## GeoGebra Reviews
  ### 1. Great for Mapping Geometric Shapes and Solving Problems

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niko P. | Mathematics Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I love how student’s can go ahead and map out geometrical shapes to help them solve problems as well as

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

You must take time to learn tools by just clicking away, and trying to trial. An error will cost some frustration. Also, it can become very detailed for example, when I have my geometry, students create proof and build diagrams if they don’t follow the details, they miss a step they’re not able to see correct angles or measure

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Geogebra is helping me plan out lessons that deal with geometry, providing student students are much more hand on experience being able to visualize each and every problem and proved that needs to be solved

  ### 2. It is am amazing graphing software!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sandeep C. | Managing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2022

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

It allows 3D graphing, 2D graphing, polar graphing, and also geometry. It is very versatile and colorful. Very illustrative.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

The interface is a bit vague and opens on web only. Resst everything works smoothly. Also, the construction and breakpoints are difficult to understand.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping me analyse huge data set with graphing capabilities. It is helping me analyse polar curves and stock graphs as well.

  ### 3. Wonderful tool for presenting dynamic relationships

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gary B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 02, 2021

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

The ability to share and view/edit the work of others. This is HUGE. It's a great tool to show dynamic relationships to students - I typically use it as a demo tool during explanation of a concept.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

The organization of all the teacher created boards is not that good. There are a lot of repeats and some poor quality items. I wish Geogebra could curate or at least have "favorites" list for given topics. It's difficult for new teachers to learn.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping student prove or visualize geometric relationships. Benefits include the feedback from students who say, "Oh, now I see" since visualization of concepts is huge when looking at various theorems and proofs. It also introduces the idea of proof... we could look at ALL possibilities by dragging vertices in all possible places (which is technically impossible) or do a mathematical proof to show the theorem works for every case.

  ### 4. GeoGebra is a powerful tool.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Murat C. | Mathematics Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

GeoGebra is a great maths tool for all levels of education. It is available in many languages for millions of users around the world. Any user can make whatever they need for their students and they don't have to start from scratch. It is an open-source software that lets users to build or adapt their learning experiences to meet their kids' needs.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

It is not very easy to use and It takes time for users to learn how to use the geogebra tools. The user-generated content may varies in quality. You need to spend some time to make sure to familiarize yourself with the extensive tutorials in order to use the geogebra effectively. It would be definitely very helpful to my students if they had a better overall understanding of the basics of geogebra software.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

You may need to give your students a little more time to work with Geogebra before their projects. The learning curve is not going to be that steep. So it requires a bit training before working with geogebra tools.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A large number of tools is going to allow students to explore many areas of math and they will have a chance to see how they connect. It is also free. Students can create their own understanding by building and they can modify mathematics constructions. Also, pre-set functions will allow students to investigate a wide range of concepts for maths.

  ### 5. Excellent for teaching, even economics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matěj A. | BIT Analyst, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

The range of possibilities and customizability of this mathematics lab is excellent. The interface is point-and-click but also provides a command line with function-oriented programming interface. There is also support for latex input to display mathematical expressions according to conventions. Export to graphical and markdown formats serves me great when creating illustrations for articles and study materials.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

The direction Geogebra has been taking recently. Focus on the web app is great for primary and secondary school mathematics and geometry but cannot provide the robustness required for applications in some fields at a university level. Their still provide support and backward compatibility for version 5, though. And that makes me stick to it.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

In mathematics-related undergraduate courses, try to lobby for inclusion of GeoGebra in the earliest stages so that students gain appreciation for it before interacting with it in practice. While the authors do their best to keep the interface as simple and mathematics-oriented as possible, there is need for understanding of how computer functions work.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To gain full understanding of some very complex economic models, I built them using GeoGebra, leaving most variables adjustable. Thanks to the web-based ecosystem around this tool, my students are able to inspect dependency of given model's outcome on each of its exogenous variables. While it would be great to have them create representations of their own, it does take time to learn, though, and those unfamiliar with GeoGebra from high school cannot be expected to do it over the course of a fast-paced one-semester module.

  ### 6. GeoGebra Makes Desmos Obsolete

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nour H. | Mathematics Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I teach Calculus and Vectors. I find that Geogebra allows my students to create and discover as they are learning in addition to come up with conclusions from each task they attempt. The ability to construct what you would like to see in front of you is so powerful and motivating to dig deeper to achieve the best understanding possible. Vectors course is very challenging due to having to visualize in 3D line and planes. GeoGebra makes it so easy and it is very intuitive to use.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

Absolutely nothing. I find it very user friendly.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

It might take you a couple of YouTube videos to acquaint yourself with some skills but the resources on Geogebra and the versatility of the software are worth every second you train to learn how to use it.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vectors, Rates of Change, construction of perpendicular bisectors, altitudes, medians and measuring areas and angles to say the least. I also solve optimization problems using it. Very powerful tool.

