The keys are stored in hardware security modules, so they are better protected compared to normal software key storage. It is also a managed service, so we do not need to manage hardware or maintenance. Everything runs in Google Cloud, which makes it easier to scale and manage. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud HSM?** At first, it can be a little confusing if you are not familiar with encryption or key management. Some concepts take time to understand. **What problems is Google Cloud HSM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Google Cloud HSM helps protect sensitive data by managing encryption keys securely. Instead of managing physical HSM devices ourselves, we can use the cloud service. ### 2. The Google Cloud manages our HSM cluster, so it's very easy to use. Google cloud HSM keys creation is simple using google cloud console or with gcloud commands. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud HSM?** there is nothing till now to dislike about Google Cloud HSMs. **What problems is Google Cloud HSM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Google Cloud HSM keys are certified FIPS 140-2 Level 3 and clusters are managed by Google itself. The problems that we do not face while using Google Cloud HSMs are that we don't have to worry about scaling, patching and clustering. Google Cloud HSM is using KMS in front so we can use all the features that Google KMS provides. ### 4. To my mind, these keys are the core of the security system, allowing safekeeping of data that should not fall into the wrong hands, such as customers’ records and financial documents. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud HSM?** Google Cloud HSM’s current scenario with reference to key rotation is rather dicey and not very smooth. Transferring keys also involves having to do it manually, meaning that it becomes somewhat cumbersome in dealing with many keys. **What problems is Google Cloud HSM solving and how is that benefiting you?** Google Cloud HSM gave me a way to manage my encryption key and is far more reliable than what I faced in the past. Google Cloud HSM also does not have this risk because it is a cloud solution with a high level of protection and strict access. ### 5.
