Gravitec brings the big-site technology that you see on mainstream news sites to the masses. You install a short line of JavaScript on your site and all of a sudden you're able to send notifications to your visitors after they subscribe. It's easy to set up. And it's easy to create new push notifications, preview what they look like, and then send those notifications to your subscribers. There are some tricky things about setting up your push notification, and some ways they could streamline the experience and make it more logical. The interface is a bit busy. And you can't set your preferences. For example, TTL (Time to Live) defaults to 8 hours. But I always have to lower it either 8 minutes by clicking the dropdown, or 3 minutes. I'm only sending to 100 followers, so I don't need it to be spread out over 8 hours. That's fine, and I figured it out. But the fact I have to do this every single time I make a post is annoying. I'd like them to save my preferences so I can save time and energy each time I make a post. Minor things like this make a difference in my user experience. But they aren't deal breakers. A very reliable solution for sending browser push notifications that integrates seamlessly with Wordpress. Most of my websites are done with Wordpress; I hardly do any more simple HTML sites, so having this integration is very important. It works great and is NOT blocked by ad-blockers - another essential feature. You can also integrate it into an HTML site using a piece of code, but with Wordpress you get other options such as notifications when new posts are made. The tagging feature doesn't work well all the time. I'm having a hard time using it since it's not that accurate or maybe I'm the problem for not figuring it out how to best use it. But their documentation on the subject matter is very techie-like, and I don't think I'll ever have the time to go through and understand and implement all those things. I'm just missing Shopify native integration. If they implement it then it would be the best push notification out there. Their pricing is very generous. The other great feature is RSS.
