Freemake Reviews & Product Details

Freemake is a free tool having many things to like. It supports multiple formats like MP4, MKV, AVI etc., allowing seamless conversions between them. It has support for basic video editing options like cropping, trimming, adding subtitles etc. It also has the option to download videos from popular platforms like youtube facebook etc. It is a good package for someone who has to do light video editing. Some things that I dont like about freemake: it's revenue is generated through ads, which can be irritating at times. Also, advance features are lacking, with occassional crasher and performance issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The software is easy to install on your desktop and gives you the basic tools you need to convert video files to different formats and do basic edits. Its simple enough that little leaning is required. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Anything beyond the basic editing tools is not in Freemake's repertoire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy to use. It also offers a wide range of file formats to convert. It also is flexible enough to handle video and audio files with many different output codecs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It offers some editing capabilities but it would be great if those were expanded. That would help in instances where I don't need to edit a full, new video but rather just need an extended clip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It comes with easy to use software and its user friendly.

The multipurpose usability of this product is great.

It can be used for Downloading/Converting/Editing, which is great. As other apps/software does not provide all these in one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The need to install/use different versions of the apps for different usage such as downloading, editing, converting is not very convenient. If we can use as all in one app, that would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It's easy to use plus it was a one time cost. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That audio is not included in the bundle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hard to find anything that I like after having a charge made to my credit card without my permission. 0/10 - I DO NOT recommend. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The deceitful sales model. DON'T DO the $1 trial - it is a scam. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Freemake has a ton of different file formats, as well as built in editing tools to correct aspect ratios, shorten length, and so forth. They have some good guides online and it was a breeze to get started after downloading the product.

You can even save your favorite export settings so can be ready to go each time you need to convert something. This makes it easy to select your presets for different jobs, be it portrait or landscape, higher resolution, etc. You can even suggest a size for freemake to save each file, though it commonly ends up even smaller for me.

It runs very fast, especially if you ever tried online options before. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Freemake tends to need to run on its own recently with me, though I admit my PC is older and could be the issue. If I try to run it in the background while doing other tasks, it crashes.

I encourage you to try on a newer machine if you have one before letting this make a decision for you.

It also asks to run a lot of updates, but that's never been a big issue for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Relatively easy to use, very buggy. Keeps crashing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not enough features, thumbnails for slide show tiny, only one track per slideshow available, keeps crashing. The rendering resolution is really crappy Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Their deception of going through freemake, but creating an account in fastspring to confuse their customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Everything about the software. Useless!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The customization of your video clip duration and even the codec settings is covered totally under this product. The best part is the file size compression or file size control functionality which was really unique and comes really handy for fast renders and quick previews. In the previous version, there were some issues regarding the audio video sync if we would change the audio settings or the codec maybe. However, surprisingly this problem hasn't occurred since the last update I guess. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
