## GitScrum Reviews
  ### 1. GitScrum Studio: Building Alignment Over Management for Modern Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Renato M. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

As the founder, what I'm most proud of is how GitScrum Studio enables true cross-functional collaboration without the complexity overhead of traditional PM tools. The integration of project management with wikis, mind maps, documents, and client portals in a single workspace creates natural alignment between agencies, developers, managers, and clients.

I particularly love how our developer-centric approach means technical teams can actually work in the tool rather than just reporting to it. The ability to connect Git repositories, track technical debt alongside features, and maintain documentation in context - that's what makes GitScrum different from Jira or Monday.com.

The lifetime deal model we offered early on also reflects our commitment to early supporters - those users have been instrumental in shaping what GitScrum has become.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

Honestly? The migration from legacy GitScrum to GitScrum Studio in 2023 was painful, and we didn't handle it as well as we should have. Some lifetime deal users experienced confusion, access issues, and communication gaps that broke trust. We're still working to rebuild that.

Performance can be inconsistent for workspaces with massive amounts of historical data. Our AWS infrastructure scales well, but we're continuously optimizing query performance and caching strategies.

The mobile app also needs more feature parity with the web version - we're actively investing in React Native development to close that gap.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitScrum solves the "alignment over management" problem. Most PM tools are built for managers to track developers - we built GitScrum for teams to align around outcomes.

For me as a founder running a distributed team and managing customer projects simultaneously, GitScrum gives me:

Single source of truth: Client communication, technical specs, task execution, and documentation all live together

Developer happiness: My team actually uses it because it respects their workflow instead of forcing arbitrary processes

Client transparency: Clients can see progress without requiring constant status meetings

Knowledge retention: Wikis and documents mean we're building institutional memory, not just closing tickets

The biggest benefit? I can scale the business without scaling management overhead. Teams self-organize around clear objectives instead of waiting for top-down task assignment.

  ### 2. GitScrum did not honor their agreement

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thani C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

It has a package that allows unlimited users. It has a modern interface.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

I paid $600 for their lifetime license and in June 2023, they want to charge me to access my own data. They were limiting only 3 months of data retrieval. To see more I had to pay for it.i don't see why I have to pay anymore when I have a lifetime license, which never stipulated that my days will be limited to months in the future.

I tried working something out with the company and to go as far as paying for some type of a subscription.

Getting an overall time report is non existent. Though they have a place to track your time, their is no way to get a consolidated report without downloading then cori and paste. If you want to track your employees time,v this is not the program to use.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was a replacement for an existing one. It eliminated me from having to self manage my own server.

  ### 3. Many features, lacks the basics

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bhargav P. | Health, Wellness and Fitness, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 21, 2023

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

GitScrum is really a great product if you think about working with the development team. But, while they improved UI by a mile, they went back to the functionality part.
Good for medium-sized teams!

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

One of the biggest cons of using GitScrum is that it lacks the feature of jumping to board from a task. When you receive a task in your email and follow that link, you will be able to see the task, but once you exit the popup of task, you will be redirected to a random place in the tool - so you do all the work of finsing that board from the scratch.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GitSrum helps me stay in touch with the development team and the marketing team in my organization. Overall gets the job done of managing our projects and help us improve performance.

  ### 4. Time saver project manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fábio N. | Software developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 31, 2022

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

I've tried a lot of project management apps, but only GitScrum gave me the flexibility I needed. Besides all features it offers out of the box, many of them I needed to install addons in other tools. It's very helpful not to think about third party tools to make it work as I need it to.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

I miss a more fluid interface where elements are dragged and dropped softly, and I'd love to see a simpler way of adding labels to the tasks. Maybe a simple list would be enough.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was unable to track the time of my tasks properly because other tools hadn't had such a feature out of the box, or for those which have, it was only available for the most complete version that, in my case, was too expensive. Gitscrum has many features, even for the most basic plan.

  ### 5. Cheap price, rich feature project and client management system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** TOM T. | Webmaster, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2022

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

Gitscrum has many features, such as Wiki, Mindmap, Documents, Discussion, Calendar, Sprint, etc, that I like, and I am happy to work with my team and clients there - all in one single platform

The dark mode also is the point I like.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

Not many; I hope they will have a more displaying style for Board and tasks such as grid style or list style.
The icons on the top menu should display their Title when hovering the mouse. This is good for new members.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can have a single platform with my domain to manage projects as well as clients at a low price.

