Nginx requires so few resources compared to Apache. In the same way that the Chrome browser has replaced industry experts, Nginx has provided us with an excellent alternative to Apache. I use Nginx to run some popular open source software and it works great. We have also used it as a load balancer in the past because it is an affordable alternative to commercial load balancers. The configuration can be a bit complicated. Most web applications are ready to be deployed via Apache, and you have to play with the nginx configuration to make it work. If you want it to work with something like PHP, you need to have PHP running as a server and it cannot simply be loaded into Nginx as a module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
