When we reviewed different survey tools two years ago, Formbricks already came out on top in almost all dimensions: feature range, GDPR compliance, accessibility, integrations, and price. Since then, the product has been improved and expanded many times during our time as a customer. It’s impressive to see how quickly it evolves and how consistently the team takes feedback into account. Thanks to the strong API, we can easily integrate Formbricks into automated workflows and work flexibly with the data we collect. We also switched to a self-hosted setup some time ago due to the high compliance standards in government, and it’s great that Formbricks supports this option. **What do you dislike about Formbricks?** We’re looking forward to being able to customize our self-hosted Formbricks instance with our own design system. I know this is already on the team’s roadmap, and it would be a really welcome addition. **What problems is Formbricks solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Formbricks for user research surveys, registration forms, and even a small research panel. Whether you're using a no-code option or an SDK like React, the setup is quick and smooth. Plus, the platform is totally privacy-focused, fully compliant with GDPR and CCPA, and if you prefer, you can self-host it, which is awesome. I also love how customizable everything is—you can really tweak the design and branding of your surveys. Another big plus is that it's open-source, so most features are free, and there's a strong community backing it. **What do you dislike about Formbricks?** Now, on the downside, while Formbricks is easy to integrate, some of the more advanced features do require a bit of technical know-how. It gives a lot of flexibility. It's focus on privacy is outstanding. They seem to really understand user journeys and have tools to add to each stage of interactions. **What do you dislike about Formbricks?** I did not used to like how to self host but now you can just reploy with one click to Railway and that is amazing. **What problems is Formbricks solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allows us to create better user segments by triggering forms on various stages of our users journeys. Easy self-hosting makes it possible to keep your data 100% private and compliant with GDPR, CCPA, etc. **What do you dislike about Formbricks?** It's early in it's development and misses a few key integrations to make it work well with existing product stacks. If you want to use in-product surveys you need to add a code snippet to your codebase. **What problems is Formbricks solving and how is that benefiting you?** Formbricks allows us to granularly survey people using our app. We can pass user attributes to Formbricks which allow us to pre-segment our user base.