  ### 6. Be careful! First, they offer you a wonderful tool and then they disappear.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian E. M. | CMO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

I thought it would be a great app but I feel like I've lost money.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

• Technical support does not respond.
• When you duplicate tasks, the checklists do not duplicate. Basically, only the title is duplicated.
• They promise integration with Trello but it's a lie.
• To create checklist templates, you must do it with the administrator account.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was trying to stop using Trello

  ### 7. GitScum Trello Alternative

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2021

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

GitSCrum is one of the affordable price Trello alternatives that can be used easily without any complications, or the need to be a professional, it is available in a multilingual interface, and Arabic is Included.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

When you try new software or SaaS, you think of a trial period; the big surprise I faced was that GitScum has no refund policy, and they do not have automation.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After using GitScrum, I have managed to take care of all my team work professionally and distribute the work among them, and of course, it gives me the ability to follow up with them as well.

  ### 8. GIT-SCAMMED

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2021

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

Promising, but does not deliver for professionals that have serious businesses with more than 50 clients. For small or freelance groups, you'll be up-charged all along the way. At the end of the day: you'll be wasting time and money with this less than a professional group of developers that will not support you but rather only interested in you monthy payment and your stuck with them because they'll have all of your data and work

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

hidden fees, clunky platform operations, not trustworthy.

**Recommendations to others considering GitScrum:**

Run. Not trustworthy with your business, time, clients, & your money.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. It's been a problem immediately after a year purchase up front. Got no use out of it at all. Only wasted time and money. NO REFUNDS what so ever no matter what. Buy it, hope it works, and to bad if it doesn't.

  ### 9. The Agile project management tool I have been looking for

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric A. | President & Chief Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2019

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

With GitScrum, project managers can create both Sprints and User Stories. Each of these can contain tasks, so you can track the completion of a sprint and a user story independently. This plus the inclusion of built-in time tracking, checklists inside of tasks, custom fields, and GitHub integration make it the best PM tool for Agile software Dev teams.

GitScrum also lives and breathes Agile -- they eat their own dog food with continuous releases.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

Custom reporting and lists could be improved, and more granular user access controls would be great. But GitScrum is evolving fast. In the last 12 months, they have really closed the gap with the market leaders.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The leading PM tools aren't great at managing sprint goals in agile projects, nor are they tracking the progress of user stories.

Previously, making sure the team hit the sprint goals and also satisfied specific user requirements was a challenge. It required a lot of manual work and tracking goals and requirements outside of the project management system.

GitScrum solves this.

  ### 10. Good utility but user experience is not so good

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlos O. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2020

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

The way you can see tasks in a Board is very nice. Has a lot of different options you can add to a particular ticket. It's very organize and has an unlimited number of projects you can create.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

The interface sometimes loads very slowly and it has room for improvement. The roles of adminitrator and user sometimes are confusing and lack a easy way of switch those roles. Lacks integration with google calendar and slack which are very important. Lacks a reminder system to help remember to move tasks that are completed.

**Recommendations to others considering GitScrum:**

It gets the job done and it is in constant update but at the moment lacks a bit of functionalities other softwares have. It's a cheaper alterantive to the other softwares such as monday but a personal encouragement of marking tasks as complete is needed.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The creation of tickets for projects in the company. Keeping track of the time per ticket and making a estimate of how much in average a project lasts. That several people can change tasks, create and put as complete. The ability to keep all of the projects that are currently being done and the ones that are already finished.

  ### 11. Scrum the way it should be

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2019

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

I love the fact that creating and managing multiple projects at once is so easy through GitScrum. Having the ability to customize Tags and projects as needed is really useful as things get complicated and more demanding. I love the fact that I can link multiple projects between them and the fact that if mistakes are done Scrum is forgiving.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

I have a perpetual license myself but even I do, I kind of feel like there is a point missing within the White Label option not being available for perpetual license owners. I know that it depends on “tier” but it could be cool to have the option since a perpetual license is already owned.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing my projects and knowing where I am at all times is a lot easier with GitScrum. Also, I communicate with many clients through Slack Channels and interconnection between Slack and GitScrum is so easy that I can keep my clients posted while only submitting updates though GitScrum.

  ### 12. Extraordinary Software To Help You Plan Out Software Projects

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thilina loku B. | Associate Software Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2020

**What do you like best about GitScrum?**

This is a half breed among Asana and Jira - with the guarantee of being the best of the two universes. Incredible load up the executives highlights and we love the agendas, work process customizations, time-following, run the board.

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

UI is horrible, yet you can become acclimated to it - Support isn't constantly incredible at whatever point bugs show up - Speed can be awful if your association is normal

**Recommendations to others considering GitScrum:**

Utilizing GitScrum to design IT and the advancement of new stages, apparatuses, bugs, and Todos for clients. Gradually extending access to sellers working inside our condition to have a strong Ops apparatus across numerous groups.

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize the framework to arrange organizations of our framework, we additionally use it for showcasing work. We get with him a more extensive perspective on our troubles.

  ### 13. It caused problems with revisions and we discontinued using it since then

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2020

**What do you dislike about GitScrum?**

Incorrect setup cannot be corrected without the help of support

**Recommendations to others considering GitScrum:**

Don't use it

**What problems is GitScrum solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Revision control
