**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

Gitcolony is feature rich version of GitHub, and I love the integration of development and QA processes in one place; allows to add due-date, mandatory and optional reviewers and marks the review "in-progress" to prevent accidentally merging the code.

it can be overwhelming at times with plethora of features

**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

The rich UI and few propelled components are exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. It permits the QA group to vote in favor of endorsement or dismissal of force solicitations. Also, remarking and making issues has turned out to be more smooth with this instrument set up. The best some portion of Gitcolony is that it makes a concentrated interface for various vaults and you can make a force demand for every one of them without a moment's delay.

**What do you dislike about Gitcolony?**

It has extra and propelled highlights over the current GitHub. The establishment and general introductory set up took a considerable measure of time. Users should be very much acclimated with the current GitHub generally may be a bit excessively overpowering for new clients.

**Recommendations to others considering Gitcolony:**

Everything is lot easier here- from set up to merging code. Recommended.

**What problems is Gitcolony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My organization required a formal stage to facilitate code audits among several engineers. We likewise expected to indicate access control records with a specific end goal to ensure that no substandard code was being dedicated. Gitcolony looking into it for me is a shelter. Software/Web advancement I'm right now chipping away at upgrading the effective of instruction organization, furthermore, the absence of come up short of training possibilities. It has streamlined in-house support and eventually has had an effect on our client base by upgrading the nature of in-house correspondences.

  ### 4. Integrating development and QA

**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

Through Gitcolony, you can review the code as it is being written, while selecting multiple people to review simultaneously. This has speeded up our process while still maintaining the QC. The best feature for me has been the merging and linking of pull requests since we work on multi-repositories projects. It allows the QA team to vote for approval or rejection of pull requests.

**What do you dislike about Gitcolony?**

It has some advanced features and they can improve upon the documentation and help files for the explanations. I had a hard time figuring out how to implement them for our code management process.

**Reviewed by:** Saroj K. | Senior Business Analyst, Internet, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 16, 2016

**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

The best part of Gitcolony is that it creates a centralized interface for multiple repositories and you can create a pull request for all of them at once. Also, new commits to the destination branch are automatically merged into your pull request. It's a great tool for bug tracking and lets you highlight the syntax which helps in peer code reviewing.

**What do you dislike about Gitcolony?**

It's somewhat an advanced tool. It has additional and advanced features over the existing GitHub. Beginners might have a hard time getting the hang of this tool.

**What problems is Gitcolony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our earlier code review process involved asking people for their time and requesting to have a look at the code. With this tool, it has become faster and more transparent thereby reducing the time taken for code development.

  ### 6. More powerful GIT!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2016

**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

Gitcolony is in a way an advanced version of GIT. People who work with GITHub or TortoiseGit will feel very nice once they move to Gitcolony. The rich UI and few advanced features are very nice and helpful.
This also makes the review process much easier.

**What do you dislike about Gitcolony?**

Sometimes the abundance of features makes us little confused. ;)
If the user is new to the GIT based code management world, this will be little confusing!

**Recommendations to others considering Gitcolony:**

Would recommend to any team who wants some lightweight tool for code management.

**What problems is Gitcolony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use it for managing code of one of the projects in our company. This really helps to keep track of the code changes done by various team members and the reviews being done across the team.

  ### 7. Git for Advanced Users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2016

**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

One of the most unique feature which I haven't encountered anywhere else is the multi repository pull request. Projects where more than one repositories are involved it's very difficult to make two different piece of code live on two different servers. Making a pull request which automatically gets merged on two different repository is indeed a very useful feature to have.

**What do you dislike about Gitcolony?**

It's not very simple to use specially for people who are new to source management tools.

**What problems is Gitcolony solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Merging and reviews projects are very important when business is concerned. This tool saves a lot of time and makes the whole flow quite smooth instead of putting time asking people to review and mailing them about the same.

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2016

**What do you like best about Gitcolony?**

Few awesome features:-
- you can choose a merger, this is a very big problem in normal github that whose gonna merge the code and wether the guy is aware of certain problems about the feature.
- you can choose you reviewers, it's a must have feature in GIT as well, not sure why they missed it out.

**What do you dislike about Gitcolony?**

It's a fairly new thing in the market, not sure how the customer support is gonna be like. Users are supposed to be well accustomed with the existing GitHub otherwise might be a bit too overwhelming for new users.

**Recommendations to others considering Gitcolony:**

In short, it's a better version of git, a must tool to have, one can sign up for free. Would recommend.
