"Clean Survey Attribution and Flexible Custom Fields for Executive Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

I’ll tell you, what I appreciate most about Fairing is how cleanly it captures customer survey and attribution data, and how flexible its custom fields are for tying those insights back to our vendor and executive reporting. I’m Bellazreg Chaima, Executive Operations & Administrative Coordinator at Pine Ridge Partners, our small Fort Worth private firm. Our team is 11–50 people, and I handle executive scheduling, board document prep, vendor contract tracking, and cross-department performance reporting. I test a wide range of SaaS tools — CRMs, expense platforms, cloud storage and reporting software — so I value something I can tweak to feed usable data straight into our leadership reviews.

A few weeks back, we ran a targeted post-purchase feedback campaign for a portfolio brand we support. Before Fairing, we collected customer feedback through messy embedded form tools. Responses landed in disjointed spreadsheets, with no simple way to link survey answers back to ad source data, vendor fulfillment batches, or the stakeholder reference numbers we use internally. Every time our leadership asked for a snapshot of which marketing channels were driving satisfied buyers, I’d have to merge multiple exports, cross-check rows manually, and clean up duplicate entries before I could build the board report.

Fairing solves that pain point really well. I set up tailored survey fields that align with our internal tracking: campaign identifiers, fulfillment vendor codes, feedback category tags, and the stakeholder reference numbers we attach to each initiative. When a customer submits their survey, Fairing automatically captures which ad touchpoint led them there. I can pull that raw dataset, run CSV exports, and feed the aggregated insights directly into our quarterly performance slides for the C-suite and board. We ran a big feedback push for a new product line recently, and this setup let me quickly show executives which vendor fulfillment runs had the highest customer satisfaction.

I also like that I can build unique survey variants for different sales channels. If we’re running traffic from social ads versus partner email campaigns, I can adjust what questions pop up, then separate those datasets later. Since we don’t have an in-house IT team, I also appreciate that Fairing supports webhook triggers. I can send cleaned survey response alerts over to our document system, so our admin team doesn’t miss important negative feedback that needs escalation.

Fairing isn’t a full CRM or contract management platform, and I don’t expect it to replace the tools we use to track expiry dates on vendor agreements. Its strength is narrow, focused attribution and feedback collection. It consolidates survey responses and marketing source data in one reliable place, cuts down hours of spreadsheet reconciliation, and frees me up to draft board packets, maintain our admin reference guides, and keep our executive workflows running smoothly. What do you dislike about Fairing?

To be frank, Fairing does a solid job capturing purchase surveys and ad attribution data, but its custom field workflow has some real limitations that make our executive reporting harder than it needs to be. We lean on custom fields heavily to tag survey submissions with things like vendor identifiers, stakeholder reference numbers, and campaign batch codes. I’d hoped I could build dynamic forms where certain fields pop up only depending on the ad source or fulfillment vendor we select. For example, surveys tied to our logistics partners need extra fields for delivery feedback, while surveys from direct website sales don’t require those same logistics tags. But Fairing doesn’t support conditional logic at all. All custom fields stay visible on every survey form, no matter which audience segment we’re targeting.

A few weeks ago, we rolled out a feedback campaign covering three separate vendor fulfillment streams. Some respondents wound up filling out those irrelevant fields by accident. That created inconsistent, messy survey records. I had to go back and manually clean hundreds of entries one by one before I could compile the clean dataset our leadership needed for the board packet. It drags out data prep and makes our aggregated metrics less trustworthy if I don’t catch those errors.

I also find Fairing’s notification routing pretty rigid. We need different alerts for different scenarios: a notification when high-priority negative feedback comes in, a simple digest of normal survey responses, and a follow-up once we’ve escalated an issue to the vendor team. But there’s no way to fine-tune who gets which alert. Sometimes the whole admin team gets flooded with routine survey summaries that only I need to review. Other times, critical complaints slip through because the alert didn’t route to our operations lead. There’s no nuanced rule builder here, so I’ve gotten into the habit of logging into the dashboard multiple times each day just to verify nothing urgent slips past us.

