"FPT.AI - Easy to use Text-to-Speech and Speech-to-Text API for bulk generation"

What do you like best about FPT.AI?

- Easy to integrate API for Text-To-Speech generation. We wrote simple script to create wav files with notations and implemented it within several hours

- Perfect for Vietnamese language, more then 20 voices to choose from. Lê Minh was our favourite

- Documentation and examples in PHP, cURL, Python. We used PHP & Curl

- Supports WAV and MP3 formats

- Free package is enough usually for our needs, we bought this only once to do bulk generation of 120+ narrations

- Have both interface for manual generation and API, we tested both ways

- In general it's good tool to manually convert text to speech, or speech to text, or we use this tool 2-3 times a month in batch mode Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about FPT.AI?

- Accent in English speech, but it's ok for our needs

- Voices are not very variative

- We got 404 error from service twice, but customer support reacted quickly enough

What problems is FPT.AI solving and how is that benefiting you?

We use this service to generate voice narrations for videos for one of the client's website that tells about events in AI niche, translating to different languages. Manual mode is enough usually for our needs, but for batch mode to translate 20-30 videos a time we use simple script to run it using API and cURL. Also we tested Speech-To-Text recognition, but this usage was very limited, we translated video news about AI from Youtube to text form, but was not completely satisfied with results.
