The ability to read a SQL database as a source of information is simply perfect, and handling different versions of data source models has helped me a lot when I need to make some changes. The technical support is excellent, as well as providing good documentation. **What do you dislike about GenRocket?** There is nothing wrong with the software. On the contrary, I find it a perfect application that delivers precisely what it promises. Of course, it could have somewhat in the web version, but the truth is that it is a minor detail. **Recommendations to others considering GenRocket:** GenRocket can manage the entire database at all levels. I find it convenient to use as many functions as possible because they complement each other impeccably, beyond simply getting the most out of all the money invested in the purchase. **What problems is GenRocket solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use the software to create large amounts of data tests. Therefore, it is advantageous for e when have to test our clients' websites and even when I want to make changes to our company's website. After changing the model, I even used GenRocket to make minor adjustments to the data. ### 2. The best thing is that they are always available for the quick support and listen to us very carefully. Their higher management is extraordinarily excellent people. **What do you dislike about GenRocket?** However, there is nothing to dislike. The tool is excellent. One possible enhancement is to enhance the tooltips (i). I have communicated to the team in my prior review **What problems is GenRocket solving and how is that benefiting you?** I generated synthetic data to test HIPAA, PII, and similar features to support data loss prevention products developed by us. Initially, the generated data had a few issues which get resolved once reported. It helped a lot to make our product better before releasing for customer. ### 3. Things such as test data volume, it's distribution and it's format can be defined dynamically for different use cases - short learning curve, convenient user interface - the basic concepts of the tool are easy to understand, connecting the generators together and creating scenarios is very satisfying. Webapp is very readable and containt many useful shortcuts and workflows - fast generation, customizability - for me it's very good for creating test data for performance tests where the data needs to follow non-trivial business constraints. Milions of datasets can be generated between several minutes and few hours. - richness - many built-it generators and output data formats (and reusability of them, once again) - good documentation - the capabilities of the tool can be learned from the documentation, it also helped me during solution assesment phase when chosing a TDM tool - team - Genrocket team members are kind, honest and willing to help with use of the tool **What do you dislike about GenRocket?** - minor UX problems in the Webapp - access rights management in the Webapp could be improved - I encountered encoding problems in case of some locales on Windows outside USA **Recommendations to others considering GenRocket:** Test data manager/designer needs good familiarity with the business logic of the system you are testing. It's not a solution for reusing production data. **What problems is GenRocket solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are creating significant volumes of test data for performance/load testing. I managed to cover three of them with the help of Genrocket already. The system also allowed me to adjust the data after some data model changes. ### 4. However, it is the willingness of GenRocket to work with you to ensure that you get exactly what you need to from the tool to the point of creating new algorithms very quickly, e.g., a couple of weeks, makes it exceptional. Being modular, the tool is able to cater for use cases that involved data transforming through multiple steps without losing integrity. There isn't anything else out there like the GenRocket tool and it is no suprise that uptake is rapidly increasing. It is an essential component of the Test Data Management toolkit, but the use cases are clearly much broader. **What do you dislike about GenRocket?** Nothing to report. GenRocket handles questions fantastically and their willingness to work closely with you means there is really nothing to dislike. **What problems is GenRocket solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using GenRocket to quickly create data for Mainframe test environments which was previously attempted with limited success and significant effort using excel macros. ### 5. It also aids self-service and blended data generation combination of production and synthetic data. **What problems is GenRocket solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ability to create Synthetic Data for complex XML schema structure, provide data on the fly to automation scripts as part of DevOps cycle. Overall reduced cycle time from 20 to 80 percent on different scenario and higher test coverage. ### 6. Typically the only data that is consistent across the entire application portfolio is customer data, and now with GDPR, the use of this data is becoming more and more restrictive. Production data rarely allows us to exercise edge cases, negative testing, financial periods in the future or with data that has not yet made it as far as production we have found GenRocket to be the perfect fit. ### 9.
