## Enpass Password Manager Reviews
  ### 1. Efficient and Secure Password Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Łukasz S. | Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

I use Enpass Password Manager to store all my passwords and generate new ones. I like the ease of use and the fact that it has a not overloaded feature set. I appreciate the integration with browsers via plugins because I mainly use it in the browser. The plugins suggest which password to use from the stored ones, which greatly improves the speed of my work. It allows me to securely store my passwords and relieves me of the responsibility to remember or write them down.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

It remembers not the right field instead of the password, but it happens rarely.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enpass Password Manager securely stores all my passwords and generates new ones, relieving me of remembering them. Browser integration speeds up my work by suggesting passwords directly.

  ### 2. Easy to use, Serverless password Manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mithilesh R. | Web developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

For enpass, to sync your password accross device you can choose cloud storage of your choice. You can choose from iCloud, Gdrive, nexcloud etc or even local wifi sync. So your data is not stored in their servers.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

In windows machines the browser plugin doesn't connect with enpass app even it is open and I have to relaunch entire browser which sometimes creates problems.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password management made easy, not only password you can save other details like Software keys, Credit card etc.

  ### 3. Best Open Source Password Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mohammed A. | Founder and Chief Editor, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2024

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass is the best open-source password manager we've used. Previously we were using Dashlane and Bitwarden. Out of all these we found Enpass to be the best as it is open source and offers a great desktop application.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass works well as a Password Manager but their Chrome extension is not so good because sometimes when you click to fill the password it doesn't fill. When that happens, there are many times when the Chrome extension needs to be uninstalled and reinstalled. This makes it very difficult during busy times.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of managing passwords is what makes Enpass so valuable to us. To tell you the truth, the main reason why we choose Enpass is that instead of Enpass's server, we can sync our passwords using cloud storage that we like and trust. We currently use Box. Similarly, we can sync our data using the cloud of our choice like Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, etc. This is very convenient for us.

  ### 4. Cross-platform, lifetime, own storage...FTW

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 27, 2023

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Two major selling points for me were the:
1. Lifetime licence (which I bought more than 5 years ago at a cheaper price, but the current price would make it worth as well), and
2. Own storage, which means that I can choose my own database storage location, local or online.

Enpass being cross-platform, so far I've happily used it on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.

Biometric (facial) unlock on Windows works well.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

- The browser extension tends to hang when starting. I would expect it to be much faster in order to say that it's seamless. It's been like this for years, but it's definitely not a deal-breaker.
- Another annoying aspect is the password strength assessment, it's too rigid, and it reports most passwords as insecure. The Enpass team explained that as they do not know each websites password requirements, they assume it calls for the hardest one, and this anything that's not it is considered less secure.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instant availability of all my passwords at my fingertips. I also use it to store some important documents that I like having with me at all times.
Password generator is also good.

  ### 5. Excellent fortress, lifetime license and you choose where your info are store

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Fast, privacy, you choose where to put your info in the cloud. Extremely well made and integration with everything (website, app, chrome, etc.) is perfect.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Nothing, I like every aspect of this program.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Power to have a different hard password for every little thing, multi platform, including Linux, seamless cloud backup. It's a life saver

  ### 6. Great password manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tyler B. | Sales Development Representative, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass is free, has a high volume of passwords to store, and is very secure. This is my go-to for work passwords, and is incredibly easy to set up. Compared to competitors, enpass wins because it is free and allows an unlimited set of passwords.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Nothing, really. It's a great product at a great price. Nothing works improperly, and I can't think of any ways this product could be better. It's an easy win-win.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Password storage, management, etc. The biggest benefit is securely managing passwords. This has made us much more productive, and we've seen our business performance increase.

