I like the insights that are available to me as the admin. It helps me gauge where my team is at mentally- especially seeing which courses are being utilized the most. Right now our most used course is reframing loneliness. Now I know that this is a common issue within my team and I can use that to develop the rest of my wellness program. The different areas: focus, meditate, move, sleep - there is something there for every moment. I like having access to workouts I can do at home. There's a vast amount of courses, singles, and other sessions that suit every emotion and feeling I could possibly have. This isn't necessarily a dislike, as I've overall been very happy with the product and service. Under 'Today' you're given sessions to use throughout the day, but these are pre-decided by Headspace. I love that they have different courses on topics like focus, anger, work, productivity, sleep and most importantly there are different levels of meditations you can continue doing once you improve your skills. Andy is a wonderful teacher. He approaches meditation with a simple mind which makes it easy to understand and follow. I have ADHD, and besides this, I have no interest in guided meditations which sounds like woo woo. They lose me... and I know that's why a lot of people struggle to meditate and stick to it. The app is easy to use and not intimidating. What I mean by, when you miss a couple of days, you don't get automated nonsense motivating pop-ups. You still do get reminders but somehow they are just like reminders. Not a msg from a smartss software engineer robot telling you to go back!!! One thing I loved about them is, when I lost my job during the pandemic, they gave the app for free for a year. How genuine is that?
