  ### 1. Secure, Stable File Transfers with Flexible Protocol Support

**What do you like best about Globalscape?**

It supports widely used secure protocols such as SFTP, HTTPS, and AS2, along with secure access options like key-based authentication and MFA. It also provides event rules for file transfers, including PGP encryption and email delivery. In addition, it offers user-wise permissions for all users. Stable performance for large file transfers. Simple user creation and user onboarding.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

I had a requirement to create an event rule where, for the time being, I want to prevent (or stop) file uploads to a user folder. During that period, it should either upload somewhere else or remain in a queue. I didn’t find an option for this in the event rules, so maybe I need to research it more.

Another point is related to VAPT: I disliked that sensitive data is travelling in the URL, and there is no CAPTCHA feature. Even with these concerns, I like Globalscape EFT because it has helped me a lot with my requirements.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main problem Globalscape solves for me is user onboarding and assigning specific permissions. Another big benefit is automated file transfer, and the drag-and-drop workflow makes it really easy.

**What do you like best about Globalscape?**

I liked the automation features in Globalscape the most. The drag-and-drop functionality helps me set up business file transfers quickly and with minimal effort. Onboarding users in Globalscape is also fast, and I can give them different access and security options such as HTTPS or SFTP, key-based authentication, or MFA. Performance and Stability of Globalscape is also top notch.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

So far, I haven’t faced any issues that would make me dislike Globalscape. However, in the past I did dislike two things about it. First, in the Reports tab, if I generate one report, I’m unable to open a second report afterward. Also, Globalscape doesn’t provide an option to save reports in Excel format. Second, Globalscape doesn’t allow SMS integration for SMS-based MFA.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The first thing Globalscape solves for me is business file transfers. I can set up file transfers with simple drag-and-drop and move files from any machine or cloud. On top of that, Globalscape’s UI is easy to understand, and everything feels well structured. Reading the logs is also straightforward, which helps a lot when I need to troubleshoot an issue.

We were facing challenges with our SFTP file automation process. After implementing the Timer Event and FTC module in Globalscape EFT, our file processing and partner file consumption became seamless and efficient.
One of the key advantages was its ability to integrate with multiple systems and support various SFTP connection protocols. This flexibility made it easier to manage file transfers across different environments.
And support for multiple protocols make it a reliable choice, especially in the BFSI domain.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

We previously used a perpetual license for Globalscape EFT, but the shift to a subscription-based model has become a major factor for us to keep the process up since our business is rely on this SFTP.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Seamless integration and various other factors such as ease of use, a well-oriented platform, and reliable performance in HA mode, which we are currently using. The load is distributed simultaneously without any blockage, ensuring smooth operations. It is a well-structured platform, and our business relies heavily on this application. Additionally, the support provided is also very good.

Creation ARM limitations such as 1000 pg report which needs to be customise and some time fir audit we require this report but the pg restrictions is one limitations here we need to fetch with different date filter’s

This product has efficiently met our requirements for setting up, automating, and managing file transfers, while consistently adhering to security standards day to day over the span years in a busy and fast-paced environment where there is constant need for monitoring and best management for our and our customers security and delivery of fast, reliable and quality service. It is easy to understand, use, and support, and it also allows customization to our needs, supported by ample information in the knowledge base and help files. Implementation is straightforward, and the availability of help files and customer support has been very helpful. Overall, the product offers many features that make integration easier during adoption, while also incorporating the latest industry-standard requirements.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

In my opinion, product testing before release should be more robust. Over the years, there have been a few instances where bugs were discovered, features were missing, or changes were made that removed essential functionality. In those cases, the previous functionality was only brought back in later versions after our follow-up and requests, in some cases because it was important for how we use the product, but also in some cases because it genuinely was missing a functionality that would ultimately be noticed on a wider scale and impact our customers to whom we offer our services using this product and its capabilities.

Their product is helping us deliver fast, reliable and quality service while easy to support and customize as well as maintain for delivery best security practices at the same time.

The monitoring and alerting of event rules is difficult. There is no UI to monitor if the rule runs successfully or failed.

I appreciate that Globalscape allows for easy file transfer with clients and other offices, which simplifies collaboration. I like that, in general, the software just works without any hitches. The initial setup was very straightforward and logical, which I found really convenient.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

The console UI software is very basic, it could be more user friendly. I think the 'stop' button should be removed from such a prominent position on the task bar, where it could easily be accidentally clicked.

I like the dependability of Globalscape. It's a solid product, and the majority of issues I've faced are with other technologies around the product, not the product itself. Reliability is key since the files exchanged are critical to our business.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

Administration, tools to assist with updating items in the administration client. For the allow/deny rules, the ability to search/sort and import/export right from the admin panel would be time saving. Network setup around the tool was challenging, and it was not easy to get that information.

Migration was a challenge, we migrated from 7.4 to 8.2 and still having remnant issues after migration. Availability of support during migration.

