**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

I handle some of the accounting for my office which includes receipting the ePay deposits in our accounting software. The emails with the batch information make it easy to find exactly who made a payment and how much they paid. It's even better when they link it to the exact invoice number. I don't worry about digging through anything to look for what amounts of payments go to which clients. I also like that the batch emails let me know to look for a deposit in the bank account so I can know when to record it.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

Some of our clients credit/debit cards are not accepted on ePay, making it harder to process transactions for them. They either have to pay in cash or write a check. With one in particular they are a city government organization so there is more red tape to get a check written and get the invoices paid.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are an insurance agency, and ePay allows us to collect down payments and premiums that come directly to our office via credit/debit cards or by an electronic check. This opens up more options for clients to pay bills that we handle when the insurance company does not.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

I love how easy it is to use — my clients can choose ACH or credit card and instantly see the difference in fees. I also appreciate that the fees are passed on to the client automatically, so we don’t have to manage them manually. The invoice feature is another huge plus, allowing us to email invoices directly to clients and pay carriers through the Payables feature. Overall, it has streamlined our back end tremendously.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

You can add an attachment when sending an invoice, but I wish we could add a signature field for e-sign to the attachment so that it could reduce a step on getting our proposals signed.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ePayPolicy solves the challenge of handling payments quickly, securely, and transparently. Before, managing fees and processing payments was time-consuming and created extra back-end work. Now, clients can easily choose ACH or credit card and immediately see the fee difference, with those fees passed directly to them instead of our agency having to calculate and add them. The ability to send invoices directly to clients and pay carriers through the Payables feature has streamlined our entire payment workflow, saving us time, reducing errors, and giving our clients a smoother, more professional experience.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

I have to admit, I was hesitant to switch my invoicing as I had been using QB for a decade and was certainly comfortable with that platform. I decided to do a demo with ePay because it allowed me to include a credit card payment option to my clients that automatically passed the fee onto them without me having to revise anything on my end. I learned in the demo that I could also simultaneously offer financing options to each client without having to quote through a separate system. Essentially this allowed my clients additional options to pay without costing me any time.
Every interaction with the ePay team has been great though. I highly recommend this platform and they are constantly, actively looking for ways to improve it with real customer feedback.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

There are a couple downsides: 1) Finance currently only allows one option, so if I need to alter any of the terms I have to manually quote outside the system 2) ACH has a fee associated that was not the case with QB.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allowing multiple payment options for my insureds.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

What I like best about ePayPolicy is how simple and reliable it makes the payment process for both clients and our agency. The platform is user-friendly, easy to set up, and helps ensure payments are processed quickly and accurately. It saves time, reduces errors, and makes tracking and managing payments much more efficient.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

The main challenge with ePayPolicy is that it requires an invoice to be created in HawkSoft before a client can make a payment. Occasionally, it can take a few days to receive the invoice from a broker, but the insured needs to make a down payment to bind the policy. This means we sometimes have to create a temporary invoice for the down payment, and then generate a final one once the broker’s invoice arrives.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ePayPolicy solves the problem of delayed or missed premium payments by giving clients an easy, secure way to pay online. It eliminates manual payment tracking and reduces errors from checks or phone payments. For our agency, this means faster down payments to bind policies, accurate records in HawkSoft, and less back-and-forth with clients and brokers.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

Easy with which to transact receivables and payables. One stop shop for a smaller agency. Good invoicing tool.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

We were unaware of the maximum limit we could receive being capped at $25,000. This is something that should have been discussed in the initial setup so not to arise when your billing clients in excess of the $25,000 limit. This proved to be embarrassing with our first few client setups.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We asked for a limit increase at inception and provided our personal financials since this is a new startup agency, even though I have been in the business for 40 years we could not get past the initial limit. I sincerely hope Epay will circle back to me so we can readdress this issue. Most of our clients have AP's greater than $25,000 and this means we cannot take advantage fully of this program.

Takes the "check is in the mail" reasons out of payment delays

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

Slow pay on larger ($10k+) payments and max of $25k per payment. They will pay faster and increase limits BUT YOU have to provide financials, answer questions, and qualify first. The other thing is that there is no "invoice request" or reminder for payment options, like Square (and other systems) offers (and has been for years...). During an ePay training/Zoom, I posed this question, and the host said "I will follow up with you and take that offline."  That never happened, there was no follow-up. Net-net, if this system is *really* going to benefit retail agencies, it should have integrated invoice systems, payment reminders, and reports noting unpaid invoices.

