Faronics has never been a great product but it did work most of the time. Faronics had a major overhaul in the last update and it has been a disaster. I can not share my screen with students ( a very important feature when teaching coding). The remote control feature is completely disfunctional. Sometimes the program won't even open. I filed a ticket with faronics over a month ago and they still haven't fixed the problems. I do not recommend this product to any school district or business. Faronics Insight DOES allow monitoring of student computers and the ability to remotely control their devices. The ability to see their screens is helpful, as well as being able to open or close programs for them and share my own screen. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Faronics Insight has a serious learning curve, frequently crashes, and runs off of an installed software (meaning every device HAS to have it installed in order for it to function). Class lists have to be edited and re-saved in order to add any student to the monitoring. Class monitoring can't be scheduled and has to be manually started for each class period every day. The software can do a lot and the main features we use are all readily accessible to use. It's easy to go between the different computers and remotely access each one. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can resize the windows of the different computers smaller but if there aren't many computers you need to monitor then it would be helpful if you could make them bigger. You can only have it be small or full screen. There are also, too many options on the home screen that I don't use frequently or at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is pretty simple to use and is very powerful. You can see all of the computers screens in the lab and present anyone of them to any other. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike that we haven't been able to get people engaged in using it. It isn't a problem with the software - it works great. It is a problem in getting people to change their ways. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

You can oversee what all students are doing on computers and send them messages to remind them to stay on task. You also have the ability to remotely control computers should the need arise. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
