## About Genesis
Topology Optimization Simulation

## Genesis Reviews
  ### 1. Extremely helpful in product development/formulation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Masooma Z. | Research and Development, Consumer Goods, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Genesis?**

I love that it stores all the raw materials added by any other user for everyone else to use as well. Also, really like that you can customize any raw material in the system and use it in formula and others can also reference your formulas in the future.

**What do you dislike about Genesis?**

Adding your own raw materials and others having access to it can sometimes lead to selecting materials that don't have the right specifications and then result in a wrong nutrients panel. So it's always important to double checks specs on a raw material added by another user

**Recommendations to others considering Genesis:**

This is a great tool especially if you're in the field of product development/ formulation. Really helps save a lot of time and money

**What problems is Genesis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Genesis as a tool to generate nutrition data/panel facts and ingredient lists during product development and exploratory development phases. Data is typically theoretical but serve as an important gauge to maintaining nutrition profiles and spitting out reference documents and spreadsheets. This precludes hand calculating everything every time the formula is changed or adjusted, and the need for frequent analytical testing.

  ### 2. My experience with genesis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Sales Consultant, Financial Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Genesis?**

I love how genesis has real-time saving on known clients information updates and applications that are being put on. Genesis also is great at going between the home screen and service browser

**What do you dislike about Genesis?**

Genesis does not track clients that you put into the system to pull information and save them as contacts. When you are busy servicing several clients at once it would be helpful to have them saved as you search there name

**What problems is Genesis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Client management via insights. The insights help provide better insights toward what needs the clients have

  ### 3. Convenient and easy to learn

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2018

**What do you like best about Genesis?**

Software has a huge database and very organized.

**What do you dislike about Genesis?**

Lots of the bakery ingredients are not on the database

**Recommendations to others considering Genesis:**

Food industry

**What problems is Genesis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calculate nutrition facts quickly and easily to save labor cost

  ### 4. Stressful

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2018

**What do you like best about Genesis?**

Ease of use. I like how there are codes to go to another screen.

**What do you dislike about Genesis?**

It keeps crashing every now and then. There are too many codes I have to learn.

**Recommendations to others considering Genesis:**

Run

**What problems is Genesis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer Service, general daily use

  ### 5. Perhaps the most robust topology optimization solver on the market

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomasz T. | Senior Mechanical Engineer, Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2015

**What do you like best about Genesis?**

GENESIS appears to be a solid topology optimization simulation, but the real strength can be seen when you start applying geometry/manufacturing constraints. GENESIS has an entire gamut of constraint combinations - and is able to solve to them!

The real fun starts when you use GENSIS through ANSYS with the GTAM add-in. You get the slick ANSYS GUI and workflow, and the GENESIS functionality.

**What do you dislike about Genesis?**

Even for someone who used to work with the old Algor, the user interface and data entry of standalone GENESIS feel really dated.

**Recommendations to others considering Genesis:**

Try to compare with SolidThining Inspire and Simulia Tosca.

**What problems is Genesis solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Structural design for electronic devices: telecom, medical, LED illumination systems.