Epay has been an incredibly efficient tool for my agency. The fee for using a card right now is 3.5% which is a bit elevated in my opinion, but having the ACH option at 1% makes it easier on the client.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

The convenience and ease of use with being able to offer processing payments that are not within the insurance companies website has been the most helpful feature of our experience.  When customers are out of town or live in other areas of the state, the convenience has made it a very customer service friendly service to offer.  Also the implantation process was so very easy! My contact has always been easy to reach, talk to and follows up regularly.

We have not found any downsides to ePayPolicy to date.  Our experience has been fantastic!

This has been a niche that has needed to be filled and ePayPolicy has done a great job of talking to the agents and filling in the gaps.

I love that ePay automatically uploads the batch into Applied Epic and applies the debits to credits.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

The only downside is that there isn't a full streamline of premium payables yet that would match items in the premium reconciliation.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ePay aims to assist with more streamlined premium payables, which could potentially save my team around 5 to 8 hours each week. We often struggle to match all the invoices timely to the premium reconciliations, especially since we have to pay multiple carriers every time.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

ePay  provides a significant benefit to our clients allowing them not to write and send us a check (especially when a payment may be late because of mail time) They also have the option to use a credit card to submit payment. Since I am the only person in our company that processes payments, I can now be out of the office for an extended period of time :) It is easy to use.  We can provide a payment link in our billing invoices making it convenient for our clients.  It provides a receipt directly to our client for every payment made.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

I do not see one downside for using ePay.  I am so grateful for ePay!

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Faster processing times for client payments.  Client can now use a credit card to make payment.  No need to receive paper checks in our office.

The ease of use is great as is the convivence of making payments to those who accept Epay and receiving payments from our clients.  Straight forward and easy to find what you are looking for.  The communication from Epay is wonderful, they are always on top of any issue that comes up.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

I am not a fan of the large ribbon/text at the top of the site when making payments to our companies that accept Epay.  It takes up a lot of space and is confusing, since it is not required to log in, or create a log in.  It is just confusing.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is making it so much easier to receive and process payments from our clients.  It is also making processing payment to our companies a lot easier and simpler.

Being able to allow my clients a secure easy payment process helps me bind policies faster. ePay also allows for me to send a refund back safely and timely if needed.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

ePay makes our renewal and new business binding process much more streamline. Instead of having to wait days or weeks on an unreliable postal service for checks to arrive we are able to simply send a link to our client, have them click to pay, then we have a receipt in our inbox. Super easy to learn and implement this system in our agency. We use it daily. Customer support has been great on the rare occasion that we need help.

There are 3% credit card fees and $10 ACH fees. Clients don't mind too much as i have seen clients pay either way.

I love how easy it is for our customers to use ePayPolicy.  It's also easy for them to see what the fee will be if they choose between ACH and credit card.  We use ePayPolicy every day in our business.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

With the rising costs of insurance, we're getting more and more customers that need to submit higher payments.  They have to submit multiple payments for anything above the per-transaction limit, and for some reason that seems to be confusing for customers.

Not every insurance carrier offers direct-bill options, so this is great for any excess and surplus lines business.

ePay is such a breeze for clients and merchants to use. Simple straight forward platform that leaves no questions on how to utilize. It is also very inexpensive for the merchant.

Are able to do invoices, very user friendly for our customers & receive the receipts & the batches

The problem that we are running into is if the policy/reference/quote number is not put in the notes we have a very difficult time figuring out which policy the payment is for, especially when they have multiple policies. Not sure if there could be a line for Policy/Reference/Quote number. Concern on receiving notice that the client has paid.

We have cut back so much on payment processing times waiting for checks thanks to ePayPolicy. The convenience for both clients and us personally is unbeatable. Our previous payment system was not as convenient and was also more expensive than ePayPolicy.

We haven't had any issues to date with ePayPolicy.

Waiting for the slow and unreliable USPS to deliver checks. With clients able to make real time payments it cuts down on late notices and notice of cancellations from the carriers

We have been using EPayPolicy for years now. The cost has stayed steady and it continues to be easy to work with. We don't run into any issues, and they integrate with our other technology. I can't speak to their customer support because I never have to use it, but implementation was easy.

I haven't run into a downside of fusing ePayPolicy.

The ease of use, the service, and support!  Easy set up, right out of the box. We use it daily, it's that easy. We appreciate being able to send out professional invoices with our branding. The integration into your business is fantastic!

The amount of times you have to verify when logging in. I understand why but thats probably the only thing.

Working in the insurance industry, epay has come a long way.  Now it offers invoices for your customer can pay directly.  Its also integrating with most carriers in the insurance industry.

I love the ease and flexibility of creating an invoice.

I do not like nor do my clients the $10 fee for an ACH payment.  Given the rate for a CC payment, all of my clients have said Absolutely Not.