  ### 7. GeoGebra is amongst the best Computer Algebra and Geometry tool available for the Classroom.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Naveen K. | Software Localization Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

Geogebra allows me to conduct Algebra & Geometry experiments immediately. Being able to program in JavaScript & GeogebraScript using geometric primitives makes it a dynamic environment for Mathematics and Geometry learning. I can conduct experiments in Geometry, Differential Equations, Make dynamic feedback based mathematics simulations and questionnaire for students. In short, creating simulated lessons in Geogebra is very easy. Apart from a repertoire of tools, it also allows you to create your own custom tools which can be used to further enhance its capabilities.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

2D Geometry Features of Geogebra are dynamic and easy to use. 3D features are also good but need to evolve further. Also, as the number of vertices or geometry elements keeps on increasing, the software tends to get slightly slow. I also wished that it had rendering capabilities like a professional 3D editing software like Blender. But then it's a CAS tool and not a 3D model making tool. I also have a wishlist of Geogebra being available as a distributed CAS tool so that many mathematics enthusiasts could work on their algebra and geometry problems simultaneously.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

Geogebra is an excellent CAS tool. The best way to learn initially is to copy & learn from other people's creations. And the best place to do that is https://www.geogebra.org/. It is also an excellent tool to create school lessons. You can also use GeoGebra to create Generative artwork involving patterns and Geometry.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving problems related to School/College Geometry, some basic optimization problems, problems related to differential equations, make Geometry simulations, basic problems in complex and imaginary geometry, etc. And being able to program in JavaScript and GeogebraScript allowed me to create my own custom experiments.

  ### 8. Geogebra is a great way to make mathematics very visible to students. Great tool!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jose Javier P. | Mathematics Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I love that Geogebra can make mathematics more visual for students. It is relatively intuitive and easy to learn. My students also enjoy using Geogebra when completing tasks.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

I sometimes find it hard to find old Geogebra work that I had. It would be nice if there was an easy way to store all the worksheets especially for our classes.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

Practice with the tools before showing it to your students. There are many great tools but you need to familiarize yourself with them first before showing it to the class. This will also help you feel more confident when carrying out a class activity using Geogebra.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am using Geogebra when giving enriched tasks to students. For example, finding the equation of the median or finding the orthocentre.

  ### 9. Great for investigations!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

Intuitive, clear, varied, fun. We love using this for investigations, especially when introducing Circle Geometry. This really helps students SEE the circle theorems and allow them to understand them, rather than just memorize them. We find the students (age 13) are able to easily and quickly discover how to use the program, and often share ideas with their classmates on how to move through some of the processes with ease. These are always their favourite lessons.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

The need to click points in a certain order to measure angles, it'd be nice to automatically measure both the acute and obtuse angles, and just delete the one you don't want.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

Go for it! This is a tried and tested resource for education. I have many years of experience in the field as a teacher, and I myself used it as a student at university. It is a great resource.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our school uses this as a teaching tool to introduce many geometric ideas, especially in circle geometry. I'd like to use it in higher-level courses, however, I lack the time to investigate how to do so. I'm sure it'd be great to use it here as well!

  ### 10. Clunky interface, incredible power

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul B. | Math Department Chair, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 07, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

Geogebra is powerful and free. I use it all the time to create visualizations for my Multivariable Calculus students. The Geometry (automatic shape builders and intersect in particular) tools work amazingly well.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

The interface is clunky and sometimes unintuitive. There's no back button for typos in the 3D editor, and you really have to think through the order in which you enter graphing instructions, particularly in assigning parameters (though this seems to have recently been improved to automatically assign a presumed parameter).

Desmos.com is far less powerful, but their interface allows for Control-Z or Command-Z while typing and parameters don't have to be typed before their use in a graph. I have to admit that Desmos' ease of use makes it my go-to for 2D demonstrations.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My multivariable calculus students can be shown 3D geometry and vectors without having to depend on traces all the time. Although with the intersect tool, it was extremely easy to show them how plane traces can reveal shapes.

  ### 11. Great source for quality geometry explorations.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stuart G. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 04, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I like the ease of construction geometry applets for students to make discoveries about geometric phenomena. I love the database of activities designed by other teachers. There is a GeoGebra activity for almost any geometry theorem or postulate that I need to be able to unpack for my students.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

Some of the display settings are not very intuitive. There is a steep learning curve for becoming a GeoGebra user who builds your own activities.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

For ease of use take advantage of the extensive library of activities that is already available. Otherwise, plan to put in some learning time before you make your own.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use GeoGebra to allow students to discover geometric principles in a dynamic environment. It is excellent for quick in class demonstrations of things like the vertical angles theorem, triangle angle sum theorem, etc. It is a fantastic free tool for geometry teachers and learners.

