Easy to learn and implement, my staff in the field become proficient quickly. It is also very quick and easy to upload new revisions to ensure everyone has the most up to date documents. I don't feel like the tasks feature is very user friendly and have not found it very applicable, I have tried using it on various projects and don't find it very helpful. It is also a little difficult/cumbersome to share documents with subcontractors. It would also be helpful to have a submittal/shop drawing feature so shop drawings could be viewed similar to plans. As a general contractor, Fieldwire has been extremely helpful for us. It has given us a platform that centralizes communication and allows management to monitor real-time progress on our jobsites. The application has also saved us time when preparing progress reports, RFIs, and PCNs. Additionally, Fieldwire makes it much easier to do drawing mark-ups and plan reviews thanks to its digital features. Overall, Fieldwire has helped us transition from traditional pen-and-paper methods to a digital workflow, resulting in greater efficiency in our project implementation. The most effective feature of Fieldwire is just the plan management. Being able to access the most current documents on my phone is a must and it’s easy with Fieldwire. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The most frustrating thing about Fieldwire is that if someone on my team adds an outside user, using the good-sense logic that it would be helpful for their trade contractors to have access to the plans, it automatically begins charging our account for a new user, without any kind of notice to the employee who added the new user. My field guys don’t know who has accounts and who doesn’t, so if they try to add someone who doesn’t have an account, it would be really nice if Fieldwire would give them a confirmation notice that says tells them that we will be charged if they add that user. I like being able to upload drawings and add photos via dropped pins in Fieldwire by Hilti. The real-time access to these photos and the ability to pinpoint where photos are taken is really convenient. It's also great that the photos can be accessed by everyone and updated in real-time. I appreciate that Fieldwire is cloud-based, making it easier to understand compared to the traditional paper methods which have a larger margin for human error. The initial setup was very easy too. I love the task option in Fieldwire by Hilti. We assign hundreds of tasks for every job, and it's great for management to know when a task is completed. As a low voltage company, we use it to track every step of installations, like keypads, from prewire to trim to completion. When on your phone or tablet, being able to switch back and forth between things quickly. It's not as fast as being at a desktop. It usually goes that you need a detail from another project or something and have to keep switching back and forth. When on my desktop, I'll often times keep 2 or 3 web browsers open with Fieldwire on them to be able to jump back and forth between things I'm working on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While the core functionality is there, the user experience feels a bit clunky at times. For example, the signature process isn’t as smooth or intuitive as it could be, and customizing or filling out daily reports can sometimes feel more time-consuming than necessary. I like that Fieldwire by Hilti can be shared and used by multiple users at the same time. I also think it's very useful because it makes it easier for people in the field, who sometimes have difficulty accessing digital information, to use the information instantly, since those of us in the office can upload everything they need. So far, the only thing I haven't quite liked is the way it titles the plans when I upload them. If there could be a better service in that part, I think it would be the perfect tool. But it's not something that affects me too much either. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I think the plans section is great, but the real standout for me is the OneDrive sync. The two-way sync feature is awesome because it means I don't have to repeat myself in two different places, which works well for me. I find the ability to mark and update plans, which is then reflected on OneDrive, really valuable. It means that even people without access to Fieldwire by Hilti can still see the changes. Setting it up was pretty easy for me, mostly because I could do it myself and found it straightforward. The videos helped a lot, and when they didn't, reaching out to someone on the team was effective since they usually got back to me quickly. I appreciate that. I think the RFIs, the responses to the RFIs, I feel like we should be able to section them out. We should be able to create folders for the responses, you know, in case it's like a really long RFI. Right now, you can only drop attachments. So that's not really ideal for, like, a really long winded RFI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how convenient Fieldwire by Hilti is and appreciate that it's cloud-based. As long as you have Internet access, you can easily access and use it on an app, iPad, or computer, which is super handy given that our teams are scattered across different states and job sites.
