I believe that gvSIG has advanced a lot compared to when I first used it, around the year 2008. Currently, it provides a complete suite, not only offering the Desktop version for advanced analysis, but also having its online version (cloud data) and mobile version (very good for data collection in the field). It is an open-source program that is also easy to install, and it can be used on various operating systems without problems. It is a very good GIS option. It has a variety of options for customer support, however, its response time is variable. It also offers data interoperability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Its graphical interface is less intuitive compared to other GIS software, especially for beginner users. Particularly, I find that the options for cartographic output design are limited, which is why it is not the program I frequently use for this purpose. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