  ### 12. Takes some getting used to but a powerful tool for interactive visualisation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan C. | Tehnical Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

Interactivity is really the best. I used it to make interactive exercises for school kids to use and it is a great way to show them how does something change based on few parameters that they can control. Perfect for maths and physics where you can generate graphs based on what users write in or simulate how gravity changes along different parts of the earth.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

difference from common programing syntax

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

Don't think of it as normal programming when working with it. It will only give you trouble.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy way for kids to visualise tasks. Also we were able to export it and implement it in the website in such a way that it can be downloaded as a part of it.For offline use.

  ### 13. Math Teacher Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephanie B. | Mathematics Educator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 24, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

The graphing features for my Algebra students take them beyond just the graphs. We can have discussions about characteristics of the graphs. We can make comparisons between graphs and their equations.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

I don’t Necessarily dislike anything about the program itself. My frustration is more with districts that tie your hands with what we can use in our classrooms.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

I would recommend GeoGebra if you are wanting to enhance your teaching and student learning. The discussions will be richer and the learning can be deepened.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Linear Equations
System of Equations
Quadratics
Exponential

The benefits that I have seen lie with my previous comment about what I love about the graphing program. The higher level questions I can have with my students.

  ### 14. Geogebra is a GREAT resource!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tamaiko C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I like that I can use it for multiple concepts- geometry, probability/statistics, 3D graphing. With the newest feature, being able to share activities with a class has been great for distance learning as well.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

Sometimes, the functionality is not as easy for students to navigate. I have to be very strategic about what I have them use Geogebra for, and make sure I anticipate any questions they may have.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love the classroom resources for my digital environment and I love that they are accessible from different forms of technology (laptop, phone, tablet, etc). The remote learning templates have been quite helpful as well.

  ### 15. Excellent Learning Tool for Mathematics

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I love the interactive activities and the classroom resources in general.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

I wish it supported Python as well as Java, as our school teaches Python pretty much exclusively at this stage.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

An excellent tool worth exploring.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My senior maths class is currently working on transformations of circular functions. Being able to dynamically alter the functions and have my students visually see the changes is so helpful.

  ### 16. An intuitive and powerful suite of tools for teachers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Franco C. | Adjunct Instructor - Mathematics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed by:** Luke A. | Instructor of Mathematics, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

I think the intuitive entry of equations it’s really helpful to students and instructors. I also think that the predictive software that helps you along with notation is better than other calculators on the market.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

It is a little bit confusing how to switch between space is on the graph. In other words it be nice to have a toggle between trig Layouts and standard layout

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly use it for calculus in college algebra to show examples. The ability to change colors and to observe derivatives is helpful

  ### 18. GeoGebra

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

Mostly, I like its features. It is also easy to download. Can be used offline too. We can also find resources to use it. Thanks!

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

I like most of the things. There is not such thing which I do not like. But some times I think that It is just supposition. Moreover, some times it won't show exact measurement. E.g. sum of angles of a triangle is 180 degree.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

Allow AR to use easily. Thanks!!

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almost, it is great application but please allow AR easy to all.

  ### 19. GeoGebra review

  ### 21. Very useful tool for math class

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michel H. | IT-Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2020

**What do you like best about GeoGebra?**

GeoGebra is extremely useful for math class in for algebra and coordinate geometry. Especially its ability to visualize 3D graphs is super useful as it can be difficult for students to draw these graphs on paper. Apart from that, it offers a great interface which is easy to use and the app is available on multiple platforms, including the web browser which truly makes it available for everyone.

**What do you dislike about GeoGebra?**

There are no bigger disadvantages that annoy me too much. It can be quite annoying to download multiple apps for multiple features (for example, the 3D graph function requires another app, as it features an augmented reality function). However, this can also be seen as an upside if you don't need features like the 3D graphs.

**Recommendations to others considering GeoGebra:**

If you are going to use GeoGebra as a math teacher in class, I would highly recommend to check out all its features to get the most out of it. Parts are hidden in other apps, so it is good to just try everything out and then deciding what to use in class. I'd recommend trying the normal graphics calculator from GeoGebra first, as this is the easiest and most straightforward app they have.

**What problems is GeoGebra solving and how is that benefiting you?**

GeoGebra is very useful to check calculations and results in analysis in school. It can be used by the teacher to visualize the solutions via a projector or the students can individually use it to check the solutions on their phone (for example finding roots for a quadratic function).
