# Which file converter tools can handle automated batch conversion for repetitive document workflows while meeting compliance requirements?

I'd value a read from G2 experts who evaluate file conversion tools. I’m trying to work out which file converter tool handles batch automation for repetitive document workflows while meeting compliance needs for control and audit trail.

Going through the file converter category on G2, three keep surfacing: Adobe Acrobat, pdfFiller, and Foxit PDF Editor, reason being:

Adobe Acrobat: Offers the deepest compliance stack (SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA-ready with a BAA, 21 CFR Part 11) with Action Wizard that scripts the batch. But, per G2 Data, it has the lowest batch-conversion score of the three (88%).

pdfFiller: Wraps conversion in airSlate's no-code workflows and tops the group on batch conversion (98% score on G2); and has SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA (BAA), GDPR, PCI DSS compliance. But, it’s browser-only, and some reviewers find the automation shallower.

Foxit PDF Editor: Offers batch processing plus Smart Redact (AI PII detection) across many files, and has documented SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA (with a BAA), GDPR, eIDAS, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

A scheduled job that skips a log, the cloud step legal never approved, or the PDF that fails validation later. And is there any tool I've missed that nails both halves better than these?

The important distinction is between a tool that can batch-convert files and one that can run a controlled, auditable document workflow. Compliance usually breaks in the steps around the conversion, not in the conversion itself.

I’d evaluate these tools on whether they can show:

Who created, changed, approved, and ran the workflow

Which files were processed, skipped, or failed

Whether the original and converted versions are retained

Where files are stored and processed during each step

Whether permissions, retention rules, and encryption apply consistently

How the tool verifies that the output is complete and usable
