In any given month, we find that 5–10% of our new supplier onboarding requests are for suppliers that already exist in Graphite Connect, which is very pleasing. The team is also very responsive to our needs, and they continue to add new features that enhance the product, including new partnerships and third-party integrations such as Descartes OCR for denied party screening and new bank and identity verification tools. As with any new software rollout, there’s a learning curve. That isn’t a specific downside to Graphite; I think any new product of this type would come with a similar adjustment period. I find banking validations, when manual, can be inaccurate. Also, reporting can't be delivered via email, and integration failures need better visibility. Graphite is very useful to onboard new vendors - I just need to fill out a form and then they receive a request. It's also great because different departments of the company have access to it at the same, which clearly improve collaboration (we look at the same tool, the same page, and that's great!) One thing that could definitely be improved is the flexibility of the platform - for example, we're using it for big contracts as well as very small ones and some of my points of contact don't always understand why they have to share so much information just to be onboarded for a small payment for example.