  ### 7. A password manager you can completely trust upon

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hash M. | CEO/Founder, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

I've tried using many other password managers, but this is the only one I like & there are several reasons for this, first of all why would anyone use a password manager, to manage & save their passwords & keep them secure, but even if you use one, most of them keep those logins saved on their servers, but Enpass is the only one I found syncs it on my private cloud or OneDrive. It also allows me to use full potential of my Surface Pro devices, which allows me to use Windows Hello as an authentication protocol. The other good part is that its available on all the popular platforms like Windows, Android, iOS.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

The only thing which I disliked was the fact that the integration with MS Edge or Chrome on Windows was not a perfect one. Though I'm now accustomed for it, but its not that swift, whenever you need to fill a password, it wont be autofilled, you'll have to click on the Enpass extension icon & double click the login info saved for it to be filled. It could've been better, I still trust the Enpass developers that someday or other they'll bring in smoother experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

If you're a PC guy, this is a must have product especially if you're really concerned about your data security. I'm on a subscription plan for this & there's also a lifetime option which you can purchase. I'm planning to do that soon.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The no.1 problem Enpass solved for me is that I dont need to remember all of my passwords and neither keep them all the same, I can now use random passwords which can be generated all inside the Enpass app itself & use them for better security of my accounts. I also like the feature where I can right inside the app run an audit to see all of my passwords which are compromised & secure that particular website or app. Its very handy feature actually.

  ### 8. Password management made easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bram D. | Senior Consultant - Technical Lead Drupal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

I really love the ease of use of Enpass, it's very easy to manage logins & passwords of all kind of applications and also cross platform. For example you can sign in on your phone using the same login as on your laptop. Password generation is very easy and configurable if you want a very strong & random, or a strong & memorable password.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Sometimes Enpass fails to detect that you've signed in to a web application, although this most likely happens when the website or application you're using is not using a "standard" way of identifying a password/username field.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing a lot of passwords for all kind of different accounts, creating new & strong passwords.

  ### 9. All in One Password Manager that offers Best Browser Integration Plugins

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah W. | Writer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass is super secure password wallet/locker that encrypts your sensitive password data using 256bit Encryption. Enpass works seamlessly with browser plugins, this definitely comes handy when i have to backup passwords off the web browser to my password wallet (Enpass in my case). The 2 best things i like about Enpass are

1. That it allows me to store and backup passwords from multiple apps and devices (browsers) to 1 single place.

2. Their cloud sync feature is a live saver, Enpass takes automatic backups of all my passwords to my google cloud storage which is amazing, So if anytime there is a system failure i can rest assured my passwords are safely stored in my cloud drive.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

No exactly a big drawback but maybe they could upgrade their UI, their user interface is quite dated, looks very basic and dull. Maybe even add a dark theme while they are at it.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

If you are looking for a simple and super secure solution to save your passwords in one place then look no further and give enpass a try. You'll love it just like i did.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i use two different browsers and occasionally my phone for browsing websites on the go. Enpass helps me store all the passwords from all these devices and from different browsers in one single place. They also allow cloud sync, in my case i've synced it with google drive, this ensures that my passwords are always backed up and safe. Even if any of my device gets damaged i would still have access to all my logins that are stored on google drive via enpass.

  ### 10. It is safe and easy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sedef I. | Social Media Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Whenever I try to log in for an account it reminds me to save the password on Enpass or reminds me I can log in with Enpass.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

The design is really dull. The colors are too boring. It needs some visuals like icons.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

It basically helps you to keep track of your tens of different account passwords. In this era we are constantly creating accounts on the internet. And it is not safe to write them down especially on phones or computers. If you want a safe option, Enpass is great.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I save my passwords for not to forget them

  ### 11. A Perfect Free Tool to Save Your Passwords Securely in One Single Place

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mas bin K. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 18, 2019

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Probably the PIN Lock feature, cause i have added a long master password which is tiresome to enter each time i want to login to Enpass Desktop App, i can save a copy of it somewhere and copy paste it every-time but then that would be a security issue. Enpass has this smart little feature of Pin Lock, which requires us to enter master password only for the first time when you turn on PC and every other time after that you can access your password wallet/locker using a simple 4 digit numeric easy to remember pin.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Their support is slow to respond when reached out for help.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

Great tool to save all your passwords securely in one single location.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Enpass i can literally store passwords forever. with browser your passwords get deleted when you reinstall browser or OS. With enpass i can securely backup my passwords to my cloud drive and retrieve it whenever i need them.

