## About Flux
Flux is browser-based PCB design software (EDA) with a built-in AI copilot that works as a hardware co-designer. It generates schematics from natural-language prompts, selects and places components, routes traces, and runs design rule checks, taking a project from idea to manufacturable board in one tool. There is nothing to install: projects run in the browser with real-time multi-user collaboration. Core capabilities: - AI copilot for schematic generation, part selection, placement, routing, and design review, including full plan-to-layout workflows from a text prompt - Schematic capture and PCB layout with live design rule checks - Real-time collaboration: multiple engineers can work in the same project simultaneously - Component library with sourcing data, plus BOM and Gerber export for manufacturing - Import support for Altium and KiCad projects Flux is used by startups, hardware teams, and individual engineers as an alternative to desktop EDA tools such as Altium Designer and KiCad, and by teams migrating off Autodesk EAGLE after its retirement in June 2026. As of 2026, Flux has 1.1 million registered builders and 6.4 million projects. Pricing: paid plans from $20 to $158 per month, with AI features metered through compute credits included in each plan. **What do you like best about Flux?**

I like the web based idea of program, implementation of new technology which is AI for PCB design, also worth mentioning is real time price of components

**What do you dislike about Flux?**

The main feature needs a lot to be considered good. From my experience it was a bit laggy to use

**What problems is Flux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Implementation of ai which will result in decreasing work for engineers

**What do you like best about Flux?**

You can describe your requirements to copilot AI and it can give you a list of components that you will need and explain how to connect them together and even write a code for a firmware if needed.

**What do you dislike about Flux?**

There are a lot of parts in the library and you can import new parts from KiCAD files but if you need some unique component the part creation process is time-consuming in Flux.ai.

**What problems is Flux solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I designed PCBs for my clients, and it's easy to share them for review, to get confirmation about details from a client, etc. You don't need to make PDFs, screenshots or send CAD files and a client doesn't need to install a CAD tool or something.
