There was some issues with verse application with the release of Domino V12, but have been resolved in recent fixpacks ### 3. I also find the smaller calendar view at the bottom of the mail view very helpful for a quick look into your day. **What do you dislike about HCL Verse?** Recently, my team and I have been experiencing very buggy problems with Verse. Rescheduling calendar invites rarely get sent to other participants leaving everyone with the original meeting invite and ultimately screwing up people's calendars. Other than that major bug, I have no problem with verse. **Recommendations to others considering HCL Verse:** Make sure you are on a team that all use the same platform. Once everyone is on Verse, it is way more valuable to you as a user and the organization of your team. **What problems is HCL Verse solving and how is that benefiting you?** Working from home has been a challenge in itself. Scheduling meetings through Verse and staying up to date with email threads etc. has been relatively straightforward with this application. It has given me the chance to see my day, week, and month at a glance and block out time for events months down the road. The benefit is organization and efficiency for sure. Make sure you are on a team that all use the same platform. Once everyone is on Verse, it is way more valuable to you as a user and the organization of your team. ### 4. One of the crucial elements of an email client is being able to find old emails. Often times with verse I do a search for something that might not be that old and the search feature struggles to find what I'm looking for. The search feature also fails to be able to search across different folders so if I'm looking for something in a sent email it will not find the thread within my inbox. **Recommendations to others considering HCL Verse:** Ensure that this email client will satisfy your needs from a productivity stand point. I think it works great if you are coming from a legacy lotus note installation, but there are much more modern email and productivity suites out there. Those do come at a premium but that is something you will have to evaluate in your decision making. **What problems is HCL Verse solving and how is that benefiting you?** With HCL Verse I am solving the problem of offline communication and sharing. Verse gets the information I need to me when I need it via email but only if I keep things as actions and unread emails can I persist data that I need to find in the near future. ### 11. Draft synchronization is enabled. Previously, users were not able to synchronize draft emails created and saved in Lotus Notes to the mobile device and in the opposite direction. This simply was not supported. After we switched to the Verse app, users appreciated this synchronization function. It is extremely responsive and easy to use. Hands down it saves me a lot of time at work. I like how the "Search" is implemented and how the development team made it easy to use and user friendly. It packs a lot of features which other Mail Clients are lacking, so simple and yet extremely efficient. **What do you dislike about HCL Verse?** I dislike the fact that you cannot customize it at this point, Next Version will bring new branding capability, I guess we have to wait a bit more to get that sorted out. The fact that Smartcloud Notes Web doesn't always work smoothly as it is not the recommended viewing portal for mail. **Recommendations to others considering HCL Verse:** I think that Outlook or Gmail is more agile, but Verse is sufficient for most business purposes. Having used Outlook and Gmail for business email purposes in the past, I must admit I prefer their software and find it more user-friendly on the whole. Verse takes a little while to get used to using it, as a platform it is quite different from others and navigating around it can feel rather clunky. However, I find that using the Smartcloud Notes Web helps to improve the overall experience for using the mail functionality. The software defaults to IBM Verse mail view, which I do not like so much. Calendar functionality is good because it enables you to view other people's calendars, but poor in that once somebody declines a meeting invitation, if they do not click on a very small 'keep me notified' button then they do not receive a notification when the meeting is rescheduled to a time that does work in their diaries. **What problems is HCL Verse solving and how is that benefiting you?** Only this week we discovered the sharing screen remote meeting functionality, which is a great tool. ### 26.
