Very easy to use **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Cathy L. | HR Manager, Legal Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2024 **What do you like best about Heartland Point of Sale (POS)?** I used Heartland Point of Sale on the receiving end and it was very easy to see the transactions that were processed. **What do you dislike about Heartland Point of Sale (POS)?** There is nothing that I disliked once I had access to the "back office" portion of the site. **What problems is Heartland Point of Sale (POS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** We used the product for receiving payments on our invoices. They have failed to launch me on their POS platform. Training and implementation were promised and not received. **What do you dislike about Heartland Point of Sale (POS)?** I requested to get refunded my over $3000 contract fee that I had to pay upfront before starting anything. (This is without the equipment) They didn't do their job and denied my request for refund. They did however refund me $138 for the monthly service fee they were charging me though. What an absolute slap to the face. I have tried again and again to get my refund and they deny it. They said their implementation did 50-75% of the onboarding work therefore I cannot get a refund. On my end, I know for a fact that isn't true. It's your word vs theirs and in their best interest for their shareholders, they are going to pocket your money. Not only did I lose over $3000 but also the time I spent trying to get this POS software implemented, the time trying to get my hard earned money back, and the time I took to write this review. Please, all small businesses, stay as far away from this company as possible. They are a leech on your bank account. I have no idea how these people sleep at night because $3000 is a lot for a small business trying to survive out here. **What problems is Heartland Point of Sale (POS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** They have created problems and have solved none. ### 3. This is a smaller price to pay for an all in one system and their pricing is pretty fair. **What problems is Heartland Point of Sale (POS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** Taking payments, customer loyalty, mobile payments. ### 4. Sometimes I need to see when the last transaction is for a student or when a Parent made a deposit but it doesn't let me **What problems is Heartland Point of Sale (POS) solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps keep me on track with my sales and student accounts ### 5. And the sales report does not give you actual unit cost or total cost of the goods sold. To get that info, you must go through multi-steps and Excel functions to back into the inventory totals needed. **Recommendations to others considering Heartland Point of Sale (POS):** The Heartland MerchantPOS makes it difficult to offer discounts at checkout. The free inventory tracking is a pain and very manual.
