## Salesforce Heroku Reviews
  ### 1. Fast, Effortless Deployments with Salesforce Heroku’s Seamless Scalability

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Salesforce Heroku makes application deployment incredibly simple and fast, with seamless scalability and minimal infrastructure management. Its deep integration with Salesforce, intuitive dashboard, and automated scaling streamline development, while excellent onboarding and documentation make setup effortless even for new users.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

While Salesforce Heroku is powerful, its pricing can become expensive as applications scale, especially with multiple dynos and add‑ons. The dashboard performance occasionally lags when managing large deployments, and deeper analytics or cost‑optimization insights would make it more efficient for enterprise users.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We previously struggled with slow and complex application deployments that required constant infrastructure management. Salesforce Heroku solved this by providing a fully managed, scalable platform that lets us deploy and scale apps within minutes. It has significantly reduced our DevOps overhead, improved release speed by nearly 60%, and allowed our team to focus more on innovation and product improvements instead of server maintenance.

  ### 2. Missed one payment → entire account deleted

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel W. | product owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

The platform itself is easy to get started with, has a clean developer experience, and abstracts away much of the infrastructure complexity. Deployment and scaling are straightforward, especially for small projects.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

The way Heroku handles billing issues and account deletion is unacceptable. Missing a payment — even unintentionally — can lead to permanent deletion of the entire account and all applications.

Notifications are sent only via email, which can easily end up in spam, with no in-product warnings, no dashboard alerts, and no explicit confirmation before irreversible deletion.

There is no recovery path, no backup option, and no meaningful escalation process once deletion happens. This creates a serious risk for any production or business-critical workload.

Even if users take responsibility for a missed payment, the lack of safeguards and proportional response makes the platform unreliable from a risk-management perspective.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Salesforce Heroku helps reduce infrastructure complexity by offering an easy way to deploy and run applications without managing servers. It can be useful for quick prototyping and smaller projects where speed and simplicity matter.

However, this convenience comes at the cost of limited transparency and control. Critical operational aspects like billing enforcement, account lifecycle, and data retention are handled in a very rigid way, which can create serious risk for production use. The platform solves deployment problems well, but does not provide enough safeguards when something goes wrong.

  ### 3. Efficient Automation, But Needs Better Support and Debugging

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Manjunath V. | Asst Delivery Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku has enabled us to automate our file processing tasks, such as running the unzip process for RFP case attachments directly on the platform. It has also made it easier to manage real-time synchronization of the contents within those zip files.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Cost and support was very pathetic. Debugging to be improved.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heroku helped us to automate file processing with unzip process for case attachments reducing manual efforts and also real time sync of when ever files are unziped

  ### 4. Heroku Is Robust but Lacks Learning Resources

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ninon A. | Salesforce consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku is a super robust way to leverage your current implementation

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

I guess that something that is definitely missing is more way for learning and gaining knowledge

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Leverage the current integration and platform

  ### 5. Heroku Simplifies Event Log Downloads but Has Login Issues with IP Changes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wajih N. | Admin, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2025

Heruku helped us with event logs downloads.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

It sometimes gives issues with login bcoz of ip changes

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps us with downloading event logs

  ### 6. Salesforce Heroku allows to build, run and operate applications entirely in the cloud.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

While Heroku is a great tool for small and medium applications, managing the large and complex applications may require additional stratergy and architecture.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

•Many applications fail to handle traffic spike but Heroku's scalable architecture allows applications to automatically scale resources based on demand, ensures consistent performance even in the peak times.
•Heroku provides robust security and compliance protocols, which gives peace of mind for business operating in regualted industries.

  ### 7. Accesible and Versatile Solution for deploying an application

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anjuman . | Data Scientist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

I have been using Heroku for deploying one of the new venture products for english language tutoring. The thing I like about Heroku is that it can support many languages at the same time. It uses Ubuntu in the underlying OS which makes installing packages quite easy.
We haven't needed to use customer support as of now because the documentation of Heroku is helpful and it solves most of issues. It is easily handling our 7 million user base and more than 50 thousand test takers quite easily. It is easily integrable wih all packages. We are using it daily for our development.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

I don't like that it doesn't have enough analytics for the SQL database hosted on its server. It becomes difficult to do job query optimisation when we are making the calls on the database

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heroku is the primary software we use for deploying our main application. It's API is lightweight which makes it super-easy for our team of developers to deploy the fix and changes on the main branch. It also supports a perfectly useful database for postgres setup which can be optmised to the number of users we need.