With Globalscape, clients can connect and upload files to the FTP server, and our in-house applications connect seamlessly. Its easy-to-navigate UI helps me find stuff and troubleshoot issues efficiently.

Allows us the ability to have clients sign in directly and send us print files etc.  Allows us to send back to the clients using sftp etc.  So allows us to interface with our clients bidirectionally.

Currently I believe it is the issues we have had with upgrading/Moving to newer versions.   We have recently had issues with fixing bugs in current versions.   I also wish there was a way to "Comment Out/Temporarily inactivate and action with in a rule so we can deal with temporary issues or changes.

Sometimes it is difficult to integrate and configure with the URL provided. 
Advertisements configuration is not working well with this software. The plug-ins are expansives, as there are only limited features on the normal version of this software.

Having to sign in to the desktop application a lot because of timeouts. 
When working with advanced workflows you are not able to look at other things like event rules at the same time.
There is a lot of configuration, but once configured, you don't have to change much.

File transformations using Advanced Workflows. If we didn't have this capablility we'd end up having to purchase another software to do some of these transformations. Some are very simple transformations where we just need to read through records in a file to find a single charactor. This is a great cost savings in some cases.

To be honest it is very easy to deploy and architecture is so simple to understand that makes it administrator so easy. Also it is so flexible that it can integrate with many of the third party appliations to cover many of the parameters of  corporate compliance. In one word "BEST" product.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

In order to over come vernabilities, we need to disable the weak ciphers but many of the users may not upgrade their client periodically and they keep on using the same weak ciphers and without intimating them we cannot disable the same. So in this case if we can get the report that which user is using cipher for communication would be easy for us to tackle and intimate the user proactively. But this report must very handy and easy to understand i.e. converting hexa decimal from log and get that convert is seriously very rigid work. So I believe, here we need to concentrate.

Best file transfer product as per my experience.

I like the integrated toolbox within the software. It gives coding the events a feeling that resembles visual studios which is very easy to use. I also like the import/export ability for events. Exporting an event, making a small change, and importing it back into the system makes it easy to clone similar events. They also have an area for connection profiles, which makes the upkeep and use of credentials for multiple events simple.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

The one aspect that I do not like is how general some of the errors are.  You can see where the job breaks down by having an email send and stop process, however it just tells  you which step it breaks down on.  I wish the error codes in the logs told you more about the issue that  caused it. It can be difficult to see if it is on the local or remote side because of this.   Also if the resources on the server get over-utilized, you can get a main loop broken error, which will cause random events to fail and become inactive.

**Recommendations to others considering Globalscape:**

If you are looking for an EFT product, I would highly recommend GlobalScape. The integration into our environment was seamless, and working with the vendor was simple and got done very quickly.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have thousands of files that get moved around everyday and with this program we get auto-generated emails if there is a breakdown. I no longer have to babysit or run my script to see if a file is stuck in transmission. This lets me focus on new events instead of looking to see if something transmitted manually.

**What do you like best about Globalscape?**

Globalscape is a one-stop-shop for a managed FTP service. It allows the monitoring of folders and custom triggers for transmitting files to a location. File transfers can be scheduled. With the addition of the Advanced Workflow Module, administrators have the additional ability to create complex workflows that connect to cloud resources, modify or concatenate files and examine file data to make decisions on manipulation or transmission.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

The features of this particular product can feel a bit dated, particularly when looking for relatively simple functions, the way to achieve them can be mired in extra hoops and bounds to get the right result. AD and LDAP authentication methods are allowed in the base product, but adding SAML is locked behind an additional module that, while useful is very expensive for what most clients would like use out of it.

**Recommendations to others considering Globalscape:**

If you have any interest whatsoever with using Active Directory as the authentication method for users or to use as access control, I highly suggest configuring that as your setup the site(s). Adding this integration later is currently impossible without completely rebuilding whatever site would use it.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are required by law to transfer any PII or other sensitive data in a secured fashion when transmitting it externally. In compliance with that, we work with our external providers to use secure protocols. Globalscape's EFT platform makes that a breeze. They support industry standard protocols and provide a vast array of ciphers to use for encryption. With the Advanced Security Module, you gain additional access to features like AS2 for transmission acknowledgement, etc.

Something we use that has really been a boon to our users is the Workspace Module. This allows users to send files to external clients securely. It also supports sending files that are much larger than most email services will allow one to send or receive. Additionally, Globalscape provides the ability to integrate workspaces with Microsoft Outlook, so if an organization uses Outlook and Exchange, whenever a client attempts to send a file larger than Exchange will allow, the file will automatically upload into EFT and add a download link to the email.

It has so many different solutions for pushing and pulling secured data. It has become our number one vehicle for secure data transfers.

I can't honestly say there is anything I dislike about Globalscape. Its the perfect product.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Globalscape has been the provider of one solution after another in moving secured data in many different ways along with moving large amounts of secure data when secured email was not and option. In the healthcare environment its a major asset. The benefits are having happy customers, vendors and company staff who know they can move or receive any amounts of secure data at anytime hassle free.