  ### 12. Best Password manager in the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Daniel A. | Student, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

I use enpass it mostly from my iPhone to keep all my passwords and I like it for many reasons. - It is one time payments and there is not monthly subscription fees like most of the other apps
-Encrypted synchronization with my box account which means that I will never lose my passwords even if my phone was dead because it is safely stored om my box account
-It is very easy to use
- There is a master password to keep all your secure notes safe.
- There is a free version for desktop computer but I definitely recommend the paid version and they do great deals from time to time.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

So far I am so happy with Enpass and I don't have any complains. I really like it

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

Very important app to use if you want to have access to your passwords at any time and keep them safe at the same time

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enpass helped me to keep all my personal passwords safe and allowed my to access them at anytime even when I am offline.

  ### 13. I love Enpass for it's robust encryption, great browser integrations, and ease of creating passwords

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter G. | Web App Developer, Farming, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

I feel great knowing they use 256bit aes encryption. Beyond that the software integrations and different platforms they offer work fairly well. I use it on the iPhone, Chrome, Safari, Mac and Windows. I store my password db on Dropbox and that works flawlessly too.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

MacOS and Browser integration for touch ID is fairly buggy on Mac. In essence the password picker disappears when I try to use touch ID. The only way to get it back is to shrink chrome from fullscreen and then maximize it again. Honestly it's bad enough that I don't use touch ID on mac.

Aside from that I occasionally have issues syncing with my dropbox account across devices. I'm not really sure if the is a dropbox or an enpass problem though.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

Don't expect it to be perfect, especially compared to onepass, but it is a lot less expensive and it works well.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing both personal and professional passwords on all my devices is really easy. It also allows me to create robust and long passwords that I don't have to remember.

  ### 14. Effective free password manager

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Having tried a few other paid password managers, I was pleasantly surprised by what Enpass offers for free. In addition to storing log in credentials and suggesting effective passwords, Enpass can sync with iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, and others. It can also communicate with web browsers via an installable extension. In the past year of using Enpass, I have not run into any issues.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

There is little fault to find with this application. At most, it could use a bit more flair in its presentation.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

It's impossible to beat the pricing of Enpass. If you are looking for an effective password management system and are trying to avoid upfront or subscription fees, Enpass is the full-featured solution you've been looking for.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having hundreds of usernames/passwords across the Internet, Enpass provides a great solution for keeping those accounts secure.

  ### 15. Great app for EVERYTHING

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass is a free app. It may not be as good as other password apps out there but one of the reasons I like it best is because it covers all of the bases for me. It allows me to make the store my passwords for credit cards, websites, etc. You name it Enpass can do it. Enpass also has a very clean interface and is user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

I do think the security could be better for Enpass. Also, while the interface is clean it is not customizable. I think that if I were to own my own company I would use a more advanced password keeper and generator.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

Find out what kind of password keeper and generator you are looking for. Enpass is one of the best but lacks several advanced features.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enpass stores all of my passswords and it is like a reference book. I love this because many sites have different password requirements and I can always reference Enpass.

  ### 16. An Excellent Password Manager

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe C. | An Excellent, Simple, and Affordable Imaging Solution, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass has a great keyboard shortcut for populating passwords into forms. Alternatively, you can click the Enpass icon and search for any needed password on the fly. Also, when creating a new password for an account online, it does a pretty good job of detecting this and offering to save the password. It's a smooth experience.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Very little. The current version will crash occasionally if not launched as an administrator. But it's not so often that it's a deal breaker. The interface is a little old and tired, but not bad. I hope the next version, which is in beta at the time of this writing, will solve these issues. I know the new interface looks great.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

It's password management made simple and easy. It's got great features and customization, and it allows for multiple ways to accomplish your goals depending on your preferences.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it much easier to login to the various accounts I need to maintain for my business. Enpass is also very secure so I don't worry about the data being hacked.

