Search engine is powerful Elium provide open API to communicate with other Apps. Very useful. We plug Elium to our SSO in a few minute **What do you dislike about Elium?** It's difficult to manage External users not in our SSO and company users in the SSO. Sometimes, upload of big files such as videos failed. No preview for Xmind files **Recommendations to others considering Elium:** Elium is easy to implement and we go live quickly. Our needs were easily understood by the Elium consultant Team. Implement a KM tool need a lot of change management with our users but we dont had technical issues. If you want implement this kind of tool you need a Knowledge Manager to spread KM culture everyday in your company. **What problems is Elium solving and how is that benefiting you?** With Elium we concentrate all of our templates, research, experience in one place. Most users do not need training in order to use it. Tags and spaces can allow various profile to see only information they need to see, in a very easy-to-implement way. **What do you dislike about Elium?** Mass creation of accounts, linked to an Active Directory, required specific AD groups to create specific profile. This means we need to completely reorganize ou AD directories; Elium is not customer compliant on this point. **Recommendations to others considering Elium:** Do not hesitate to create as many profiles as needed. **What problems is Elium solving and how is that benefiting you?** Elium allows us to concentrate in one tool various information, instead of many Lotus Notes. A direct consequence is the end of difficult and expensive maintenance on various and old tools. It is also use as a main information center in the company. ### 4. Being color-blind (daltonian) the new subtle colour schemes can cause readability problems, but that is a general problem across many platforms. **Recommendations to others considering Elium:** Try and identify your real needs in as great a detail as possible, share them with the elium team and they have the expertise to show you how your needs can be met, or be honest and say they are incompatible. **What problems is Elium solving and how is that benefiting you?** Primarily a knowledge repository. As a global pharma company, regulations is key and having a repository where not only you can track document changes, but you can unleash comments on them sparks the whole company internal communication. I also like the fact that this is not just a tool, someone from the company came and tried to guide us as best as possible to the maximum usage of the platform. **What do you dislike about Elium?** Still a bit too work on for instance on external sharing capabilities and overall customisations of the platform. It is pretty rigide compare to a true Intranet but more flexible that social intranets such as Yammer. Not cheap neither. **Recommendations to others considering Elium:** If you were strugling between Yammer and Sharepoint and looking to a challenger, this is it. It is not as pharma regulated as Zinc ahead, but we decided to take a platform doing 90% of what we need then using something heavier and using only 50%. **What problems is Elium solving and how is that benefiting you?** Removing fences between departments and countries by using shared spaces. Ensure regulatory approval of marketing materials through workflows.