Giving me an opportunity to allow my customers to pay online.  However, the fee is an issue.

Ease of use - from logging to the MFS to receiveing confirmations. Everything is quick and easy.

Not being able to log into multiple carriers with a single log in.

ePay centralizes our payments to carriers.  We don't have to cut checks and worry about items getting lost in the mail.

It made collecting payments a lot easier. The system automatically calculated and applied credit fee. Also, it explained the fee is not charged by our agency. which avoid a lot of customer confusions.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

The ability to transfer funds to another business with an EPAY Policy account for only fifty cents per transaction.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

I would like to possibly expand the functionality of my EPAY Policy account, but in the past I haven't been contacted when I've requested information or put myself on the interest list of an upcoming feature. I've received marketing emails about monthly recurring payments between insured and agency via EPAY, Finance Connect, and integration. When I signed up with EPAY Policy, the integration (and subsequent set up) to Vertafore's AMS360 and InsureLink was not mentioned or offered.  Maybe I wasn't offered the integration because my aggregator is the owner and admin of our Vertafore account, integration is handled by the aggregator, and maybe the integration between our AMS and multiple branch agency's EPAY accounts cannot be set up due to the AMS being a large master account, with limited integration options?

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

ePayPolicy has saved our employees tons of time and has given us a central location for electronic payments versus multiple methods to track. Implementing and mastering this payment system into our daily operations took less than a day. The prefill payment page is simple and quick. We never have issues with the system and our clients find making payments super easy. Tracking our transactions and batch-outs takes no thought or effort on our part because ePayPolicy displays them perfectly on the page and offers an Excel spreadsheet for download. The cost is great for the service provided. We use this system every single day.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

I wish the site loaded quicker. Regardless of what you click or select, there is a lag in load time that is just this side of annoying, but not enough for us to change providers, obviously lol. I also wish the layout of the website was updated and more organized, especially the main dashboard. Aesthetics isn't as important to me as user friendliness and organization, but I do think the site could use a facelift. Otherwise, we love using ePay!

ePayPolicy has freed up a lot of time for our agents so that we can spend less time servicing and more time selling. We were also able to discontinue offering a full menu of payment methods and moved all electronic payments to ePay.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

We love how easy ePayPolicy is to use both from our customers side and from ours.  Implementation took no time at all.  Their customer support has been incredible from before we started using them years ago and remains that way today.  The team uses ePayPolicy daily and our customers have loved that we can accept payments so easily now.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

The only down side we have encountered to date is that when you go to pay someone, their system still shows accounts that are not active and will allow you to pay that inactive account.  We were able to get things corrected but it took months as ePayPolicy simply moves the money from one account to another.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to ePayPolicy we were unable to accept online payments or even credit cards.  ePayPolicy definitely understands the smaller insurance agency and is priced affordably for all.

There are many features that our agency loves about ePay, but I would say the best thing this company has is that they are CONSTANTLY rolling our new features, asking for feedback on what we are needing or where we see a lack in their platform that we woudl like to see added. Besides the fact that its very user friendly and it has great integration wiht your management system, you can use it to collects funds from clients AND pay your whoelsalers/brokers.

There really isn't a downside to ePay, I have found a need that you cannot do on their platform and had to find a work around for us, however when voiced to ePay they got to working on filling that need.

Invoicing DIrect Bill, but they are rolling out invoicing diretly within their dashboard so htat will fix the problem I am having.

**What do you like best about ePayPolicy?**

ePay Policy makes commercial transactions so easy!  I don't have to deal with the hassle of setting up credit card processing or paying those credit card fees.  My clients like the ability to pay by check online - then they don't have to pay those credit card fees either!  The money is deposited directly into my bank account.  The process is so smooth and hands off for me that it makes both my office staff and my clients happy to do transactions.   Their customer service and support are great to work with, although I've only had to deal with them for setting up.  I've never had a problem with them and have been using them for years.  I highly recommend epay policy for your online payment transactions.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

I haven't really found any downsides to using ePayPolicy.

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ePay Policy gives my clients a way to pay their premium right away without having to rely on mailing a check, which can delay payment for up to a week.

After many years of mannually entering payments while on the phone with clients, ePayPolicy has allowed us to just send a link or direct clients to our website to pay for their premiums and renewal premiums. This has saved us so much time and resources.

**What do you dislike about ePayPolicy?**

The only douwside is when using ACH payments because it sometimes takes a day or two before we know in that payment was declined for insufficient funds or an incorrect account number (but that is not an ePayPolicy fault, its just the way banks work via ACH).

**What problems is ePayPolicy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ePayPolicy is solving the problem of having to wait for the not always reliable postal service for a check.