  ### 8. Great, efficient and simple PaaS solution for hosting complete web applications.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niklas W. | Senior Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku is a PaaS solution for full-stack apps, which means that frontend, backend, and databases may all be deployed on the platform, which most other platforms, such as Netlify and Vercel, do not support. Salesforce Heroku enables us to build bespoke apps with high performance, seamless integration, and low latency. All connectors function via event bus integration, allowing Heroku applications to produce events on our Salesforce platform. Another point in favor of this software is its support team, they always do a good job.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Apps may go to sleep if there is no user engagement for a lengthy period of time, and dealing with Salesforce Heroku has a high learning curve. Experience is required to select which connection to utilize to translate our Salesforce object fields to the table and how to monitor its activity.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heroku makes it simple for me to swiftly launch my professional full-stack apps by providing readily configurable PaaS solutions, and unlike AWS, I don't have to worry about exorbitant expenses due to complicated design. Through its inbuilt data connections, we can simply combine both internal Salesforce applications and external third-party apps. We can also use Heroku to generate Lightning web components and perform Apex HTTP requests asynchronously.

  ### 9. Simple to use and works amazingly great!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emeka O. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2024

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Salesforce Heroku is a PaaS platform that I have grown to appreciate. It stands out for its simplicity in setting up, deploying code, and overall management.

In contrast to AWS, GCP, or Azure, where the onus is on me to configure and oversee everything, Heroku streamlines the process. As a software developer with limited devOps experience, Heroku has become my preferred tool for managing server infrastructure.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

It is expensive and has many paid add-ons.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to deploy the backend services of my applications. I currently have more than 10 web services running on Salesforce Heroku

  ### 10. A complete disaster

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jeff E. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku was solid last decade, they have declined rapidly

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Dealing with Heroku is ok unless there is an issue. It's impossible to get resolutions without going through layers of people and support tickets. Nothing is fast, emergencies are not escalated.

AVOID at all costs if uptime and customer support is important to your business.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Right now, they are causing way more problems than solving. We are actively looking for alternatives and you probably should too.

  ### 11. Easy to use Platform for deploying projects

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heroku is making easy for deploying projects in just a few minutes. You don't need to worry about RAM, Os at all. They just take your code & make it prodution ready in just a few minutes. Although it is paid now but I deployed a lot of my college projects here.

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shailesh A. | Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

It makes deployments effortless with numerous available services such as Postgres, Redis, RabbitMQ, datadog, NewRelic etc. with one click.

No need to configure docker and buildpacks are incredible and seamless.

It also provides production, dev, staging etc. environments to deploy different branches of the project for rapid testing and previews.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku used to provide free dynos with 730-hours/month limits which were enough to last a month.
So basically, it was a free PaaS for deploying projects. Free dynos were automatically scaled to 0 and spun up seamlessly when the app received traffic.

But now, the free dynos have been discontinued, so Heroku is no longer a suitable platform for deploying hobby projects and showcasing them.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heroku takes out the pain of manually deploying projects or configuring CI/CD pipelines.
Add-on services like Postgres, Redis, NewRelic etc. are effortless set-up.
Heroku also saves the pain of configuring multiple dev, staging, and production environments.
Heroku's rollback features are also helpful in instantly rolling back faulty deployments.

  ### 21. Best Limited CPaaS platform with direct support for developers to deploy their application

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku provides direct optionality to deploy your application with a specific programming language. No config setup or infrastructure maintenance. Good options for limited-scope applications.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Can't deploy massive or large-scale applications as the optionality to config the application is limited. Multiple functionalities like Multi-AZ or load balancer is not there.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For limited-scope products or MVPs where the application is in the ideation phase and doesn't require the DevOps team to monitor it continuously. Applications with small user base can also be catered to.

  ### 22. Salesforce Heroku helps us deliver data archiving solution successfully

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Salesforce Heroku allows us to install various apps to archive data by a 3rd party archiver and we can process the archived data to be run off-platform in Heroku Postgres then synchronize the stats back to SF. The best part is that the archived data can still be visible on-platform via Salesforce Connect!

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

The pricing might not be affordable by small company with limited budget as they might not see the benefit from the solution immediately comparing the cost they could reduce from the data storage.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to move SF data off-platform and still keep them calculated and updated in Salesforce nearly real-time.

  ### 23. Great Sync tool (1 way or two)

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lindsay R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

It is a fantastic sync tool for SFDC and our proprietary app! We have several one and two way syncs between many different objects within Salesforce, both custom objects and standard.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

The sync can sometimes be slow; additionally, debugging can be hard when there are issues. I do wish that there was the ability to create custom dashboards, so that we could track higher priority issues.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We did not want to build our own sync between Salesforce and our proprietary app. We also didn't want to have to maintain the tool ourselves. This is helping us greatly with our syncs.

