What do you like best about Gravy?

Implementation was easy, but that's the one and only positive I can outline. Outside of setting up some backend records so that their team could email as "us", there was no implementation. They were provided access to our Stripe account and from there it was done. From the lackluster reporting / actual TOTAL lack of reporting ("delayed till end of the month" as an explanation) to the final results that we checked and disputed, everything else was a poor experience. What do you dislike about Gravy?

Through "personalized email outreach", Gravy projected approximately a 45% recovery rate of previously failed subscription payments.

In the first month, Gravy reported a recovery rate of 21% which was about 218 customers who didn't lose their subscriptions due to failed payments - we were thrilled!

However, when we ran our analysis on that cohort of customers, only half of them actually clicked the link shared in the outreach emails. Of those customers, another half actually updated their payment method on file. This means, only about 1/4 of the customers could POSSIBLY be attributed to the email outreach....or about 54 customers.

The actual increase in retention was due to the fact that we increased the number of retries on failed payments by 2x (from 4 retries to 8). We immediately saw an increase in successful charges in attempts 5-8, which. is what boosted our recovery rate. Oh, and did I mention that while we had already increased our charge attempt count, Gravy's team was in our Stripe account manually pounding away on the "Retry Charge" button on failed payments just hoping they caught the account with enough money to push it through. By the way, this DESTROYED our metrics for that data point.

Through further research and investigation into the retained customer cohort, we can only confidently credit Gravy with a 1.2% recovery rate and have the research to prove it.

Would never recommend! Gravy has no "secret sauce"! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
