"Recommended Tool for ITAM"

"Flexera One - THEE BEST all encompassing Technology Value Optimization platform on the market"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Flexera One is a feature-rich Technology Value Optimization platform. It originated in the Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) space and has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs of the industry. The platform has expanded into areas such as FinOps, SaaS Management, Technology Intelligence, Compliance and Security, Cloud Migration, ITOM integration, data enrichment and normalization, and AI-powered solutions.

What sets Flexera apart is its comprehensive coverage of use cases and integrations. It offers the largest, most robust, and most complete technology intelligence and data normalization libraries on the market. It continues to grow in alignment with customer and industry demands.

I use the Flexera One platform daily to access essential information that supports critical decision-making. To put it simply, it’s the best, and it keeps getting better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Sometimes, when you have such a highly customizable solution, getting to the outcome you're looking for requires more knowledge / effort than the average person has. Thus, requires additional help / services to get there. But the overall value of the outcome in the end (and continued outcomes), eclipses any investment made. "Flexera One - Cloud FNMS with room for improvement"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Inventory: The Flexera Agent works well and reliably. The rollout was relatively smooth and worked well on most platforms right away.

Data Sources: Various data sources can be connected, such as the Adobe Admin Console or the Microsoft Portal, to further enrich the data in the tool.

Scalability: Since Flexera One runs in the cloud as opposed to FNMS, the tool can be scaled more easily and new environments, such as test or encapsulated systems, can be quickly set up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

SaaS Management: The SaaS management, as with many other providers, does not yet seem mature. There are connectors similar to those from USU that can connect specific portals. However, the data is often not really usable. So far, there is no meaningful SaaS Discovery.

Migration to Cloud: Especially at the beginning, it was noticeable that Flexera One was simply a weakened porting of FNMS to the cloud. As a result, the depth that FNMS offered was not present. However, this is being improved step by step.

Authorization Management: In my opinion, the rights and roles concept is not yet mature. I wish for more granularity in rights assignment, especially for complex organizational structures. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Flexera One high customization potential"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

The customization capability are very high. I'm working in a large company with complex organization. Flexera managed to customize the Flexera One in order to best meet our organizational requirements. Every thing which goes beyond ITAM (we were using FNMS in the past) is highly valuable and provides a lot of additional opportunities and potential to replace redundant tools covering the same set of data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Report creation in ITAM. The main issue I had in FNMS is still there in Flexera One. Sometimes I must create large ITAM reports including parameters for device, inventory, assigned user etc. Once the report is saved and run the order of the parameters is completely mixed up, specially once I modify the report eg. by adding an additional parameter the order is again mixed up completely after saving. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive IT asset management solution"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

The platform provides excellent visibility into software inventory across multiple environments. Asset discovery works well and saves significant time compared to manual tracking methods. License compliance monitoring has improved our audit readiness and reduced compliance risks.

The unified dashboard for managing both cloud and on-premises assets is valuable for hybrid infrastructure. Integration capabilities with existing systems work smoothly. The software normalization feature accurately identifies applications and helps maintain clean data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Report generation could be more user-friendly and flexible. The interface requires training for new users to navigate effectively. Some processes still need manual intervention that could benefit from additional automation.

Initial deployment and configuration required more time and resources than expected. The learning curve is steep for team members without prior asset management experience. Certain advanced features have limited customization options.

UI seems to be quite laggy after recent upgrade and it gets too slow to load certain modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good tool for asset management"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

What I like most about Flexera One is its ease of use and how seamlessly it integrates with a wide range of data sources. Its intuitive interface allows me to navigate and find what I need quickly, making it a tool I use frequently in my day-to-day role. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

The only downside I’ve encountered with Flexera One is its AI-powered features, particularly the one that auto-fills purchase order (PO) details from vendor documents. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Comprehensive but Requires Learning"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

The platform provides a clear, consolidated view of assets across multiple environments. Its analytics and dashboards make it easy to track usage, optimize licenses, and plan for future needs. I also value the integrations with other IT systems and the scalability that supports complex, multi-vendor environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

Flexera One can be complex to learn and set up, especially for teams new to IT asset and cloud management. Some reports take time to generate, and navigating advanced features may require additional training. While powerful, it can feel overwhelming without proper onboarding and guidance. "Flexera One: A Robust and Reliable Solution for Software Asset Management"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Flexera One’s strength lies in its robust discovery and normalization capabilities. Compared to other tools I’ve used, it consistently delivers more accurate and comprehensive software identification, which is critical for effective asset management.

I especially value the detailed file evidence it provides, including file paths. This feature is incredibly helpful during audit processes, as it allows for precise tracking and validation of software installations across the environment.

Flexera One makes it easier to maintain compliance and optimize software usage with confidence. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

While Flexera One is a robust and feature-rich platform, the reporting capabilities within the ITAM and FSM dashboards could be improved—especially for executive-level users. More intuitive visualizations, high-level summaries, and customizable reporting options would make it easier for leadership to quickly interpret key metrics and trends.

The ITV reporting looks fantastic in terms of layout and clarity. I wish similar enhancements could be applied to ITAM and FSM to provide a more consistent and executive-friendly reporting experience across the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I am using Flexera One for a cloud spend optimization platform"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Flexera One is a complete SaaS solution including FinOps, SaaS Management and Asset Management. We use the FinOps module (CCO) and it provides a rich set of features (cost reporting, allocation, planning, optimization, etc) which help us to make cloud spend predictable, optimized and aligned with strategic business priorities. It is also very flexible as it provides a framework (policy framework) to implement custom automated jobs to address specific requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

There is nothing I dislike about Flexera One. Of course the tool can be enhanced with more sophisticated features, but we see that the feature roadmap is quite rich and new features and new modules are added on regular basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great Tool for Cost Optimization and Savings"
What do you like best about Flexera One?

Flexera one makes it easy to track and optimize software and cloud costs. It helps us identify unused licenses and reduce unnecessary expenses, which saves a lot of money. The reporting features are clear and helpful for making smart budget decisions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Flexera One?

The setup can be a bit complex at first, and some features take time to learn. Occasionally, integration with certain platforms could be smoother. No major instability or issues in our deployment, and the value far outweighs any small hurdle Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