**What do you like best about Globalscape?**

EFT ensures secure, efficient transfer of large files in split seconds. The Web Transfer Client provides Users an interface to send, share files and folders with internal and external users of the platform. Ability to encrypt and decrypt files with the openPGP option is magnificient. 

The dropoff portal which ensures that files are sent to only inserted email addresses in the administrative Workspace - dropoff "Address Book" is a secured way to ensure files are sent to only assigned list provided by the administrator.

Secure measures to transfer super large files within the organization and externally. 

Globalscape Electronic File Transfer is the best platform for file transfer.

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

Globalscape Electronic File Transfer requires intensive support and knowledge base requirements for High Availability installation. 

A single mix-up in port (https-ssl, or sftp-ssh) numbers in the EFT solution and gateway connection, will clash sites and render issues in like regards.

Best practice doesn't recommend same value for port numbers on two different site anyway, except for separate IP provisioning and other exceptions which should be quite clear, as an administrator.

Globalscape gives you exactly what you want as regards top notch platform for file transfer and service support.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've secured measures to transfer super large files within the organization and externally.

EFT securely provides this platform for the entire organization (with preferred authentication method) to be able to sign on the Web Transfer Client safely, send files securely and share workspace. 

Based on configuration, the dropoff portal been accessible to send files to designated individuals.

As of now, I haven't come across anything which makes me dislike the software.

I'd suggest to go for GS EFT software, it's one stop shop for all MFT requirements. Their customer support is one of the best support system. It's a secure application and is in compliance with multiple factors.

We have clients all over the globe who transact with us by sending data to us and we provide solution to them by working with the data provided. EFT software helps us achieving the same. 

GlobalSCAPE Enhanced File Transfer has automated all file transfer related tasks which eventually helps the business.

These features are very much useful in our day to day work:
1) Intelligent automation folder monitor or file uploaded
2) Scripting capability by AWE
3) Easily manageable admin console
4)  Web access capability for external users
5) Business Activity Monitoring capability is good
6) Mail Express integration is good
7) Workspace module a replacement for Mail Express
8) Verbose logging for AWE which will give more details on the issues
9) Inbuit reports and ability to build customized reports help to know the system activity and performance better

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

Few limitations:
1) When we try to download a file from a remote server and if file does not exist, then it should not be called file download failure, there should be some option to mark as success if no file exists.
2) It would be good to have if action succeeded besides if action failed in the event rules.
3) Good to have web admin interface to be able to access outside the servers with full features
4) Ability to configure different URLs for internal and external along with separate SSL cetificates
5) Good to have in built sync tool which is used to get the user history in terms of last connection date and time etc.
6) Good to record time stamps in the logs so we know what happened and when

**Recommendations to others considering Globalscape:**

Go for it, it is very good

1) Feature to have different file name until the file is fully transferred in event rules
2) If file transfer fails due to network issues, it will be picked up automatically when the connectivity is back

integrated AWE module, Monitor, file upload, scheduler event rules. Encryption and decryption and zip and unzip the files. these features are best and different protocols available to transfer files. Industry best security algorithms available to use. Supporting multiple nodes with load balancing feature.

advance workflow engine module not  update with some versions. Latest globalscape version having automate 10, but actual latest version of automate is 11. so better to integrate latest version to globalscape when you release new versions.

The status screen really helps provide a clear view of all the movements happening past, present, and future. The overall event rules are simple to create and allow you to bypass scripting if that is not your strength.

The even rules do stay alphabetical when your looking to clone one or amend it.

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is an Enterprise solution so any data that is B2B or internal is being sent via this application. The product has been extremely helpful with the Connection Profiles. Being able to test from with in the application is essential, no longer a need to rely on Filezilla.

EFT makes file sharing easy, you can log into web client or have the plugin right you mail app to send large files easily. My favorite thing about EFT is options for delivery.
I can set it to expire right after it is open. I require an account for NoN EFT users. It is very secure
Another i like very much about EFT is requesting large files option, makes working with Vendors is.  I can draft request email right from outlook.

the only thing that comes to mind is that AD integration is no the best.

**What do you like best about Globalscape?**

The GUI for the software we use EFT Enterprise is simple enough that support of the entire environment can be managed by a limited number of resources, even for our use case which is close to 10,000 users across several different deployments. 

**What do you dislike about Globalscape?**

The way the EFT file system works can leave a little to be desired. It has some good functionality such as the ability to digitally mount other file shares and have them become part of it's file system, but are times we run into an issue with it's ability to apply permissions.

Some build in automated clean up jobs for old files, would also be nice and a feature I have had in other solutions in the past.

**Recommendations to others considering Globalscape:**

If you are in need of a simple and easy to manage solution for FTP, with good support, it's hard to go wrong with EFT. 

**What problems is Globalscape solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy to manage standards across the entire environment, we have 4 different deployments and ensuring they all have the same configuration.
