# Which yard management platforms work best for a 3PL provider that manages multiple client yards and needs to give each client visibility into their own trailer inventory without mixing data?

Hi G2, one thing first: per-client data separation is the one requirement here that recent reviews say almost nothing about directly, so anyone answering purely from review scores is guessing on the part that matters most to a 3PL. What the evidence can do is show which yard management tools are actually running multi-client and multi-facility operations today, and which vendors build for 3PLs on purpose. So, which yard management platforms work best for a 3PL provider that manages multiple client yards and needs to give each client visibility into their own trailer inventory without mixing data? Here's the short list:

Conduit: Already running multi-client yards in production based on recent reviews. One recent reviewer, clearly hosting outside parties, says all of their customers use it for booking, and another describes validating that every truck entering the yard is expected, which they credit with labor planning and theft prevention. That's client-facing yard operation working in production, even though no reviewer describes the data-partition mechanics.

M.Folio: Built with 3PLs named in its target market, with every yard visible from one dashboard across a network of facilities and per-site workflows (vendor-stated). Recent reviewers confirm smooth driver check-in and eBOL workflows across sites with a clean audit trail on documents, which maps well to proving activity to a client. Interface learning curve is the recent con.

Dock Optimizer: The only product in the category whose vendor positioning leads with high-volume 3PLs, offering carriers a self-serve booking link with no app or portal login (vendor-stated). It has a single G2 review, so demo it rather than take the score at face value.

GoRamp: Lists 3PL providers among its target segments (vendor-stated) and its page summary credits simple, low-friction scheduling that outside parties adopt easily. The page cons to probe: limited customization and restricted access to configuration, both of which matter when every client wants their yard handled differently.

For the data-separation requirement itself, put the same three questions to every vendor: can a client log in and see only their trailers, can reporting be scoped per client, and who owns the data when the contract ends. None of those answers exist in reviews today, which is worth knowing before anyone quotes review scores at you in a sales deck. Any 3PLs here running one yard platform across multiple clients, and did client-scoped logins actually work as sold, or did you end up exporting reports manually per client?

You’re right to call out that reviews rarely touch true data partitioning, but that’s the whole problem in 3PL setups. A lot of tools support multi-site, but not clean client-level isolation with separate reporting and permissions. If anyone here is actually running multi-client yards, I’d be curious: did you rely on the platform’s native permissions, or end up building reporting layers outside the system to keep clients separated?
