Who is Hosting.com pricing best suited for?

A2 Hosting's pricing is best suited for small businesses and freelance web developers managing multiple client sites, the dominant reviewer segment on G2. G2 reviewers from marketing, IT services, design, and e-learning industries appear most frequently and report strong satisfaction with reseller and shared hosting plans. Developers value SSH access, private Git repos, and multi-PHP support available even on base plans. Budget-conscious beginners benefit from intro pricing and simple WordPress setup, though G2 reviewers warn renewal costs can strain tight budgets. Mid-market and enterprise reviewers are present but sparse, suggesting A2 Hosting's pricing structure is optimized for small-scale, multi-site operators rather than large organizations.

What are the key differences between the free and paid versions of Hosting.com?

A2 Hosting offers no free tier. G2 pricing data for A2 Hosting shows the entry-level shared hosting plan as the starting point, with higher-tier plans such as Turbo unlocking meaningfully better performance. G2 reviewers consistently note that automatic backups, Turbo server access, and advanced performance features are restricted to higher-tier A2 Hosting plans. Basic plans still include free SSL via Let's Encrypt, one-click CMS installs, and cPanel access. Reviewers on entry-level plans flag speed and backup limitations as the primary drivers for upgrading. A2 Hosting's anytime money-back guarantee functions as a low-risk evaluation option in lieu of a free trial.

Is Hosting.com considered good value for its pricing?

G2 reviewers of A2 Hosting consistently describe a high-rating, premium-cost dynamic: strong performance and support justify the price for most, but renewal pricing is a recurring pain point. Across dozens of G2 reviews, users praise Turbo server speed, 24/7 Guru Crew support, and reliable uptime, yet nearly every critical review flags steep renewal rates versus discounted intro pricing. Reviewers who switched from GoDaddy, HostGator, and Bluehost report clear performance gains. One G2 reviewer cut monthly hosting costs over 80% switching to A2 Hosting. The consensus: strong value at intro rates, less so at renewal, especially for budget-constrained small businesses.

What do you like best about Hosting.com?

What I appreciate most about A2 Hosting is its outstanding speed and performance. Their servers utilize NVMe SSD storage and LiteSpeed technology, along with a network of global data centers, which ensures that websites load extremely quickly. The uptime reliability is also noteworthy, and the customer support team, known as the Guru Crew, is both responsive and knowledgeable, providing assistance around the clock via chat or ticket. Furthermore, their hosting plans cater well to developers, offering flexibility with features such as SSH access, staging environments, and support for multiple PHP versions. In summary, A2 Hosting distinguishes itself with its combination of speed, reliability, and attentive customer service. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hosting.com?

One aspect I find disappointing about A2 Hosting is the significant increase in renewal prices compared to the initial promotional rates, which may catch new users off guard. Furthermore, advanced performance features such as Turbo servers and automatic backups are restricted to higher-tier plans, making the basic options less appealing for websites with greater demands. I also feel that the dashboard's user interface could be more intuitive and up-to-date. Although the performance and support are impressive, the overall pricing structure and frequent upsells can be frustrating, especially for users who are mindful of their budget. "Faster Load Times and Easy Onboarding, but Price Hikes at Renewal"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Hosting.com?

We originally switched to A2 Hosting because we needed faster hosting to improve page load times. It made a big difference for the page load time, which was great!

A2 also made the onboarding and the whole getting-started process very simple. Also, at the beginning, the price was great! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Hosting.com?

I was disappointed that they raised their prices significantly when it came time to renew my agreement.

They have also recently changed some of their IP addresses and name servers, which caused a few issues but were easily resolved when I contacted support and made a few changes in Cloudflare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