  ### 24. Makes Deploying Web Apps At Scale Simple For Small Teams

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan M. | Product Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku provides tools that enable us to deploy our application more easily and with less configuration. We get to focus our effort on product development and rapid improvement instead of spending it tinkering with server configuration.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

The price is the biggest downside. We've used Heroku for 10+ years now. I had thought that over time pricing would decrease, however it appears that hasn't happened. While we'd undoubtedly save money using another service, the polished tools and convenience factor are keeping us with Heroku for now.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Heroku to run Ruby on Rails applications, both web/worker servers and database. Easy rollbacks, backups, and scaling options all us to worry less about the unexpected.

  ### 25. All in one solution for my Nodejs development server

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hemant R. | Chief Technology Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Its CICD integration with VCS like GitHub.
Deployment is faster than its competitor like Render
it has its own CLI tool, which is handy when you want to deploy projects which not on any VCS and check logs for applications without login your account in the web browser.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

It becoming paid now means they have removed their free tier, so even if you want to try it, you must pay for it. And it's a bit more expensive than that. It's hosting also has some issues. You will face many problems working with different libraries like Puppeteerjs, which doesn't work on their hosting.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It Provides me with a one-click solution to set up my development server and integrate CICD automatically. With this, I can focus more on development rather than deployment.

  ### 31. Concise and fast way to MVP a server

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luciano B. | Senior Development and Support Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Most of all, it is fast and straight to the point. The best thing about Heroku is not having to go trough the hassle of creating a server, hiring an URL, managing proxies, authentication, etc.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Until 2022 it was possible to test an entire site by simply cloning the code into your Github and syncing to Heroku, but at the end of 2022 the free database attached to the Heroku free accounts were removed, not allowing for even lightweight processing for test, requiring a paid plan for any kind of operation requiring a database.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heroku was very helpful in testing an MVP and showing it to the company's partners in a very economical and fast-paced fashion. It was somewhat easy to configure the server instance to run a Django website.

Heroku is an excellent platform for deploying web applications. It's user-friendly, scalable, and offers a wide range of integrations. With its reliable infrastructure and supportive community, Heroku simplifies the deployment process, allowing developers to focus on building great apps. Highly recommended.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Lacking security controls, especially who can access different addons, and auditing

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are hosting various web apps and apis as well as databases

  ### 33. Easy to use

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Simply database and deployment for my services

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Changes happen without notice that require quick adjustments

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to use for non-technical and technical users

  ### 34. Synchronization issues related to our customer connection apps is effectively solved with Heroku

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramkumar N. | Salesforce Developer, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Salesforce Heroku enables us to build custom applications with high throughput, seamless integration & low latency attributes. All connectors operate through event-bus integration, so Heroku applications are able to create events on our Salesforce platform. To connect with our marketing cloud platform to work with its data, we use the Heroku Marketing connector.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

The learning curve is steep while working with Salesforce Heroku. We need to have experience in determining which connector we need to use to map our Salesforce object fields to the table & how we can monitor its activity. With sufficient hands-on exposure, we will effectively manage customer connector applications.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our Salesforce enterprise messaging platform, Heroku benefits us by provisioning an event-driven approach for our app architecture. We can easily integrate both internal Salesforce applications & external third-party applications through its seamless data connectors. Using Heroku, we can also build our Lightning Web Components and perform Apex HTTP callouts asynchronously.

  ### 35. Heroku is the best way to start and scale projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

With Heroku we can quickly scale our solutions when the demands come, with practically zero downtime. Besides, it's straightforward to attach new services and create multiple environments for testing and development.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

The biggest con about Heroku is the price model of some addons, which are not directly related to Heroku itself, in some cases we can see common services like DB hosting costing 2 or 3 times more than in other environments.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Heoku help us scale our solution with ease. Besides scaling, it also supporting cloning, so we can easily extend our services to our customers when necessary either by increasing our main service capacity or by creating a dedicated environment for that customer.

  ### 36. Cheap and easy PaaS solution to host full stack web applications

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dushyant P. | Technology Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku is a PaaS offering for full stack applications, meaning that the frontend, backend and databases can all be deployed via the platform, something which most other platforms like Netlify and Vercel lack. It has a CLI tool, making it easy for developers to quickly connect and deploy their application via the command line, and for less technical users, a GUI which would allow them to do the same. It has a rich collection of add ons like for Postgres, Redis to allow setting up these databases easily, as well as for logs and monitoring. Its complexity is way lesser compared to IaaS solutions like AWS or GCP

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku has several limits in its free tier version. You can only deploy a fixed number of applications. Applications can go to sleep if there is no user activity for a long time. Setting up environment configuration is also slightly complex compared to simpler solutions like Netlify.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By providing easily configurable PaaS solutions, Heroku makes it easy for me to deploy my personal and professional full stack applications fast, without worrying about configuring every little detail and unlike AWS, I don't have to worry about costs overshooting because of the complex architecture. It has greatly reduced the dependence small teams might have on DevOps personnel, thereby saving costs

