to scams and phishing attacks.

  ### 2. Hoxhunt Keeps Us Alert with Timely Phishing and Scam Awareness

Hoxhunt reminds of the phishing attempts. It also teach about new scam and phishing actions

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

To identify scams and protect our business from evil

I use Hoxhunt for work, and I appreciate how it feels like a game, which makes cybersecurity more fun and prevents it from becoming a mandatory, boring task. I also like the good explanation provided for each phishing attack, as it enhances my understanding. The initial setup of Hoxhunt was extremely easy, which is another positive aspect for me.

It would be nice with the opportunity for more stars with "bootcamps" learning more.

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is quite helpful for identifying phishing and spam emails. The app’s game-like interface makes the experience engaging, and the training simulations for phishing emails, complete with a scoring system, add an element of fun. Additionally, its user-friendly design encourages regular use and keeps me motivated to continue using the application.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

The simulation can feel repetitive at times, as the emails are often straightforward and easy to spot. I suggest Increasing the level of difficulty would make the simulation more challenging and engaging.

I find Hoxhunt incredibly helpful for cyber security purposes. The platform provides interactive games that I particularly enjoy and find valuable. This interactive element not only enhances my understanding but also keeps the learning process engaging. Overall, I am very satisfied with what Hoxhunt offers and am pleased with all its features, especially the interactive games. Additionally, the initial setup of Hoxhunt was very easy, and this simplicity adds to my overall positive experience with the product. **Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bruno M.

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I love the Hoxhunt interface for being very educational and attractive, with a design that resembles a video game, which makes the user experience more interesting. Although its style is a bit childish, what I value most is how easy and understandable it is to use. I don't need to click on many points to learn more about the page, as it explains itself. This allows for intuitive and efficient navigation, facilitating the learning and use of the platform.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I feel that the experience with Hoxhunt is good, but I feel that it is very simple. Despite being interactive and appealing, I feel that they don't really exploit their potential. They could add more elements to be more attractive, since once I have gotten used to the interface, I don't find much more to do.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to identify malicious emails that could compromise my company's security, better understanding virtual threats through emails.

The gamified aspect of the training is something I particularly enjoy, although missing out on points can be frustrating, it adds a competitive edge that motivates me to improve my skills. Even when emails got caught in the spam filter, reviewing missed training emails made it easier for me to identify such issues, which is beneficial for my recognition and understanding of security threats.

Overall, the ease of use stands out, making it straightforward and rewarding to keep my email safe.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find the follow-up email process for phishing reports a bit inconvenient. Currently, after reporting a phishing email, I receive a follow-up email asking for more details, which can be cumbersome. I think it would be more efficient if this step could be streamlined into an immediate popup form that allows me to provide the necessary information quickly.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to easily report phishing and suspicious emails with a single button, enhancing security. The gamified system and leaderboard make email vigilance rewarding, encouraging me to actively engage in safety practices.

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

I really appreciate that Hoxhunt requires virtually no effort on my end. I enjoy the ability to learn about cybersecurity threats without having to put in any significant effort. The simulated threat emails arrive automatically, providing a seamless and engaging way to stay informed about potential dangers. I receive these emails, which mimic real cyber threats, and they keep me alert. After interacting with these emails, the educational aspect of Hoxhunt kicks in, teaching me the different tactics that cyber attackers employ. The automatic nature of this learning process is fantastic; everything happens without me needing to actively engage, ensuring that I’m continuously updated on the latest in cybersecurity tactics. This process is not only informative but also happens automatically, allowing me to learn passively while staying on top of potential threats.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

I find that the threat emails from Hoxhunt are occasionally too generic and would benefit from being more tailored to feel more realistic. Additionally, I'm concerned that these simulated threats only come via email, while cyber attackers are known to use a variety of channels, such as WhatsApp, Teams, and others. Incorporating multiple channels would provide a more comprehensive simulation of potential attack vectors.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hoxhunt to stay alert on cybersecurity threats, learning about threats via email with no effort, as it provides educational insights on different attacker styles.

The platform regularly sends out phishing exercises, which can be reported with just one click. After reporting, it instantly lets you know whether its a potential threat/spam or simply an exercise. I also appreciate the star system they use to display how many phishing attempts we have reported.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

At times, I find that the exercises are a bit too easy to spot but sometimes they are well done and include similar emails as my colleagues which makes it interesting

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Furthermore, the setup was seamless with SSO, making it easy to get started without any hiccups. Overall, these aspects collectively contribute to a pleasant and enriching training experience, underscoring the platform's educational efficacy and ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the games in Hoxhunt are a bit clunky, which hinders my engagement and enjoyment. Additionally, the 'Phish-a-friend' feature took over a week to receive more phishing examples to send out, and unfortunately, the event ended early. This delay in availability disrupted the intended flow and timing of participation.

Many people don't know much about security threats, and threat agents, and these people really prove to be the weakest link when it comes to security.
Others are aware of these threats, but only about the "general" ones. These people miss to be informed about newer version threats, and even they could fall victim to these attacks.

Hoxhunt stands out as an excellent learning platform for cybersecurity training, offering employees a wide range of realistic edge case simulations. Its impressive use of gamification also helps to motivate and increase participation among users.

  ### 40. Great Experience from Start to Finish

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

Hoxhunt is a training platform for phishing awareness. They send out mock phishing emails to end users and expect them to report them, if the user clicks the link they get redirected to a training session. The amount of these emails is not overwhelming (no more than a few per month), and they vary quite a lot. Sometimes they use information about employee to make a targeted phishing email. They also gamify progress through achievements and comparing statistics against other regions. It's very easy to use even for non technical users, and the training sessions are brief and explain the cybersecurity concepts pretty well. I consider myself to be quite aware of the common phishing tactics, and yet they've managed to catch me once or twice in a year, well done.

**What do you dislike about Hoxhunt?**

Sometimes the phishing emails are quite obvious (although I might be biased). User interface usually works well, but it occasionally lags or crashes.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Explains and educates users how to deal with the most common security risk in organisations - phishing.

I also appreciate how the initial setup of Hoxhunt was straightforward and quick, taking only a few hours to be up and running. Overall, Hoxhunt has effectively contributed to raising phishing awareness and provided invaluable training through its simulations.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Hoxhunt?**

When my company first implemented Hoxhunt we were briefed, so we aware that we would receive fake emails beforehand. That being said, the integration was a smooth process. What I find helpful about Hoxhunt is the different forms of fake emails they send out and that it goes into detail on how to identify them and what to really pay attention to. It helps condition you to pay close attention to the emails that you receive, including ones that look like they are from people you know or companies may know. It really helps raise your awareness inside and out of the workplace. It's easy to use. The frequency of emails received isn't too much or overbearing.

**What problems is Hoxhunt solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hoxhunt is bringing awareness to the type of fake/phishing emails that could slip thru the cracks. Making people pay closer attention to the emails they receive and the details that generally go unnoticed. For example: using a coworkers name as the sender with an important looking attachment to click, expressing the importance of it. If you are not conditioned to look for slightly different email addresses and click on that attachment, you could unknowingly open the door for some bad actor to steal your or your companies information or activate a virus or malware planted inside the attachment. This really helps raise awareness that people need to protect themselves in the computer world.
