Their cost is lower than some of their competition, but still on the higher end. However their data visualization tools for social listening are compelling and help to cull insights from the data sets being analyzed. For example, their word clouds and topic clusters help to explore large date ranges after building your queries, and can take you from topic to topic and theme to theme, which not only helps with exploring and navigating the often-large amounts of mentions but also greatly assists in analyzing these fields and developing essential insights. **What do you dislike about Hexagon?** I feel like Crimson Hexagon is still a bit clunky and sometimes difficult to navigate in terms of the tools and overall platform. The user experience can, as a result, feel a bit frustrating to produce the results you're looking for and lacks the clean UI and intuitiveness that other similar platforms offer. I also feel like their customer service - or rather on-call support and accessibility lags behind some of their competitors. Finally, while it is by no means the most expensive, their pricing structure is on the higher end. **What problems is Hexagon solving and how is that benefiting you?** I used Crimson Hexagon primarily for its social listening offerings while working as a digital and social media strategist at an ad agency. We were challenged with developing strategies that required a multitude of user research and insights, and Hexagon allowed us to comb over up to a year of social mentions across various platforms, forums and social networks to produce a wealth of data outputs to further analyze, both through our own external tools as well as via their built in dashboard and its features. ### 6. Integration : In Detail Engineering Projects, There is lot of data which needs to be transferred to Other Project Teams, Like Process Data from Process Team to Instrumentation Team, Valve Dimension Data from Instrumentation Team to 3D Model Designing Team, Motor Signals & Load data from Electrical to Instrumentation Teams etc. Hexagon Software's are very well designed to transfer these data from 1 dept. to another with minimum efforts. In absence of Hexagon Tools , Inter-Discipline Coordination is really tough task as It may result in Data Loss due to Human errors which may happen during transfer of data. But, Hexagon Tools transfer exact data available in Tools without any issue. 6. Changes Log : Hexagon Tools always track changes i.e. at any interval of time, you can track. who changes what & on which date. This is always required for large projects. 7. Also, It is costly. **Recommendations to others considering Hexagon:** I highly recommend to use Hexagon Products in all Engineering Projects as it will save your project manhours, ease of project database saving, anytime access to History of changes, Revision Management, Inter discipline coordination. In short, By using Hexagon Software's, your project will run smoothly & On Time & YOu can save lots of Manhours. **What problems is Hexagon solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Hexagon Tools in all our projects to Prepare Project Database. It helps us to create Complete Project Database in 1 file which is easy to carry / initialize at any location. We use it in Cloud i.e. Teams separated by locations are using 1 database only. It helps us in analyzing data at any time because we generate any report that we want. It helps us in Generating all Projects deliverables as per planned date as there is no duplicate entry required for any item in database, any data needs to be entered once & all related Reports/ Deliverables share that common data. Like in SmartInstrumentation Software, Instrument Cable needs to be created only once, and all reports / diagrams which needs that cable data will fetch data from single source, you need not to enter that cable data in all reports separately. Metrology and imaging has many options that can be configured to resolve many issue that exist today in inline production. Speed and reliability, once the system is configured and up and running, it was a smooth a ride. **What do you dislike about Hexagon?** Sometimes configurations are not easy to find, or know about. Between different software there is no unified look and feel. Due to overhead of customized cells, various equipment and so forth, bring up time was long. **Recommendations to others considering Hexagon:** An overall great product when your looking at sheet metal metrology, very reliable once you have gotten though the difficult setup, and then, it usually runs non stop 24/7, without any issues. **What problems is Hexagon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Measuring sheet metal & reporting . Comparing CAD planned parts to measured assembled parts. This product allows to solve alot of main issues in Metrology reconstruction of 3d images today that exist in the online production cells. Common issues are image capturing noise from the stamps in the production line, or illumination from windows different hours of the day. These distortions create bad images which can be difficult to analyze. With hexagons product, teach & core view pro, many of these are resolved using the various configurations. ### 12. The application has UI mapper. Almost all in one package. Personally, I recorded many tutorials, about Hexagon, and created many commercial models, that you can still buy now online. Application very inexpensive or sometimes free at special promotions. It also has integration with Daz Studio and Second live. Preview render has the nice ambient occlusion look. **What do you dislike about Hexagon?** It is dated, does not updating anymore. Modeling technology is old, to this days. Feel like the end of this product is very near. Hexagon changed many owners and developers hands, that lead to some inconsistency in UI. Some limitation on the type of polygonal modeling.
