I wouldv'e wished for more code examples for different use cases than they currently have. Even when the image is rotated or the text has a busy background, the document AI is able to correct the orientation of the document and extract the text with almost no error. With blurred images, the accuracy takes a hit, but that document was difficult for human readers as well. Also, the platform spits out the document quality report, which a user can use to decide whether to review the extracted text. **What do you dislike about Google Cloud Document AI?** It worked well on most of our test cases. But it did not perform very well when the image had tabular data. The text extraction was correct, but the order was not. It was neither column-wise nor row-wise but random. **What problems is Google Cloud Document AI solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's an advanced OCR tool that reduces the manual effort of data extraction. On some standard document formats, it worked like a charm. For other document formats, where one suspects bad extraction performance, the human-in-the-loop ensures that the recognised data is correct.