  ### 17. An amazing password manager

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco M. | Programmatore, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass is an amazing password manager, I discovered it some years ago and I've always used it since then. This is what I most like about it:
- Modern and simple interface: you'll love how tidy and ordered it looks
- Various types of entries: you can save website logins, ID cards, driving licenses and much more
- Supports 2 Factor Authentication tokens
- You can attach files and pictures to your entries
- There's a built-in password generator with many options to choose from
- You can sync your vault online as well on a local NAS for maximum security
- Many devices available: from Windows PC to Mac, Android and iOS as well as portable versions
- Free to use on your desktop and mobile (but limited to a maximum of 20 entries on the mobile)
- Can autofill login fields on both desktop and mobile versions
- Has a quick fingerprint unlock option on mobile devices

I must also say that soon (at the end of May 2018) the Enpass 6 beta version should be released with a lot of new functions such as multiple vaults, new interface and much more. Of course I can only review the current version (and it's already great) but expect even more in the next months.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

Enpass is a great software, I only dislike some things:
- Autofill sometimes doesn't fill the form at the first try, you have to try a second time to make it work
- It's not open source, so you don't really know how it encrypts data
- The last security audit happened quite a lot of time ago
- Support in not very active on forums, maybe they'll answer faster if you contact them via email

I also have to say that as the new version comes out (read above) the team has promised to run a security audit, so we might also know that the software is indeed very secure.

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

Enpass is a great software, and quite cheap compared to the competition. Also the desktop version is completely free with no limitations. Only the mobile version is limited to 20 entries before asking you to switch to the Pro version (still very cheap). You won't regret to use it, I truly recommend it!

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enpass helped our team store all the login information of our websites, PCs and servers, so we don't have to remember all of them. It really saves us time with its autofill, and we can all work on the same vault so that we share our login information

  ### 18. Secure and Simple Password. Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicole H. | Content Writer/Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2018

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

I like that I can store passwords for every aspect of my life in a single location. Before I was forced to switch between a few different password management strategies, and it was impossible to keep important information centralized.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

I don’t like that you’re limited to such a small number of entries unless you upgrade to the paid version. I also think that the interface could use more guidance.

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Enpass allows me to keep the numerous admin accounts I have to keep up with straight and organized. I appreciate having a secure and portable way to keep so much sensitive data on hand.

  ### 19. It's the first password manager I use but I like it

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Enpass Password Manager?**

Once you work hard to enter all important passwords, it is so easy to look them up and also to regenerate passwords thru the Enpass app.

**What do you dislike about Enpass Password Manager?**

It might be a good idea to be able to print them all out in order to see if you have everything but I can also see where that would be a bad idea since you wish to keep them all private!

**Recommendations to others considering Enpass Password Manager:**

This Enpass App will save time, be secure and also generate passwords for you! It is user-friendly and the best thing since sliced bread!

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love how simple this app is. It does what it promises and does it well. No premium versions, no in app purchases or upgrades or annual/monthly fees. Have been using it for 3 years now and have had no complains.

I think the web extensions could use a bit of work. Also the interface looks a bit dated.

It's free to try, and I prefer it over it's competitors

**What problems is Enpass Password Manager solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have tons of passwords, each different from the other and expiring at different intervals. Enpass helps me track them all.

A new update to the software always prompts even when you tell it not right now. It also has not backdoor - if you forget your master password you have lost all your passwords. These are huge things though. The software is also not like LastPass - and can be local based which could be good or bad

You just have to remember one password. The free version keeps up to 20 passwords i believe. Its really useful for those arbitrary passwords that some sites require (One upper case, one number etc).

This product does a lot of things well but one thing that I dislike is that it can be a little buggy sometimes. The sync to Google Drive does not work sometimes but that is a rare occurrence.