And one smaller frustration: the CSV export formatting isn’t very flexible. When I pull survey data to feed into our quarterly performance reports, the column headers are locked to Fairing’s default labels. I can’t rename them to match the naming convention we use for our board records. That means extra editing in Excel every single time I run an export. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fairing will help you gather the customer insights that help you become a better marketer"
5/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

I've implemented Fairing across 25+ clients over the past 2-3 years. Every single client is still using Fairing insights on a daily basis. Why? The data forms a key part of their understanding of what drives customers to purchase and the decision making process they go through. The ability to then gain key qual and quantitative data allows for smarter segmentation, better personalisation and better business results.

There are a steady stream of updates to the app that have helped gain a better understanding of LTV data on a cohort basis as well as time series that allow you to spot trends, especially useful when it comes to considerations for your Meta Ads strategies.

2-3 Shopify apps are my 'essentials'. Fairing is one of them. A highly recommended tool for all ecommerce marketers, whatever stage of growth you're at. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

The way data is pushed into Klaviyo is a little cumbersome as Klaviyo's custom properties are in a drop-down format with a limited character length and Fairing questions are usually for longer. I'm literally scraping the barrel to think of something I dislike here....! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to use Shopify app that will help you quickly gain customer insights"
4/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

Fairing has an easy to use question bank so I don't have to build questions and topics from scratch, but rather implement recommended questions. Because it only takes a few clicks to create the survey questions from their bank, we've been able to increase the amount of information we have about customers significantly. And when we begin to see trends from customers filling in answers from the Other option, we can easily create a new option and recode those previously submitted answers to make analysis simple. What do you dislike about Fairing?

Would love more filters in the analysis. Would be great to filter responses based on what a customer purchased. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Super Easy Way to Understand Our Customer and their expectations"
5/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

It gives us super quick insights into where our customers are coming from and why they bought. The post-purchase surveys are easy to set up, and the data has helped us make better marketing decisions without the guesswork. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

Honestly, there’s not much to dislike. If I had to pick something, I’d say maybe a bit more flexibility in customizing the survey flow or logic would be great. But overall, it does what it promises really well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

At ByGartner, we’ve tested several survey tools for our Shopify storefronts, and Fairing quickly stood out. It’s incredibly intuitive to set up and customize, even for non-technical team members. The integration is easy and intuitive. Response rates have been solid, and whenever we’ve had a question, the support team has been quick and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Fairing?

Fairing has been a great triangulation tool for to understand the efficacy of our marketing (across the many paid and organic initiatives we invest in). This tool has helped us make some incredibly powerful decisions. the visualizations and integrations are great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

Honestly, not much. Sometimes I wish there was an easier way to analyze the data without having to rely on data scientists. But I think the next phase of Fairing for us is getting the response data in our data warehouse Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great team, Great product"
5/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

Incredibly easy to implement and delivers high-quality zero-party data almost instantly. The ability to ask customizable questions and segment responses by product, channel, or campaign helps understand the “why” behind conversions in a way attribution tools can’t. It’s become a core part of our brands marketing stack. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

The UI could be more intuitive when navigating between different survey responses or creating complex question logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable first party data!"
5/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

The response rates are higher than any other solution I have tried. The first party data we collect is so valuable and used across the business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

It would be nice to have some more built in reports, but I know that’s on the roadmap and the data is easy to export and manipulate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Makes it really easy to understand influencer marketing performance"
5/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

I love that it’s so easy to understand the full context of what customers responses mean.

There’s not only the survey response but a whole bunch of other data (discount code use, utm, and now LTV analytics, etc) that’s helpful in understanding more.

This means that it’s easy to understand ambiguous data (which is common in survey responses) by cross referencing.

The ability to recategorise responses is another really useful feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

I think their API could be a bit more robust — but it’s something most people won’t use so it’s alright. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The BEST post-purchase survey tool, with great features!"
5/5
What do you like best about Fairing?

I'm the owner of a Shopify store, and have been using Fairing since around the time we launched. The platform is incredibly easy to use, and iterate on. It has helped us uncover incredibly valuable insights from our customers. We briefly tested other post-purchase tools, but they had a much lower completion rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Fairing?

I truly can't think of a single thing! It's an incredibly valuable tool, for both open-ended and MCQs. Great support too! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