  ### 37. Heoku the PaaS Ninja

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael S. | SW QA Team Leader, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

I've using Heroku since earlies 2010 since there it has been a long and pleasant journey, Heroku has many features and one I really like is its big market of modules, it CI/CD is fantastic and intuitive, and the support to the most important programming languages, but Heroku doesn't keep there it continues improving and giving you a lot of good features like management logging, and GitHub integration.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

so far I can't complain about Heroku s its been, I would improve the PHP support for CodeIgniter 4 and incorporate Net Core as an official stack, but in terms of platform for me is the best one.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've deployed many applications in Heroku as a freelancer its free Dinos are a blessing as I can have simple applications running at almost zero cost.

I've deployed my personal Portfolio in Heroku, a Clock IN/OUT application, a Calculator and a couple of more applications

  ### 38. Review for Salesforce Heroku

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harsh V. | Developer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

Heroku is one of the best PaaS in the market to meet your 3rd party app or customer portal demands. In our client project, we have integrated Heroku with multiple portals and custom URLs. Also, we have achieved a lot of improvisation in our customer portal with Heroku CLI along with Salesforce CLI.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Our Salesforce custom portal was integrated with Heroku, and with each Salesforce upgrade, we are measuring component and overall page performance. We observed a decline in loading time after each subsequent upgrade.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have integrated Heroku with multiple apps and portals. With Heroku, we have made a PaaS solution; It is easy to use among developers keeping a version history. We also use Heroku for app monitoring.

  ### 39. App & Account cancelled, Heroku still charges me every month for 1 dyno, no way to cancel

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Serguei K. | chief entertainer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

nothing at all, after salesforce has taken over heroku - it all went to the dump..

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

everything. several months ago my app was canceled without any reason given, I have lost access to my paid-subscription account, 2-step authentification I had to set recently - isn't even an option, when I log in it tells me no such user, and when I try to alter my password - it tells me the password is wrong, so the user must be there.. i contact support every week, it's my monday-morning tradition now, I ask them to stop charging me for the 1 x $7 dyno I've been subscribed to for my app, and nothing happens, they have NEVER replied my emails, it's really ridiculous, I simply have no way of canceling a subscription, short of replacing my credit card...

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i am not sure what this means...

  ### 40. Best Place to host your app for FREE!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashish M. | Senior Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 09, 2021

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

The best thing I like about Heroku is its ability to handle any kind of application, you can install any backend, frontend app with this and it works like charm. Also, the added advantage is its free tier, where you can run an app for free with a Dyno. you can also install multiple other apps for free, but they will stop working once they are idle.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Most people dislike the Heroku app sleeping policy as if your app doesn't get traffic for some time, they put it to sleep affecting performance. Also pricing is one factor, to look for if you compare it with AWS

**Recommendations to others considering Salesforce Heroku:**

Opt for Heroku if you are building your app for project, as its free and does the job

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have a Bot installed on Heroku for free, this bot tweets a mars image every one hour. Earlier i thought of other solutions, but nothing works better than heroku.

Heroku free Dyno resets every one hour. You need to upgrade to paid plan for more Dyno hours. Also most of the heroku free apps will stop by 20th of the month. But it can be bypassed if you add a credit card for verification purposes

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arjun K. | Co-founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2021

**What do you like best about Salesforce Heroku?**

- easy setup
- easy scaling of platform
- community and plugin support is fantastic
- support is very helpful

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

- with standardization, you lose customizability
- not every possible configuration is supported
- permission and extension restrictions on some plugins, like heroku postgres
- can get expensive to scale vertically (bigger machines) instead of horizontally (more machines)

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

we're a startup, so our business goal is to increase product iteration speed without worrying about the infrastructure needed to support it. with heroku, we don't need to think too much about how our product changes will affect the infrastructure - not because that's not important, but because we can ship and unship product changes without having to make permanent changes to our infrastructure. this lets us move forward quickly even with a small development team. if you're a 500-person tech team, maybe you have the bandwidth to work on your own infrastructure and the marginal benefits of custom builds outweigh the costs, but for us, heroku gives us the right trade-off between customizability and scalability.

  ### 48. Now just focus on development, not on deployment

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

I like how simple is deploying an application on Heroku is. I mostly use Heroku when developing any projects because I know that I don't need to worry about the deployment.

**What do you dislike about Salesforce Heroku?**

Pricing. Heroku price for each ad-ons separate and that is a negative point from my side. If Heroku can somehow work on their pricing more to provide more benefits to small businesses, that would be great.

**What problems is Salesforce Heroku solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Deployment of applications. Currently, I use Heroku for my apps and database hosting. and its just some clicks and work is done.
