"The Gold Standard for License Management"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Flexera One?

I really appreciate Flexera One for being the gold standard when it comes to tracking IBM, Oracle, and Microsoft. It's an officially certified replacement for the IBM License Metric Tool, which is a huge deal for us. It's also been formally verified by Oracle Global Licensing and Advisory Services. Plus, it automates the complex SQL Server core licensing rules for Microsoft, which is incredibly helpful. I also like that Flexera One automatically calculates effective license positions and can generate audit-ready reports, which saves us a lot of headaches. And I love how we can integrate it directly with ServiceNow CMDB to enrich our configuration items with normalization and lifecycle data, making our processes much more seamless. Lastly, even though the initial setup was complex, the integration process was fast, which was a big plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Flexera One works well overall, but it's not plug and play and has onboarding complexity. The initial onboarding is quite heavy and requires significant technical preparation. Deploying the beacon architecture across segmented corporate networks and securing access from the security team takes longer than expected. The initial setup process is complex, although the integration was fast. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexera Brings License Management and Cloud Spend Into Clear Focus."
4.5/5
What do you like best about Flexera One?

At Cyberscout we have a mix of old on-prem stuff and cloud services and it was always a mess trying to track it all. Flexera pulls it together and shows you what's going on. The license management part is great, we found some duplicates we didn't even know we had. The FinOps piece helps me understand cloud spending better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

The onboarding was tougher than I expected. There's so many features that it feels overwhelming at first and I definitely needed some handholding. Customizing reports was not as easy as I hoped, I ended up using the default ones mostly because I couldn't figure out how to tweak them the way I wanted. We also had some trouble pulling data from a couple of our older systems and had to do some manual work arounds. The cost is pretty high too which is always a concern. "Accurate Entitlement Tracking and License Reconciliation at Scale"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Flexera One?

When we had a number of business units and wanted to track our software entitlements and infrastructure inventory to a fine degree of accuracy, Flexera’s Technopedia database normalized inconsistent raw data that originated in our hardware, cloud instances, and local devices. Our automated license reconciliation engine also allowed us to easily correlate difficult product use rights, sub-capacity concepts and vendor metrics like IBM PVUs or Oracle DB cores without the use of spreadsheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Initial set up is definitely a significant hurdle especially if you're getting into custom data connectors, or complex policy settings for older non-standard applications. The UI is occasionally clunky due to how many sub-menus you have to dive through, and occasional minor API rate limits can sometimes hold up bulk dataset exports during busy reporting periods. Describe the project or task Flexera One helped with:

Flexera One provides a comprehensive solution for managing cloud costs and usage. It offers centralized reporting, cost analysis, and billing data management, making it easier for teams to optimize their cloud expenditures. However, improvements in user experience and real-time data updates could enhance its effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Flexera One?

I like Flexera One because it gives us distinct visibility into our cloud spending and usage, making it much easier to understand our memory expenditure and identify areas for cost optimization. Additionally, having the billing and usage information readily available in one place saves us time during cost reviews or when preparing reports. The centralized reporting and cost analysis provided by Flexera One have been especially useful for our team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Flexera One?

The Application Recognition Library (ARL) and Product Use Rights Library (PURL) help optimize software licensing, reduce compliance risks. Flexera One provides excellent visibility into software assets, with strong reporting capabilities and reliable inventory. The cloud platform is easy to maintain, and it’s continuously improved with new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Configuring the more advanced asset management features feels overly complex, and the tool’s cost is a concern. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Superior Reliability and Compliance"
5/5
What do you like best about Flexera One?

I like the reliability of Flexera One's information. It is by far the best ITAM tool, with incredible intelligence for software compliance and an impressive level of detail. Flexera One also supports procurement and contract management. I can trust compliance for basically 90% of the products installed in client environments, which greatly optimizes management time on a daily basis (the other 10% require detailed analyses that no ITAM tool today would support, so it's not a problem). The information is valuable for building detailed compliance reports that we present to clients. Additionally, the implementation and configuration is smooth due to the excellent support from the manufacturer for queries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

I think the interface is not the most user-friendly. Given the amount of information it provides, I understand that it's difficult to simplify without losing functions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful IT Visibility and Reporting to Tackle Hardware and Software Sprawl"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Flexera One IT Visibility helps us keep track of hardware and software sprawl. Reporting allows us to review obsolete end of life software in order for us to develop a remediation plan. Reporting metrics allows to identify to our management via graphical reports and board on progress being made and new instances that show up over time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Building custom reports can feel daunting. An AI bot would be helpful for assisting with creating the data presentations we need. One area for improvement would be better integration with our management platform, NinjaOne. We also don’t use a lower-tier package because of the pricing of the more inclusive packages. Onboarding was difficult at the beginning, especially when working with support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexera One Review - New great features"
4/5
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Real-time inventory updates through the SaaS connectors are a major advantage for us. Along with the bulk data import features for transactions, it helps streamline our processes and saves us a lot of effort, especially when we’re handling high volumes of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Flexera One is strong overall, but I find the updated UI and UX less intuitive than the previous version. The new sidebar, in particular, makes navigation feel slower, and I have to put in more effort to find key information.

Functionally, the AI feature that imports PDFs to pre-fill contracts is a great addition. That said, extending this capability to handle more complex purchase orders and multi-line quotes would be a huge time-saver. Lastly, expanding the Microsoft 365 connector’s capabilities to deliver deeper insights would add significant value as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
