What do you dislike about Entuity?

The new patches don’t always include clear information about what has changed or how to implement the new features. Because of that, we often end up postponing version upgrades and having to open support cases just to understand and use those features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Awesome NMS tool"
4/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

Detail Entuity goes to with out of the box metrics captured over snmp and the ability to add further amendments or additions easily via support. Also very impressed by the new front end in Entuity 19 and 20 allowing the creation of multiple dashboards containing all sorts of widgets. We are looking forward to moving to Entuity 21 soon to make use of further new features such as the group mapping. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

Having to make amendments to each poller for certain things, this should be done centrally across all servers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Larry DeAngelis of Entuity

Hello! And thanks for the review. Multi-server topology mapping is being introduced with Entuity v21.0 which will be release in the next couple of weeks! Please let me know if you have any questions.

"Centralized Multi-Vendor Monitoring with Clear Performance Metrics"
5/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

What I like most about Entuity is that it provides centralized monitoring of a wide range of network devices from different vendors. It makes it easy to organize devices into views, configure thresholds and events, and quickly identify potential issues. I also find the interface useful for checking performance metrics such as CPU, memory, and interface utilization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

Some of the more advanced configuration options can take time to learn, especially when working with custom thresholds, events, and different types of network devices. The interface could also be more intuitive in some areas, which would make configuration and troubleshooting faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reagan of Entuity

Thank you for taking the time to review Entuity! We're glad to hear that Entuity has been helpful in organizing your device inventory. If you ever need additional support with configuration and dashboards, don't be afraid to reach out to us via our support site.

"Flexible All-in-One Monitoring, but Connection Failures Need Clearer Causes"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

Entuity helps us to monitor our servers, storage and networking devices in a single software. One of the upside of Entuity is its flexibility to set different filters to view different kind of devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

One of the things is that when a device's connection failure is detected, it doesn't show the possible cause, e.g. invalid credentials, port is blocked, etc. This makes troubleshooting become complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Intuitive Experience—Everything in the Right Place"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

It's very intuitive, as the name says. Everything seems to be in the right place to provide the best experience to the user. We have an integration with our ticketing platform that's working wonders. Also, we have another integration that we use to add/remove devices to Entuity via API and it takes no toll on the performance. The support was always helpful when we opened a case. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

There is nothing major to say. Entuity is a very good platform In my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reagan of Entuity

Thank you for taking the time to review, Entuity! We're happy to hear that your user experience has been a positive one and things are running smoothly with your ITSM platform.

"Robust Network Visibility with Strong SNMP Polling and Flexible Customization"
5/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

Entuity offers a very strong SNMP polling capability and provides robust network visibility. It also supports SD‑WAN and Cisco Meraki devices, which are not commonly supported by many other monitoring tools. In addition, Entuity now includes configuration management capabilities and can be easily customized to meet specific operational and business requirements. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

At the moment, Entuity offers limited support for configuration management. We still need additional functionality—such as IOS upgrades and more advanced configuration workflows. Strengthening these areas would be very helpful, since it would enable us to rely on a single platform for both network monitoring and configuration management. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reagan of Entuity

We're glad to hear that you appreciate our strong SNMP polling capability and robust network visibility, Sureshkumar. Our support for SD-WAN and Cisco Meraki devices is a key differentiator for us, and we're continuously working to enhance our configuration management capabilities to better meet your needs.

It also offers an easy-to-understand user interface and a very expandable platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

What I dislike most is the distributed database that contains device information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Painful Setup and Costly Licensing Held Back Implementation"
1.5/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

It can be a good central repository for storing and monitoring network switch configurations if it knows how to talk to your switches. It can collect information about network congestion and hardware issues.

It helped identify network loops / changed trunks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

Painful to configure. It required hours and hours of work to try and collect information from our switches and was never fully set up.

Licenses get consumed quickly and are not cost effective.

Onboarding was long calls working with a technician to figure out how to communicate with each model switch. We never even got to working on monitoring servers before we gave up.

Could never integrate monitoring of an Oracle enviroment the way we wanted.

UI was not always intuitive. Had to hunt/remember where to set things up.

Thank god it did not have AI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reagan of Entuity

Thank you for the feedback on Entuity. Onboarding and configuration should be smoother than that, and we're sorry that wasn't your experience. If you're still having trouble getting your devices monitored, we will help directly. Please open a ticket at support.entuity.com or email support@entuity.com and our team will pick it up.

"Highly Customizable with Room for GUI Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Entuity?

I like that Entuity is very customizable and allows for very nuanced setups. It supports a number of different IT platforms like storage, wireless APs, VMware, AWS EC2, and switches. With the ability to support many different platforms, it offers a mythical single pane of glass to monitor the environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Entuity?

The software is very customizable, but there is a learning curve to it and to an extent a "Entuity" way of doing things. Some of the GUI interfaces are a little long in the tooth. Longterm an overhaul and realigning of the GUI would benefit users of the product. Some of the menu options are not as intuitive as I would like. I would like to see Entuity embrace some of the AI that is permeating other areas of IT and add the ability to create natural language queries, new alerts, monitors this way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from John Reagan of Entuity

Thanks for taking the time to review Entuity, Joshua. We're glad to hear that you find Entuity highly customizable and supportive of various IT platforms. Stay tuned for updates regarding Entuity's AI capabilities. We'll have an insider session taking place later this year regarding new AI enhancements.
