Using the simple Teacher Console, techers can eliminate distractions from surfing the web to online gaming. This classroom management solution helps teachers create a better learning experience, while helping IT teams manage and support multiple labs with ease. ## Faronics Insight Reviews ### 1. New update was not properly beta tested. Faronics had a major overhaul in the last update and it has been a disaster. I can not share my screen with students ( a very important feature when teaching coding). The remote control feature is completely disfunctional. Sometimes the program won't even open. I filed a ticket with faronics over a month ago and they still haven't fixed the problems. I do not recommend this product to any school district or business. **What problems is Faronics Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Right now Faronics is not helping me at all. My instruction has been hurt by the poor quality of this product. ### 2. The ability to see their screens is helpful, as well as being able to open or close programs for them and share my own screen. **What do you dislike about Faronics Insight?** Faronics Insight has a serious learning curve, frequently crashes, and runs off of an installed software (meaning every device HAS to have it installed in order for it to function). Class lists have to be edited and re-saved in order to add any student to the monitoring. Class monitoring can't be scheduled and has to be manually started for each class period every day. **What problems is Faronics Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** Behavior and on-task management of students during the digital age of teaching is easier. ### 3. It's easy to go between the different computers and remotely access each one. **What do you dislike about Faronics Insight?** You can resize the windows of the different computers smaller but if there aren't many computers you need to monitor then it would be helpful if you could make them bigger. You can only have it be small or full screen. There are also, too many options on the home screen that I don't use frequently or at all. **Recommendations to others considering Faronics Insight:** Make sure to deselect the computer you are viewing when you are done with it. If you are using it with others then they will not be able to access the computer if you have a computer selected. **What problems is Faronics Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use it to monitor students' computers while they are testing. Before beginning the test we use the remote access to put in the test passwords in order for them to begin. ### 4. You can see all of the computers screens in the lab and present anyone of them to any other. **What do you dislike about Faronics Insight?** I dislike that we haven't been able to get people engaged in using it. It isn't a problem with the software - it works great. It is a problem in getting people to change their ways. **Recommendations to others considering Faronics Insight:** Have a business plan on how to train, evaluate and help people use the product effectively. **What problems is Faronics Insight solving and how is that benefiting you?** This allows a professor the ability to see what is happening on any computer. To be able to demonstrate and control any computer and to be able to display what any computer is doing. ### 5.
