Film Scheduling Software Reviews & Product Details

Studiovity's film scheduling software is a professional, AI-powered digital solution designed to help Assistant Directors (ADs) and producers organize and manage production timelines across both web and mobile platforms. It serves as a critical bridge in the production workflow, translating deconstructed script data into an actionable shooting plan. Core Scheduling Features - 1. AI "Magic Scheduling": This core automation tool can automatically reorder and organize scenes based on specific criteria such as location, time of day, and page count to create the most efficient shooting sequence. 2. Digital Stripboard: An industry-standard interface that uses a drag-and-drop system for manually arranging, ordering, and managing scene strips. 3. Boneyard: A dedicated holding area for scenes that have not yet been placed in the active schedule, allowing for flexible planning. 4. Automatic Daybreaks: Users can set goals for page counts or hours per day, and the software will automatically insert digital "daybreaks" to separate one shooting day from the next. 5. Episodic Scheduling: The platform supports scheduling for complex projects, including episodic web series and multiple scripts within a single project. The "Schedule-to-Call Sheet" Integration - One of the software's most powerful functions is its direct link to the Call Sheet module. Once the schedule is finalized and daybreaks are placed, users can use the "Magic Call Sheet" feature to automatically generate a daily call sheet. The system pulls all relevant data—including scenes, cast, locations, and assets from the Department module—directly from the schedule to ensure 100% accuracy. Reporting and Logistics - 1. Automated Production Reports: The module generates and exports various standard reports in PDF and Excel formats, including: . Shooting Schedules . One-Liners . Day-Out-of-Days (DOODs): Tracks daily production details and talent/asset usage. 2. Integrated Production Calendar: A high-level Gantt chart view that allows teams to track milestones, task integration, and project-wide timelines. On-Set Mobility - The software is designed for dual-platform parity. While the Web View focuses on detailed planning and complex reporting, the Mobile View is optimized for the set, allowing ADs to adjust the schedule on the fly and sync updates instantly with the entire production team.
